Edit: Someone else confirmed no vibrate as well. Not really a big deal for me.
I'm gonna flash it very soon. I will report back soon but I hope someone else can confirm or help you sooner. You my want to try wiping cache and dalvik again and if that doesnt fix it, wipe system and reflash. Keep checking the Rom thread too.

If it bothers you that much flash a different rom or wait for him to fix it.
Yeah same thing happend on my other rom. Im going to look into it. I think my java may have updated past 1.6 which causes that issue. Ill check it and downgrade then rebuild the rom monday.....lol i dont care about vibrate but
I do realize some people do.

Thanks silver i really like or rom... just need vibrate when im at work for text messages
can some tell me how to add vibrate,,, thanks in advance
What xcrazydx said. Either flash a different one or wait for him to fix it. This isn't some simple fix that we can just tell you to do.

I need an untouched copy of your efs partition, and would be more than happy to walk you through it. It will help us all in the long run and provide u with an opportunity to pay it forward, before u flash all those custom roms! thanks
PLEASE REMEMBER IT MUST BE A COMPLETELY STOCK AND UNROOTED SKYROCKET, NEVER BEEN TOUCHED. I NEED THE EFS TO BE PURE, NO CHANCES!!
How would this help us/you?

It will help fix that partition if and when it becomes corrupt or erased. Such as when flashing the NOTE modem and it messes it up.

Well should "we" even be flashing a note modem. It is from another phone. No wonder why its breaking. But if you find a way to patch it I guess it'll be good to have

Well, with some research you'll discover that a few have flashed it successfully with good results, others, not so much. I was one of the lucky ones who only had a slight problem, but others have entirely corrupt refs, without which their skyrocket will not function.

hey buddy, I got a second skyrocket that hasnt even been turned on yet. Let me know if you still need the files
Ok,
I'm trying to Unroot my phone and I've looked all around, including outside of XDA and I cannot find a fix. The K0nane method is a no go. Everytime I run it through ODIN it fails, giving me the DL screen of death on my phone. (phone----caution-----computer) I have to reflash the CWM .zip and it works again.
Can someone please PLEASE point me in the direction of a comprehensive unroot method? It would be greatly appreciated.
(yes I've looked, I've searched, I've combed, I cannot find anything that works for my Skyrocket.)
Any idea why Odin method doesn't work? Try the tar from sammy. Try a different version of Odin. Try a different computer or USB slot. Theres no reason it shouldn't work. Maybe reinstall drivers. Have you tried all that?
Sent from my SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
Have you Odin'ed the .tar from sammobile.com yet? It will take you back to original 2.3.5 unrooted and 3e recovery. Seems you are comfortable with Odin. Your phone will be unrooted. Make a backup of calls, schedules, messages and etc. With Kies then restore after you flash back to stock. You will have to redownload all of your apps. If you had a nandroid of 2.3.5 you could restore it then use the zergrush exploit to unroot.

Make sure your phone is connected via USB at moment you place the phone into firmware update (download mode) konane tar and Odin should work I hope that this is mistake you are making and that it works out for you mate.
---------- Edit---------
Make sure the phone is hooked up to the computer and then do the same step you would do to place the phone into recovery mode, without the USB cable connected your phone will not go into download mode. Make sure none of the boxes on the top are checked in.
Hey thanks guys, i'm looking into all of this asap. I appreciate all.the responses as soon as i'm back to a computer thanks to all.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Odds are if it doesn't work for your skyrocket means you are doing it wrong . Odin failing can happen for a variety of reasons. Bad usb cable, not using a Motherboard usb port on PC (if desktop use rear USB ports, don't use any adapters or external USB hubs), not using Download mode. Just to be sure run ODIN as admin. Plenty of references in general and Q&A.

Rooting was the easy step and from experience Samsung has the easiest to root phones. Mind you i'm saying this based on the blood, sweat and tears of the devs who paved the way. This is a great community and the tools available are awesome.
even for the absolute noob the"all in one" guide in the Dev forum is awesome. Hell even for someone not new to it the all in one rocks!
Again thanks so much guys, and for the record, after getting flamed enough times in the past for posting a question that I know damn well has been asked, yes I'll dump HOURS into combing the threads and googling and checking various other sources before I ask anymore. can you get in to cwm recovery, if yes, then it depends where you put your rom, internal or external sdcard, copy the rom to both

I'd say the easiest route(if you can get it into download) might be to find a friend with a windows computer that you can borrow for a few minutes to load up odin and drop the stock rom back on it.

I figured that I might post this to help some people as I see this posted a lot.
Are you one of the ones that tried to install a custom recovery on the MF3 update? Are you facing a never ending boot sequence or device just freezing at boot screen?
Try this to help you get a normal boot so your phone is at least usable. (Note that your factory recovery will no longer work!)
First off, do a battery pull.
After you put the battery back in (make sure it's not plugged up) go into download mode.
Click Cancel instead of continuing into download mode. Chances are your device will boot up normal. I've tried this with a device I own and also tried it on a few others (through PM and chat online).
If this works for you please let me know!
Lol I figured this out in 2 mins of owning the phone.

If you're stuck in download mode and cannot get to your OS, I think that counts as a brick! Yes, btw, post 11 in the first thread I linked shows the solution which I have been telling others to do...which you did us the favor of making a post about as well. I agree that it's good to make this post, though I think your thread title could be more useful if you edited it.
Also, should this method not work for some people, an alternative method is a good thing to have.
Thanks again and have a nice day! :good:
I seem to be helping folks with the issue I have posted here in many other post. Have also had some PM's about it. Any suggestions on making this more searchable?

Funny lol. Well, I tried. And failed lol. Was just trying to save some others time that keep getting so stressed about answering some of the same questions over and over.

I think my suggestion in post #8 is still a good one.
Your current thread title makes it sound like you tried to flash a custom recovery on MF3 and it didn't work. There's no way anyone would read that title and think there's a "How To" guide in it.
Alright maybe that will work.

Lol I found this thread after I figured it out for myself. I was kind of hoping this would lead me into a way to get back my recovery.
This is how I fixed my brick.
Flashed this file in ODIN. Now my phone boots normally. Got it from another thread with a diff issue here on XDA. I tried it and it worked. Wish I could remember where and what the thread was called. I believe it was this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2360859
