This is for old school guys who like the the old school stock droid launcher back from 2.0 but the sad part you wont get it for your 4.0 and up but now you can get it

Really light and fast, but it's a bit too simple. Why don't you make the app drawer button smaller, and add 2 other icons, like phone and contacts for example? Because right now, it's too difficult to make call without creating a shortcut on the small screen space :crying: .
sorry but no way to use it I have a crash every time I launch it....I tried under JB our ics ....

I see you've changed the name as well, good call. Linux home was kind of misleading.
Another thing I though of, that might improve usability, given the small screen space of the devices this is meant for - Make the drawer go all the way up, and hide the button to close it. Because, as it is now, the button to hide the app drawer, takes roughly a row, that could've been filled with applications from the drawer, reducing the need to scroll down.

I changed the name coz I initially built it for a rom and the rom owner wanted me to change the name and really good suggestion will get it as soon as I fix my broken wrist

Broken wrist... nasty, had that 3 times. At least it heals fast though. :good:
I've been playing around with my old Galaxy 5, trying to figure out how to install recovery on it, no success, and I noticed, that the launcher doesn't really have any options, which isn't a shock given the fact how simple it is. However, given the fact it's performance driven, don't you think that it would be nice to have an option to have the app drawer side-scrollable? This is more of a question, rather than a suggestion, as I am pretty sure there are many people who prefer launchers vertically scrolling. From my point of view however, horizontal is better, because it's more intuitive, given the fact that the homescreens are horizontally scrollable.
As a dev, which one do you think is faster and lighter for the app drawer - vertical or horizontal scrolling? I remember on an old ZTE Blade I used, that when having vertically scrollable app drawer, it used to lag, but when I made it paginated and horizontally scrollable, the lag was gone. I don't know if that was because of the launcher, or because paginated drawer is better, performance wise.

I made horizontal scrolling but it increases memory coz to make them smooth I had to cache them that's y I sticked to vertically scrollable drawer
Moreover I coded it using my phones keyboard SwiftKey 4 coz it allowed me to type with one hand and I was in no mood to type more

may i suggest editing the title to something else than "2.3+" which normally is used as "from 2.3 upwards" (which would include ics and jellybean) to prevent further misunderstandings in the future?
and btw it is no surprise that the android 1.5 stock-launcher won't work on ics or jb...

What shud I do it would run on honeycomb so I had to keep it 2.3±

nice launcher but when i pull up the app drawer some of the icons overlap others then disappear back to normal.could you fix this?

NOTE - The Pro version, ICS+, is now a key! You must install ICS Launcher to continue using it. This new system will prevent many errors from occurring, such as "Duplicate Provider Authority"
FINALLY! Here is the latest and greatest update! Not only is it rebuilt, it is redesigned and based off our not-so-far away launcher called Omega.
The latest build brings tons of new settings and advancements. It also received new scrollers so it should be buttery smooth now and not choppy like it was before. lol

Nice launcher.
When I click the circle app button on the launcher only some of the apps work. Like when I press the music Icon it f.c.'s. Is there a work around this???

Don't worry. honeycomb launcher is still being worked on. we are actually building a tablet version because many tablet manufacturers want it pre installed on there tabs since they can't get real honeycomb due to the devices not being up to standards. lol.

In the running apps: Sms says device not supported, email-gallery-music all force close, and system settings does nothing. When you have the app drawer open and go from portrait to landscape it closes the app drawer and vice versa.

The only think lacking is the electric blue theme. The icons are a little blurry too.
Force closes on launching from "Running Apps". I dislike the font though.
yes, the running apps panel is not done. it is taken out of HCL because I am not sure what the real running apps looks like for Ice cream sandwich. I know the buttons force close for many of you because the package names for all devices are not in there.

You can try the win7 ones. They have circles around icons as well. Might work, although not all may like it.

Till now you can use modded version of touchwiz 3.
P.S. you can also consult spacecacker on xda for the port to ldpi devices.

m just working on Themes for the App.
Soon you gonna have options of multiple themes
It could be a replacement of Quick pics ..keep it up .So far so good.

As per My experience Its far better then Quick Pic
Ill give it a try
This looks really promising but I'm not touching it until the iCrap staus bar garbage is gone and replaced with the Holo themed status bar.
This is Android, not iOS.

Whatever eye candy you put on it, in the end make sure the foot print of this app is minimal in terms of memory usage and battery hogging. Quick pic is what it is cuz of that.

Keeping widgets just in your home screen sort of adds a limit to there functionality.
With this app of mine i aim to put an end to the limit.
Features:
* Place any standard android widget anywhere on the screen while using any app
* Re-size the widgets as per your needs by simply using Scroll Bars
* Drag the widget to any place on the screen
* Control widgets hide or remove widgets from screen
* Minimize App Widgets to a floating object double tapping it brings back the widgets
* Control widgets directly without the need to closing your apps
* Adjust widget transparency using volume keys while widget is in focus
Upcoming Features:
* Advanced config options like changing the icon of the floating point etc.
* Save configuration to reload later with an option to retain state after reboot
Usage Tips:
* Drag widgets from bottom it will prevent accidental clicking of widgets
* Do not over zoom the widget as it will only expand to a limit and the space will be filled by a transparent view(will be fixed)

Alright couple of minor problems:
I think is that the widget starts out too small which makes it tough to resize.
Secondly, the manage widgets button at the top worked fine once then basically did nothing.
Other than those minor issues, fantastic start

Ok so you the widget to be of the orignal size initially right ?

I'll keep that in mind. Other than that, runs amazing. I'm not sure if it's a problem on my end or not but it feels a slow/laggy

Hi all.......I'm thinking about changing my launcher......
I currently use Apex but have used Nova and Go in the past. I never liked stock Touchwiz and am not over fond of Trebuchet.......
I don't want my phone to look like a Windows phone or an iPhone.
I want to be able to use my own images for some of the app icons, and the launcher itself needs to use a minimal amount of the phones resources........
So, anybody have any recommendations?......

Holo Launcher is pretty good. But to be honest there has been a ton of new launchers that I have seen on the play store. It is best just to try them yourself lol.

Try Nova Launcher Prime. you can customized even the menu, you can also use gestures.

Ooopppsss, my bad... Anyway, how about Buzz Launcher and Launcher 8?
I will recommend to use windows 8 launcher as iam using it for more features you can upgrade to pro...!

Thanks again for the suggest, but as I said in the OP, I want to stay away from the windows and apple themed launchers........
For now I think I'll stick with what I've got, but revamp it.......

Nova lite with 'Chrome' theme.....slightly 'tweaked'.....
I decompiled the theme, extracted the button frame and photo shopped some of my own images to replace some of the buttons I didn't like.......

I've created 45 alternative buttons for my phone....didn't know where to stop.....lol
Edit....here's a link to a zip of about 30 of them I created for some familiar apps......

You don't even need to insert them in the theme app......
Just go to your home screen, long press the button you want to change, select 'edit', touch the icon picture and select one of the downloaded buttons from your gallery.......

This is an image of all the icons I produced for my setup......
IMO......they look a lot cleaner than the included icons while still keeping the themed buttons. I also created some buttons for saved browser shortcuts that I have on my home screen......
Totally satisfied with the results....
