I have a problem in linking apps to ext partition...whenever i have to link an app it first send to internal phone memory then links to ext partition.
but d prob is that i dont have much internal memory to accumulate apps of size 40mb n all. so is there a way to directly link apps to ext partition??
and i use link2sd.
Hey there,
You should try using other scripts like Mount2sd.. If your on gingerbread. I think its safe enough to upgrade to ICS or even JB now..
Its worth a try

yea i am on gingerbread and i'm in love with stock sense rom. i upgraded to JB didnt like it much so reverted!
So i will try using mount2sd but will it work with stock rom? i updated the kernel and overclocked it to 800mhz. guess it wont cause a prob with stock kernel thing!
Most probably not.
Just to be sure, update your busybox from play.
And install mount2sd from play store

Then select move app ,dalvik and data.
I don't recommend reverse mount ~not that the script has problems with rmount, but for other reasons.

Bro it's hard to go from link2SD to mount2SD. I suggest you do a clean install from scratch(from original stock Rom without link2SD ever having root permissions )and don't install link2SD @ all.
Having said that, if you still wanna go from link2SD to mount2SD, click my signature below ~go to scripts section there and click the final link there.

If the ruu works great, if not, I write here alternative methods
Tell you what..
Step 0. Make a nandroid backup
Your market is probably updated..
Your updated market (may have a different name.. )will be in /data/app
While your original market (vending.apk will be in /system/app)
Make a copy of data /app market in /sdcard.
Now delete both vending.ask in system and in data/app.
1 Fix permissions, wipe cache and dalvik cache
Reboot
2.Now put the updated market (of which you have a backup in sdcard) in /data/app using fx file manager
Give it permissions rw r r
3.Using fx file manager create symlink of that updatedvending.apk in /system /app
If you have enough space in /system (skip step 2 and 3), you can just copy that updated apk to system/app itself..
Repeat step 1
Please do google and test every bit and no silly questions without research.
Hope it helps

I am getting error in Mount2sd script
"the content of /sd-ext/data is to big to reverted back to data!!!
Please help me getting out of it
I am on cm10 with oc kernel
Hi
First of all read the rules in the stickies.. Regarding posting of questions..
Now to your question
If your data is too big it won't be transferred back to phone memory. Try clearing data of unnecessary apps ( get it in app info ) and clearing internet history cache etc..
Also I will recommend you to SEARCH before you post a question. There's a good chance someone might have asked the same question before.. Or you might find the answer in other threads. I am not saying about this question. But am talking future questions just in case..
Hope I helped.

Stock Rom only supports fat32 format ...
Download mini partition tool to it computer .
Partition your sd .
Use fat32 format for both partition and select both partition as primary .
A dialog box may appear telling comp can only detect any 1 partition ... It is fine ..
Now unplug your phone from computer and link the partition in link to ad and enjoy

I read that i need scripts , busybox, a init.d moddified but i don't know if i have that
So i need a little help and what recommend to use :mount2sd link2sd or ungaze
PS: sorry for my bad english
Ungaze is best for CM10 beta 6 as I was using it before. No harm in Mount2SD as well. For Busybox download the App from playstore.Just type Busybox and you will get a app of it's name.As for init.d support download Pimp my ROM.

with pimp my rom?
If it is giving error than use Pimp My ROM for init.d support but be careful before applying any other tweaks from pimp my ROM.
all in all.. as you have installed busy box now, install init.d from Pimp my ROM, flash mount2SD and than reboot twice.Done!
I do that. now phone is slow and sometimes apps not respond
Use any memory script with CM10b6
If you are using CM10b6 by sak, then you may use any of the Memory Script available, since the rom has init.d, busybox support. But pesonally i prefer Mounts2SD.
You will never face the "Low Memory" issue with it, if you restart the phone, which you may find in other scripts.
But remember you need to have a SD2EXT memory.
