£600. I wouldn't pay that but I can see the appeal of such a device.
May as well release a Galaxy PhoneTab 7" and get a man-bag
holy frak! Expansys-USA has the Note for 934.99!
Man, I'm not sure if I want to spend almost a 1k for a phone. Though, I rem I said the same thing when I bought the SGS2 when it first came out at $700 shipped. Still 1K is a lot of clams, I might have to wait until AT&T's version.
I figured as much but I guess I was just hoping it would be around 700-800.
http://www.expansys-usa.com/samsung-galaxy-note-5-3-android-tablet-221966/
So I should be able to order one of these up from Clove/Expansys, and plug and play on AT&T here in the states, correct? Anything else that is required to get this phone working Nov. 1st in the US?
Why on Samsung and Clove site there is no word about gyroscope, OTG, MHL , Cpu type?
I know for sure that it will not have NFC chip.
I hope that it will not be an downgrade in funcitonality over SGS2 because i really whant to preorder it.
EDIT: i saw a nice youtube video and just found that it has OTG ans MHL.
Still not sure about gyroscope.

btw don't fall in the clove cheap and unethical tactics
Samsung announced earlier that the price will be 550€/pounds, but clove is greedy and want to earn more money, so they use their reputation to make a ultra high price that they know that are not real, then few days later magically the price drop but not at the level of other retailers, more than 30 pounds extra. Then the consumer see the high price compared to the samsung announced and other retailers as cheap and buy it.
seriously, clove go fck yourself, hope you don't sell anything.

Mobile City Online: Our Price:$699.99
Clove.co.uk: £495.00/$789.336
Doesn't take into account shipping/local taxes.
Does anyone realise that note has pressure sensitive screen, not capacitive one? Unless they have improved A LOT over the last few years its a big no no for me.

You are wrong. The screen is capacitive and the stylus is capacitive with pressure sensitive too.
We have everything on this phone.

amazone.co.uk got it for 420 euro.
When these hits retail stores, I probably will have to pay around 450 euro, mybe even more (they usualy overprice).
499 @ ditech, austria, vienna on 4.4
i think i will fall to 450 when they are able to supply enough units to satisfy demand. i bought mine despite of the higher price because i fear(ed) that the rumored production halt of the s4 processor in march will cause supply problems for 1-2 month ...

Thats £420, which equals ~510€, it's not 420€
I paid £428 for mine including shipping from Clove. It's not the lowest UK price, but there is not much difference at the moment, and their customer service when I bought my Desire from them in 2010 and in the few days leading up to my purchase was good enough that I decided it was worth giving them my business again.
In Italy costs around 600 euros (insane price :O)
So I'm also looking for cheaper units in Europe
I am wondering what the estimated price will be for this phone in the US with upgrade. I have to start setting aside money for the end of the month.
Today 489 Euros in a retail store, while a lot of mail order retailers are a bit higher still here in Germany.
Just nursing it to an 12h initial charge before starting to play around with it...
So, now that we know the introductory price is going to be $199 w/ a 2 year contract, I'm wondering how often AT&T drops the price after a few weeks? I know they've got the Sony phone coming out and, I think, another flagship phone from Samsung... who thinks somebody could save $50 or more by waiting a few weeks?
Thanks in advance!

It will be more than a few weeks before the device drops in price. 199 is a great price for this beast. Don't wait. You'll end up waiting a while.
Rabble rabble rabble.
If you're trying to buy it on contract, another option for you
would be amazon or walmart. It wouldn't surprise me if amazon
has it for 149.99$ on contract.
a lot of ppl were expecting this phone to be in the 249-299 price range, including myself. 199 is def a low starting pricepoint and I highly doubt its gonna fall with-in the first 4-6 months. there is no competition for it right now...the sony phone is def not competition, and the galaxy s3 is no where to be found as of yet. wait and def. be sorry
I also would say check with amazon, but i wonder if you get a defective unit can you return it to an at&t store or do you have to go thru amazon

You would probably either have to deal with HTC directly (RMA process) or go to an AT&T device center. I have a device center near where I live in the Seattle area, and I got my Captivate swapped out there twice with no delays and no hassle.

Yeah when my cappy crapped on me, I had to send it off to TX somewhere but on a side note they did send me a replacement first.
Personally I would wait. 199$ is cheap. but a few weeks down Costco, Walmart etc. those places dive those prices.. If you shop smart you'll linger around slickdeals or fatwallet and watch these phones drop to 99$ or 150$ quick.
I recall when the skyrocket came out it was what.. 250? My cousin got it for 79$ only 1 month in. It's really up to you
Good info! Thanks guys. I'm totally happy with the $200 price tag, but I won't be as happy if I see it for $150 a few weeks later. Good thinking about trying Costco, Walmart, and Amazon! I doubt I'll be able to wait long to get it - like most I'm pretty excited!
Thanks again!
Billy
I work for the "better" wholesale club...the list or place holder price in the system is 249...but I'm sure it'll drop to 149 with instant coupon. Radio shack has it for 149 pre sale starting on the 22nd.

It's actually surprising low considering the GN is still $299 on VZW and T-Mobile's selling the One S for $199 ($249 pre-rebate). The GN will be $199 on Sprint but you'll have to wait a year for a network to use it on.
For reference, in the UK they sell for:
$649 - One X
$585 - GN
$560 - One S
So at $199 either AT&T, HTC, or both really want to move some phones.

You are comparing unsubsidized UK pricing with AT&T's subsidized price. The One X is free on UK's T-Mobile, with a 2-year contract:
http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/pay-monthly/htc-one-x/
Don't have to wait for a price drop
You actually don't have to wait for a price drop, it already has at Target Mobile and Radioshack. They are offering $50 instant rebate off of all preorders.

The point was to show what the phones are worth based on their retail selling price. The most expensive phone (HOX) is being sold at the lowest subsidized price.

Gotcha. I was a bit confused because you stated subsidized and unsubsidized prices, without indicating which was which. But now I see your point, thanks for clarifying.
I'm asking for advise on where to find the most competitive pricing to buy an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4 (going to be on T-Mobile for bring your own device).
1. I'm currently thinking about Amazon or Amazon wireless (no sales tax for Nevada, US). I'm a bit hesitant because it looks like Amazon itself doesn't sell the cell phone, but their resellers will. Will Samsung still offer their warranty, even if I buy the phone from a reseller on Amazon?
2. Is there any other websites that doesn't have tax for California and/or Nevada for unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4 with competitive prices?
---
On a side note, I'm curious on why the S3 is currently being sold for $669 on Amazon Wireless. The price is a bit steep, no?

Amazon would probably be the best, followed by eBay. You're going to pay a good chunk for it, though, because it's new, and it will be hot, so there will be the whole supply and demand thing to deal with.
You will see the prices of the S3 start to drop the closer to launch of the S4.

Do you know if Samsung will offer their warranty if I purchase the phone through eBay or Amazon resellers?
I maybe the only one here and sound rather spoilt but I was hoping for an gift or accessory for pre-orders like a few of us.
With the S7 it was the GearVR and last year they promoted the AKG earphones with the S8 (ok, they came with all of them). It also came in a lovely big Samsung box.
Even though it hasn't stopped me upgrading I feel they missed a trick here by creating more buzz on pre-orders.
we get a year of bein connect for free but i have a theory. Samsung lowered prices in some countries and priced higher on others, to compensate they offered freebies to less developped countries like mine (Morocco). To me looks like the richer countries are paying for poorer countries well except in the US. The other problem is, just from browsing the s9/s9+ forums i can see that the sales will be much lower, as we had hundredrs of posts on the s8/s8+ fourms during the preorder period vs less than 100 here. So Samsung should give more freebies in few weeks to boost sales
True lads, most countries gettin free wireless chargers etc, dex would be nice to get as a freebie, ahh.. i bet there'll be some freebies like a month after or so
In Saudi Arabia the pre-order is for th 256 GB varient only and the freebies are : (Selfie Stick;Car Charger;AKG wireless Speaker;Wireless Charging Stand)*
yep not happy no freebies on offer in the uk!!!
ok through a carrier we get the AKG y50BT, a 128gb sd card and 1year bein sport for free
Here in Italy S9+ is sold at 999 Eur. A little too much for my taste, They offer a buyback for used phones that in most cases is enough fair. For example S7 Edge is rated 350 Eur, S8+ 450, iphone 6 200 Eur. Sadly being patient and waiting for next months rebates wil be possible to buy the S9+ around 800 Eur and sell These phones for a little less thanwhat Samsung offers with more convenience.

Rightly said. I have pre-booked one by availing card, exchange and EMI discounts. I have opted for 18 months interest free EMI which is fantastic. As mentioned above the freebies only add to the cost of the overall price of the product which I am not that keen.
In Indonesia just get TUMI Case for all preorder S9/S9+
Not only are there no freebies but they had no discount bundles for preorders like they do for the released ones now. Kinda crappy Samsung .
I already have a VR, AKG headphones, and a 256gb EVO card from prior purchases. It'd be nice, but this time I just needed the phone.

In Czech Rep you wont get freebies but you can handle your old phone to get 100€ discount + price of your old phone if it had any value. Think its much better than freebies, which you wont usually use...
