[APP][2.3+] AVP Calculator [v1.3][23/10/12]

AVP Calculator
There are a lot of calculators out there in Google Play. All of them perform arithmetic functions to give you the desired result.
My app is different. Suppose you want to calculate the area or volume of a figure, you know the given values, but you don't remember the formulae to find it. AVP Calculator is the solution to that problem. Loaded with 7 2D figures and 5 3D figures (and their types), this app helps you to calculate area and perimeter of 2D figures, and volume and surface area of 3D figures. AVP = A(rea)+V(olume)+P(erimeter).
The 2D figures include:
+Square
+Rectangle
+Circle
+Parallelogram
+Rhombus
+Triangle (with types)
+Trapezium
The 3D figures include:
+Cone
+Cuboid
+Cylinder (with types)
+Cube
+Sphere
Hope you like the app.
Thanks to QuantumFoam, who helped me bypass any obstruction I came across while building this app.
Screenshots and apk file in attachment. Thanks to tjsgy for providing me with the SS of v1.2, when my phone wasn't working.
CHANGELOG :-
v1.0.1
- Added Decimal support (probably a lame update)
- Fixed some calculation errors and bugs
v1.1
- Added background images for other screens
- Added two more options in menu
+ An Exit button
+ A link to the XDA thread
v1.2
- Added a different background image for some screens
- Added images of the figures for better understanding
- Added a different app icon
v1.2.1
- Minor bug fix of old icon being shown instead of new one.
v1.3
- Added support for "Regular Polygon"
Please uninstall the app first and then install the updated one, just to make sure that all changes are visible.
Thanks for your app, but :

It's an interesting app, and I definitely see a lot of potential. But it needs some work. I'm for example, you should be able to add decimals and/or special keys (like pi).

Appreciate it man. About the updates, i don't think there's any left except that i might think about adding images of yhe figures for better understanding, and i may add the figures included in regular polygons.

I expected that there is a calculator UI with the button keys like '[Squared]', '[Cubed]'.

This is specifically for area, volume and perimeter of certain figures. So that UI's not there.

Root app market

Idk if this is the right place, but they should make a market for purely root apps, anyone agree?

I totally agree they should make a root market

Whom do you want to make it?
You could simply do a Google search or search here on the forum for "root apps". If you do it on google, there are many articles about that.!

Keyboard backup

Any keyboard app close to stock with swipe features that you can backup the dictionary?
Getting tired of re-saving words one by one every time I change ROM
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
It may not be that close to the stock keyboard, but the new Swiftkey4 (Playstore) just added a swype feature. It's also on sale right now.
Another possibility might be Keymonk (Playstore), although it has limited dictionaries for different languages. I think this one has a lot of potential, but I'm still waiting for support for my language.

You may use an external app to backup the dictionary, like Titanium Backup (if you have rooted your phone) or Carbon.

+1 Just back up your keyboard data using TiBu before flashing a new ROM. That will do the trick.
As said above, SwiftKey4! Amazing. With TiBu.

The app is limited to jellybean for now I I'll try in my next release to add support for another free app and add 4.0 ICS support
Nice app love the icon and works great, just wish I could pin other apps to it without paying but still a nice way to get to Google now you should add in a multi window (or halo compatibility) would be a nice touch

Hey glad you like it the Beta 2 is up, which allows google play store as well, may add one more free app through popular demand. pro version will focus on true customisation. by the first final release i will know exactly what level of stuff will be in free/pro. Halo support ill add for future features - what exactly do you need in terms of integrationf with halo? are you saying that if you use the gesture to launch google now in the halo window so its floating? that sounds logical

BETA 2 has been released (give it a few hours to get on the play store) ive added ICS support but havnt build a device to test it properly. let me know how it goes if you get a chance. it will not have google now (just yet) as ICS does not support google now natively. i know some people use mods to get it on there. ill add stuff for the modders later
