I have been trying to find an answer for this too. I have had no luck after trying a few different things.
Do you know any roms that you can watch google play on? I hear liquid you can, but have not checked.

Re: [Q] Google play movies on CR 6 R
I flashed liquid last night, only watched about 30 seconds of justified. Going to mess with this some more tonight.

[Q] Can you play this flash video? Desire can't.

Hello guys,
Desire/Nexus1 doesn't support playing flash movies from this popular site:
http://tv.winelibrary.com/
Could anyone with Droid2 try to play it and see if it goes for more than first 30-40 seconds?
I've wrote a thread about this problem and opened a case @ Adobe
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?p=9781112
Thank you.
Tried it on my droid X, droid 2 Global, and Nexus one. All play the videos fine... Granted, my Nexus isn't stock, but it should work fine for you anyway. Is this the only site that gives you issues?
Are you sure that you leave video to play for at least a minute or a bit more? In the xda thread I posted there are more info about a problem. Yes, this is only site that is giving me problems.
I let it play for about 2 minutes, it ran just fine.

Load takes a while. Running 3g on Verizon. But it works fine.

Thanks guys, it seems to be some strange bug only happening on Desire with any ROM (Sense, 2.2.1, 2.3.1).

Google Play Movies

I am trying to watch my movies on my Rooted Xoom with CM10. I read that the app now allows streaming for rooted devices. This isn't the case for me. That doesn't work at all and I have reinstalled the app and rebooted numerous times. So here is what I am asking. First off is there anyway to get a real full functioning Google play movies app for my Xoom, if not how can I get the streaming to work?

I know that xoom users are using a modified gapps, I made a symlinked gapps for systems with small system partitions. I posted in the general area, but haven't got any feedback. I figured it was because you guys are used to using the xoom gapps. This is the complete gapps package, with everything included. We are still in alpha with CM10 since we got stuck at froyo, so only me and a few other devs have really used it. Our CM10 is not fully functional so I can't test everything, but everything I could test did work. Hope this might help.

I'm not exactly sure how this would help, but I am not a developer like you lol, I'm trying it now. Will respond back in a bit.

No that didn't work.

Google Movies & TV App

Anyone else having issues trying to play a movie in the Google Movies & TV App?
Works fine on my Galaxy S3, Nexus 7, but cannot play anything on my Stock Tab 2 10.1
I submitted the issue to Google and supposedly they're looking into it, but I wanted to see if anyone else has this issue or knows anything about it
thanks!
Do you have a custom rom, or just the stock rom, because sometimes crashed with customs roms

Google Play Movies

Does anyone know how I can get my rooted gs3 to stream or play my downloaded Play TV shows on my phone?
Any ROMS that will work?
I am currently on Clean ROM and it doesn't work.
Thanks
Are you trying to stream from phone to ps3 or ps3 to phone? If its phone to ps3 then get this app... http://db.tt/Vd3t7QaO It's called twonky. It use to be in the store but now its gone. Hope this helps.

I'm trying to get it to play on my phone.
Since I am rooted the movie will not play.
Looking for a work around.
I'm rooted and my stuff plays. Are you on a TW Rom? Or an AOSP Rom?
Edit: never mind. It plays all of ten seconds before it hangs.

Try the Voodoo OTA RootKeeper, it allows you to turn root on and off, I use it for the Redbox Instant Beta and it allowed me to stream movies.

Sounded great, but didn't work.
I couldn't even play a copy of the file. Still got hung up after ten seconds as usual.

Anyone else with Google music issues?

On top of the new update which doesn't detect on device music, does anyone else have constant issues on any version with streaming skipping around and clutching up?

Use a build prop editor to make sure lpa.decode is set to false for streaming problems

I had some issues for about 3 hours the other day with streaming music. It would skip and freeze. But, I haven't had any issues since.
Like 90% of the time my locally stored music just disappears from play music. Works fine on other players though.

It's been working the best it ever has on my end, apart from the build prop tweak. But that's not from Google music, that's Rom specific.

It stores the music in android/secure, so when flashing anew rom and wiping, it erases all of it. Made me mad the first time I did it because I had downloaded about 5 gb, and I re flashed anew rom a couple days later and it was all gone.

Thanks, but I was actually talking about my non-play music. Stuff I put on there myself. After clearing the app's data it all shows back up but after downloading any play music or adding more songs to the library and then rebooting, it disappears again. In the end I found it's best and easiest to just re-tag and move any downloaded play store music and use apollo or the htc music app.
