Similar issue
I have tried flashing like 5 different modems while on CM 10.0. In the philly area (if that helps). They all seem to work GREAT for like a day or two and then start to go downhill. I know my office doesn't have great reception, but seems like once it looses signal there are a lot of times it won't pick back up until i put it in airplane mode. On I727UCLF6 right now. Also been noticing sometimes it will look like i have signal but no data goes through until i reboot. Tried to dial *#2263# or *#*#4636#*#*, first one got an error (connection problem or invalid MMI code) second one just went to att this number is invalid message. any suggestions welcome thanks!

just so i got this straight

i just picked up a rooted and unlocked skyrocket. now i have been reading a lot of the how to's and other mods for the phone. to clarify though i can run any t989 rom or any i 727 skyrocket rom on the phone? also all i need to do is flash the tmobile radio pack for 3/4 g on tmobile?
i wont do anything until i get confirmation. no need to brick my shiny new white skyrocket lol.
any other tips ideas would be helpful and awesome!!!
I'm pretty sure you should only flash at&t from if you have at&t, and T-Mobile if you have T-Mobile. The carrier settings usually come with the rom, so if you have at&t and flash a T-Mobile you probably won't get any connectivity.
Just my thought, but I'm no dev. Do a search on the forums.

could i use a stock rom or would you suggest something like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1380682
Yeah that's a good kernel. That's probably your best choice for a gingerbread rom...
Ics roms only have 2 kernels. Romracer and mohave

thanks. i ask so much cause i just get so nervous i will have a fancy paper weight. lol
just use. Cwm touch recovery. It is much better then previous versions.
Do a nandroid backup before.
And as long as u stay in the skyrocket and t989 section you'll be fine.
Almost all people brick. Doing thing they shouldn't. Or flashing stuff from a diff device.
The t989 is almost identical to our device

T-Mobile+Skyrocket(stock)= what radio

Ok so i have an AT&T Skyrocket, rooted but other wise stock on t-mobile. The edge speeds are killing after a few days, I can't get another phone at this time and my skyrocket is in perfect shape. The phone is rooted but otherwise stock on GB, of all the threads I searched, none speak about using a stock ROM and kernal with a different radio? I am wary of bricking my phone and had asked for help from some one local but that was a no go. So I am going to try and flash the radio myself, if I can find one that works nicely with stock ROM and kernal?? I have read of people using the Blaze radio and the UVLG3 from a Tmo note, I can't for the life of me find the thread though. But none talk about stock ROM and or kernal, any help would be great
Edit 1: will this radio work on GB? Blaze_4G_LB7_ICS_Radio_MOD ...... Direct DL, CAN BE USED FOR T-MOBILE/WIND ON ICS
Radios are a different piece of firmware and are not affected by ROM or kernel so as long as the radio is compatible and your APN is correct it will work no matter the ROM

so based on what I can try the Blaze radio and just see if it works good for me? Would I be able to do a Direct Download of the radio and just flash from CWM?
Yes any 989 radio should work on our rockets just like our radios just grab a flashable radio and do your thing but again remember APN

S2 i727r for mobilicity help

I have a S2 i727R which is unlocked. Im trying to set it up to use it with mobilicity. its running android version 4.0.4. I also have it rooted. I searched around the forum and I tried using a few radios which I found in seperate threads. I used the t989 KID and VKI radios and I tried the Blaze 4G radio.
The problem is that whenever I flash the radio, my phone does not detect the sim card! It keeps saying Insert sim card. I even tried flashing the stock radio but the problem is still there.
Any help? thanks alothttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37144785&posted=1#
sim might not be all the way in.
also all the radios you flashed are NOT for rogers. For rogers I've had really good reception, call quality and decent data speed with ucll3.

I don't know if they'll work or not I'm just letting you know they're for a different carrier.
There is a radio thread (it's old and I don't remember what's in there) in the dev section. There are also new radios scattered in the dev section.

ohh and ive looked in vincoms thread. Tried most of the radios there. When I had the stock radio, with my mobilicity sim i could detect other networks. but after i flashed the t989 radio, it kept saying no sim card.

Connection problems with SUPERLITE CM10 JB4.1.2 RoM

I recently flashed to Vincom's SUPERLITE CM10 JB4.1.2 RoM | V8.0.
Ive gotten things up and running pretty well, but there is one major issue I seem to be having. My phone is not consistently able to connect to data on AT&T. I am frequently losing my data connections in locations where I have always had them in the past.
I searched around on his developer thread but didnt see an answer. I saw a reference to APNs for AT&T, but his note says these should now be included in the ROM I flashed, so Im not sure if I am missing something.
Anyone know if this is a common problem or how I can troubleshoot it and get up and running again?
Thanks.
Haven't heard of this being a problem. What modem (baseband) are you on? You can find it in settins, about phone.
Also, in settings wireless, more, mobile networks, Check that the access point name is on att LTE

Its gotten worse. Ive spent the last 5 hours with almost zero data access.
I see baseband version i727UCLI3.
Access Point name was was set to ATT wap, cingular. I switched it to ATT LTE (pta)...should this fix it? Any idea why this would have happened? Will I need to keep checking this or was it just something from the ROM flash?

reflashing radio is the simplest things todo on our phones, no harm will come of it and sometimes beneficial as cwm/twrp wiping and flashing roms dont touch that parition

Dialer problems with all 4.2.2 ROMS

I've been having an issue with all 4.2.2 roms where if I either make a phone call or receive one my screen will go off, and none of the buttons will work during the phone call. I cant even hang up. I would have to wait for the other person to hang before I can use my phone again. I've tried 3 different 4.2.2 rom and I have the same same problem with all of them. With 4.1.2 I don't have those issues. I used the stock JB radio and kernel. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced.
