Hello Guys at xda
i am a beginner at Roms and need your help
I was browsing forums here and just found this one... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2103783&page=15
(Its MIUI Jellybean HTC Explorer BUILD #3 aka MIUI v4.1 3.1.11 Build 3)
I read the whole forum to gain knowledge abut the rom, many questions were cleared but there are still so plz anyone help me
Firstly, i am just moving from my rooted stock to this one ...but a question stucked in my mind, am i missing something like some kernel things??
do i need some change in my phone before flashing this ? ( question came as it is based on Ngoralph's MiniCM10 which needs nAa-jb kernel and i don't know what that is.
Secondly about a lock screen bug, do i need to disable that on my very first boot ? as it doesn't work.
Please answer me ASAP :good:
The kernel is included in the Rom...
I'm the same ROM u can change to some other MIUI lockscreen.

Hello !
I searched on Google and I didn't find anything concluent so I came to XDA to ask you this.
I downloaded the HTC Sensation kitchen to cook roms. Before I read all the tutorials about it, I just want to know if it is safe to atypical AOSP roms based on Cyanogen with framereswork.apk from Samsung or LG roms.
It may sound silly but I want to make new roms with new UIs because I don't really like the Sense UI , never did...
So what do you think about that ?
EDIT: My principal fear is to brick my sensation... but I can always revert this no ? Via Fastboot USB or some other software no ? ( Like what i did when i bricked my old X10 )
You won't brick it by swapping the framework-res.apk if you do. It might just not boot up.
Okay so I'd still be able to boot into bootloader and recovery and restore my last working rom ?
In fact I would like to know if it's possible to use another framework-res.apk with every AOSP ROM like Cyanogenmod or Virtuous Quattro ( cuz I'm pretty sure My sensation won't boot if I put a Touchwizz based framework-res.apk into a Sense Rom but I don't know if it would work in AOSP Roms ).
Voila ! thanks for your help.
Hello,
please someone reupload roms by "[ROM] Custom Rom For Cha Cha - GB" ? . --- Thread By: didije
Many thanks !!
It is temporary. I don't know why dropbox is disabling my links from time to time. They should be back in a day or two. This is the 3rd time they are doing this..
CronMod
I have a question.
Works your ROM with CronMod-ROM INT2EXT? The CM9 is functional, but CM is not right for me. I tried to modify the stock rom with root and with init.d support - there does not work and I do not know why.
Sorry, no. Only dta2sd. I was planning to try and make it work but I sold my phone due to some hardware issues.
Hi guys!
Here is the story:
I broke the screen of my actual phone (Motorola RAZR HD (xt925)) so I'm using my father's old phone (HTC Explorer (pico)), I wasn't happy with the stock ROM so I decided to unlock the bootloader, install a custom recovery and I started to test ROMS (CM's based because I like them since the first versions 4.x on my old HTC G1 R.I.P. ), I found MiniCM10 the fastest, smoothest and stable for this device. I decided to mod it a bit (some build.prop tweaks, some init.d tweaks, deleted some apps, a bit KK themed, etc.) and I want to share it.
My question is:
Should I post it on Android Development or some other place? I ask this because 1.- isn't built from sources and 2.- I wont be able to bring support because this is just a temporary phone for me.
Thanks in advance.

I think you can make a thread in development not Original development but read rules of posting before posting

@superdragonpt.
Are you planing to release new version of MIUI. I hope so.
Thanks for yours hard work! Keep going! Comunity needs you
@superdragonpt are you planing to make a release new version of this rom?
I installed custom kernel v1.4 for miui and phone start to react strange. From time to time when I was trying to unlock phone display wake up and then got blank again. After serveral tries phone has woke up. This was happening quite offten.
I really love this rom. Can you put some effort for it. Thanks !
Maybe miui v5 will be good idea
I won't make or port no more JB ROMs..
Now that KitKat ROM is stable, there's no reason to continuing working on an old and deprecated OS like jellybean.
About kernel, I had explained that issue several times, go back to kernel miui v1.3.
V1.4 is incompatible with some hardware revisions.
Regards

I understand the reason why you don't want to continue with this rom.
For kernel 1.4 it's working fine in bruno mod 1.3 I'm using yours custom kernel since begining but with other roms. My gf got Redmi 1S and I really like it and I wanted to try it on my V970 I was working fine but without custom kernel.
Ideally it will be great to have MIUI v5 based on KitKat. Do you think that this is possible ?
I'm keeping my finger crossed to have this.
Thanks for yours hard work SuperDragon !!! you are really rocking outs v970
Can't find donwload section

Any help would be aprecciated.

Can i use this custom ROM in my MTV volt 1000 ?

Hello,
I am new to this site, and new to this thing, but I am interested to update my HTC one V with some custom ROM (jellybean or higher) and I wanna know some info about which one is the most stable and popular one, with no bugs or trivial bugs.. It is frustrating because they are plenty of ROMs and kernels here.. and what is the difference between AOSP and AOKP version? somewhere I read that aokp is less stable but better... I actually want features included RAM and CPU clocking, because this is the coolest thing in these custom ROMs.. :cyclops:
- I have HTC one V (GSM) rooted and bootloader unlocked
- I have CWM recovery 6.0.3.3 installed
- I have official android v4.0.3
so which ROM you guys prefer to me and which kernel that goes along? and is my CWM version ok or I need other one?.. I really want to get more of this phone than I am getting now.. it's a really nice phone but it's a bit lazy when operating tasks, so it's not for impatient users
I am new to this, but I somehow succeeded to root my V, thanks for detailed instructions on this site, so thanks to you guys ..now I just have to update my ROM, and I will be more than happy
