Galaxy S4 Display discussion Thread - Galaxy S 4 General

So lets talk about the Display
What I hate the most about my galaxy S3 is the white Colour and the bluiesh Tint.
Is the Display on S4 better on this subject???

Galaxy Note 10.1 - backlight

Hi Guys,, I have Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 , l notice that the black background of S3 is much darker than the Galaxy Note 10.1.
Galaxy S3 - pure black background
Galaxy Note 10.1 - you will see the backlight on black background.
By the way, I am using pure black wallpaper, that's why I notice it.
Don't get me wrong both devices are okay and no problem encountered, this is just a casual question .
Thanks,.

This is normal the s3 has amoled display which in general has good black levels than the normal (pls screen in note 10.1 ) bec oled displays illuminates it self thus it doesnt need back leds to illuminate so when it is in black oled screens are actually off (not working in the black areas ) but pls screens are brighter and have more accurate colors

[Q] Whites/Blacks on Galaxy S3 AMOLED Screen vs Galaxy S1

Here's the thing: I recently bought myself a Galaxy S3, coming from the original GT-I9000.
I've noticed that the blacks are 'blacker' and whites are 'whiter' on the S1 compared to the S3.
What? Why? I thought the S3 was supposed to be better :'( or is it just my device that is faulty?
I have attached an image I took in the dark comparing the whites on both using that app "LCD-Test(AMOLED READY)"
S3 Left and S1 on Right
Help me out please?

Screen always on

I have a Galaxy S6 and as you know it has a super amoled display.. is there an app that can keep the display on always showing the time.. light up just a few pixels..

My S7 screen is SUBSTANTIALLY brighter than the S6. Is it software or hardware?

Even the white is way more white on the S7 whereas on the S6 it has the typical AMOLED dullness to it.

The S6 & S7 share the exact same display technology, e.g. AMOLED, resolution, pixel density, color depth, etc. The GPU's on the SoC's ,however, are different.
The perceived difference might be just your imagination or the more modern S7 GPU.

also remember there is a lot of S6's that has a yellow screen, not perfect white...so it maybe a perfect white S7 with not that good white S6
S7 has a more white display of S6 and with a better contrast, compared to person, and my S6 does not have a display of the most yellowish.
Compared to the Galaxy S6 Edge, my S6 has 10% yellow display and 90% white.

Galaxy S7 Edge Facing Pink and Green Tint Display Problems

Indeed Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is one of the best Android device till date. But I am really shocked to see that Samsung has not paid attention to the material used for AMOLED display. The same pink tint issue was there in Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Randomly many people are reporting pink and green tint issue on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge AMOLED display and it seems a hardware issue. Anyone of you facing the same problem? It should be covered under the warranty of Samsung.
If it's the same issue as in the video then you got the lemon. It is clearly defective.
I never have this problem.
