I rebooted the phone and went to the recovery, and I still having that same problem in the 4Ext Recovery! it was selecting the options just like when i'm on the rom! so I guess this is not a Rom issue..

Hi,
No, it's not.
Use your phone all the way until it shuts down. Then remove the battery and the SIM and let it be so over a night; Afterwards, plug your phone in and let it recharge fully, but BEWARE YOU WILL NOT TOUCH THE SCREEN AT ALL IN WHOLE THIS PROCESS!.
Then come and inform us about the result.

This is exactly the same issue as mine, but it went all good after that I did what I told U.

I have the same problem with my Sensation Xe.
AW: [Q] Sensation acting weirdly! help please!
I once had something similar cause of one app going crazy.
Did you try to boot in safe mode. And see how the system behaves?
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
I've tried many many things, I booted into 4ext recovery, the screen was acting the same, just like someone is touching the screen randomly, last night I've formatted everything and installed a stock rom using an RUU.... (RUU-Pyramid-ICS-hTC-Europe-3.33.401.53-Radio-11.76A.3504.00U-11.24A.3504.31-M-release-280871-signed.exe) and the system still acting exactly the same way... I'm wondering if there's some humidity between the gorilla glass and the LCD screen... I've put the phone face down to my PC's cooler fan during the whole night... nothing changed.. now the screen is under the sun.. maybe that could solve this stupid issue...
If you think there is some humidity in the phone. best to dry is to use normal dry cooking rice.
Take a big plastik box, put the rice in. lay the phone on the rice and close the box. leave it at least 12 hours.
The rice will get all water out.
If you like you can warm the rice before you put the phone on by 15 sec. in the microwave, so just to get the rice a bit warm about 40°C
For safe Mode of the sensation look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1593350
After more than 12 hours in the rice, the phone is still acting the same! I just want to take a hammer and smash it down...

Hi all,
If you need to reset your sensation just hold vol+, vol- and power together and keep them held until the phone reboots - usually a couple of seconds.
Much easier than pulling the back off and removing the battery.
Mod - please add to the stickies.

Indeed working fine, tested and restarted the phone about 5s after i pressed the buttons.
This doesnt always work, but will most of the time. Last night I had to pull the battery since this method wasnt working. Its worth a try before doing a battery pull though.

Another method is to just use ADB commands to reboot or reboot into recovery. IE: adb reboot or adb reboot recovery.
I had to do this when recovery stops responding.
Ummm... By the time you have counted to 5 and hoping the phone resets, you could have clicked back off, pulled batt and clicked cover back on.
If you are quick
Just tried it - works pretty well. Thanks for the tip.
If you look in this section, there are people losing their volume rockers or disturbing the connections between battery cover and body by repeatedly removing and refitting the battery cover.
This way, there's no risk to the phone.
Plus, you can reset the phone easily if it's inside a case.
You're welcome to keep pulling the back off though if it makes you happy.

Do you have a Sensation? Did you see how the cover looks? Don't you think that removing it frequently will cause damage?
Oh yeah, and removing it is really "fast" and "convenient" if you use a gel case.

Wow take a chill pill mate! Only having a joke!
Yes I do have a Sensation. It has a lovely screen protector on it, it is rooted / running ARHD and it has one of them clicky leather pouches that you get for £2.50 off Donington Market. More to the point, I have been repairing Steve Jobs equipment for erm... Years now!
Low post count doesn`t imply that the person is a muppet! Indeed, you could learn a thing or two my friend in Bucharest...
Some phones are not designed to be hard resetted in the way the OP describes, but yes it is an excellent tip.
My post doesn't mention any other phones and is only posted in this section, so I'm only talking about the Sensation. I haven't tried this on any other device so I can't say if it works on any other phone.
All I said is it's an easier way of performing a hard reset on a HTC Sensation or HTC Sensation XE without removing any parts.
I'm no expert, I'm just sharing a tip I found. Use it, don't use it, it's absolutely fine by me whatever anyone chooses to do.
Chill, people.

Maybe you should read the troubleshooting section ?!?
Theres smth written like: If your phone wont turn on take out the battery , put it back in and charge it for 4-5 hours.
Juopunutbear isn't evil, its the only way to s-off our phones with hboot 1.2X.

It's not bricked.. It sucked the internal power for now from the phone and went to deep sleep state.. Happens when you do too much of wire tricks fails..
The solution is remove battety, sim and sdcard... Then charge the phone overnight or at least 6-7 hours.. That will bring back phone to life

Thanks for the answer! It sounds right because I've been trying the wire trick for about 20 times or so..... Has this happened to you before?
Yeah that should work because that happened to me when I was trying to s-off my sensation. I just took the battery and everything or then charged it overnight then when I woke up turned it on, as good as new! I then tried the wire truck again and got it first time.

Hi everybody! My HTC Sensation isnt working since a couple of days. I was listening to music, when i unlocked the phone, the screen became strange. A few seconds after, I heard a strange noise and the screen went totally black. I removed battery and rebooted. The phone can boot, it vibrates and the button backlight is on, but the screen is totally black. The first time i plugged the battery(before boot) in i could see a light in the bottom-left corner. Also, the first time i rebooted, i could BARELY see the logo because i was in the dark. But now there's absolutely nothing
The phone is S-OFF, rooted and the ROM is AOKP Jelly Bean
Do you think its repairable? is it hardware or software issue? Thanks for an answer
PS: i havent got a warranty
Sorry for the language i'm french
Try removing both sim and sdcard. Than put the phone to a full night charging and try again.
A faulty sim/sd could make a mess...

At this point I would flash an RUU.
If stock hboot, recovery, rom, without sim and sdcard doesn't do the trick, it's very likely a hardware problem.

Ugh!
Seems like a hardware issue...
I'm no expert with HW on the sensation, so I can't pinpoint the issue... Might be anything from a screen connector, to the GPU itself..
I handled badly shaped sensations, but it always ended up being some sort of a software or firmware or rom issue.. so I'm only guessing here.
I would recommend consulting with a technician, or at least someone with more expertise.
Sorry I can help no more..
Good luck!

What ROM? What Kernel?
Flash a popular ROM and use its proper kernel then use your phone til it gets shut down, then pull your battery out and let the phone stay still over a night. Tgen recharge it WITHOUT TOUCHING THE SCREEN all the way!
Don't OC more than 1782mhz so that the cpu won't overheat, or enable thermal script.
