[Q] sensation xe hangs once in awhile help - HTC Sensation

Hello,
My phone hangs once in awhile especially when its left in my pocket for a longer period. When someone called me, the screen lit up and you can't unlock it (the screen is unresponsive) then I have to press the power button which disconnect the caller. Anyone of you experience this?
My phone is Sensation XE with beats audio z715e andriod ver 4.0.3 software ver 3.33.707.151. Thanks for any help..

Could it be ROM related, did you try to change it?

so I guess your phone is stock? if it is your options regarding the ROM are limited to factory reset. If it's a screen issue you can check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239238

ye it suprised me aswell. It does explain the fact that the screen can be less responsive if the phone is on a table, so when you're not holding it.

THen it's probably a hardware issue. Can't assume everything is software!
Sounds like the digitizer.

Did you change your battery ay some point to something like anchor battery? There was an article that explained of this potential problem with after market batteries. There us a ground pin on the back of the phone and the slightly larger batteries can knock them loose.

A single question mark. That's it. No other punctuation. I'd love to help, but I have no clue how to break this one down. Longest sentence I've seen in a while.

same lmao, I also took a look cause I wouldn't mind helping but damn. I don't understand a thing.
First of all, what's your issue? "screen issue" is quite vague and apparently, your only problem is the carousel?
Then you mention screen sensitivity, so what's your problem exactly?
I'm just trying to help. I really don't think many other members will understand what you're trying to ask.. You need to elaborate

Black screen

Hi everybody! My HTC Sensation isnt working since a couple of days. I was listening to music, when i unlocked the phone, the screen became strange. A few seconds after, I heard a strange noise and the screen went totally black. I removed battery and rebooted. The phone can boot, it vibrates and the button backlight is on, but the screen is totally black. The first time i plugged the battery(before boot) in i could see a light in the bottom-left corner. Also, the first time i rebooted, i could BARELY see the logo because i was in the dark. But now there's absolutely nothing
The phone is S-OFF, rooted and the ROM is AOKP Jelly Bean
Do you think its repairable? is it hardware or software issue? Thanks for an answer
PS: i havent got a warranty
Sorry for the language i'm french
Try removing both sim and sdcard. Than put the phone to a full night charging and try again.
A faulty sim/sd could make a mess...

At this point I would flash an RUU.
If stock hboot, recovery, rom, without sim and sdcard doesn't do the trick, it's very likely a hardware problem.

Flashed an RUU. Vibrating, Sound. But the black screen's still there
Is it dead?

Ugh!
Seems like a hardware issue...
I'm no expert with HW on the sensation, so I can't pinpoint the issue... Might be anything from a screen connector, to the GPU itself..
I handled badly shaped sensations, but it always ended up being some sort of a software or firmware or rom issue.. so I'm only guessing here.
I would recommend consulting with a technician, or at least someone with more expertise.
Sorry I can help no more..
Good luck!

I rebooted the phone and went to the recovery, and I still having that same problem in the 4Ext Recovery! it was selecting the options just like when i'm on the rom! so I guess this is not a Rom issue..

Hi,
No, it's not.
Use your phone all the way until it shuts down. Then remove the battery and the SIM and let it be so over a night; Afterwards, plug your phone in and let it recharge fully, but BEWARE YOU WILL NOT TOUCH THE SCREEN AT ALL IN WHOLE THIS PROCESS!.
Then come and inform us about the result.

This is exactly the same issue as mine, but it went all good after that I did what I told U.
So I think it's a hardware issue buddy...

AW: [Q] Sensation acting weirdly! help please!
I once had something similar cause of one app going crazy.
Did you try to boot in safe mode. And see how the system behaves?
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
I've tried many many things, I booted into 4ext recovery, the screen was acting the same, just like someone is touching the screen randomly, last night I've formatted everything and installed a stock rom using an RUU.... (RUU-Pyramid-ICS-hTC-Europe-3.33.401.53-Radio-11.76A.3504.00U-11.24A.3504.31-M-release-280871-signed.exe) and the system still acting exactly the same way... I'm wondering if there's some humidity between the gorilla glass and the LCD screen... I've put the phone face down to my PC's cooler fan during the whole night... nothing changed.. now the screen is under the sun.. maybe that could solve this stupid issue...
If you think there is some humidity in the phone. best to dry is to use normal dry cooking rice.
Take a big plastik box, put the rice in. lay the phone on the rice and close the box. leave it at least 12 hours.
The rice will get all water out.
If you like you can warm the rice before you put the phone on by 15 sec. in the microwave, so just to get the rice a bit warm about 40°C
For safe Mode of the sensation look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1593350
After more than 12 hours in the rice, the phone is still acting the same! I just want to take a hammer and smash it down...

[Q] call screen problem

Hey guys
I have a problem with my HTC sensation. Whenever someone calls me and I press green answer button but the screen says "incoming call" but I'm not able to pick it up and then the call ends.
I've contacted HTC but they're asking me to update my phone which is already updated with ics version 4.0.3
I've hard resetted my phone a lot of times but this trick seems to work for just one day.
I've heard someone saying to change the call screen by installing iphone lock screen app but its not the answer to this.
This phone is non rooted and is in its factory setting. Didn't messed with bootloader.
