Maybe I don't fully understand your needs but surely almost every phone on the planet has a built in answering system linked with their provider.

No. The operators provide only voice mail options.
A good auto answering software / appn, I doubt, is available.

I need an app which will automatically reject all calls . . Actually the problem is phone is not allowed in my office .. So i want an app that will reject calls with an sms saying that i am in office i will call u back

Try Qtext. It does exactly what you want.
I like Tasker. Not only will it do what you want but also lots of other things you would wnt to automate. It takes a little bit of patience to learn but stick with it because it is worth it.
Do you mean tasker by crafty? Currently I am currently using smart receiver and it works exactly what I need.

I would go with with QText ($2.99) or Tasker ($6.49).
There are trials of both.
Hey Muffin, I haven't tried tasker but I did tried trial version of qtext.. But I can say it's very bad and it force closes on my Samsung s2

I live in a sh*thole of a country and i dont want to see apps from local developers recommended to me on every page. How to turn that off in the new google play app?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium HD app
Seconded! (Though it was always there already, just significantly less.)
Out of all developers here, anyone?

Same problem. Living in a third world country makes Google Play suggest the worst apps you can imagine, just seeing the icons in my phone is a torture.

That is SOOO TRUE about the icons!!
Cmon from all the renowned developers here, anyone??

1, 2, 3, i fourth that!
But i don't really think there's a way!
Probably we should ask google to include an option to disable suggestions.
Well I have already tried but nothing happen! So kinda useless!

Yeah if there only was an option to even change the market's country. Example trick it into thinking I'm in NY (<3)

Only way to do it now is to use a VPN. This will fool the play store into thinking you are in another country.

Tried disabled location services.
Cleared data and cache in playstore.
Even after that it still find outs my location.
One more thing we can try is use wifi only & put the network radios in off state.

Is there a messaging app the would give a real time alert (stated "typing") when in text conversation to notify you that the other person is responding to your message. Any help or thought and ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Yeah but that's an app where both parties need to have that installed where I am looking for more of an sms app. How does that app even work and forgive my silly questions
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Hmm, idk if the facebook messenger app does that, u can use it to text people and both parties don't need it
Sent from my SCH-1535 using Tapatalk 4
I use whatsapp and it does that. Possibly one of the best messaging apps there is. Both parties need it, and it is a dollar, but you can use wifi and it is rock solid stable. One of the best purchases I've made in the play store.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
yeah you are only going to get that functionality when both parties are using the same app. And it would have to be a messenger/chat type app not a strictly sms/mms type app
Come on guys, aren't you all annoyed of the xda app? I mean, it is the only app which crashes at every two taps, atleast on my phone.
"Unfortunately XDA has stopped working!!!!!"has really become a common thing now.According to me, a community of developers or people ceasing to be developers should have an app that sets benchmarks in the forum app category! It should be an app that has the most of everything. Let us keep this thread moving!
WAKE UP GUYS! :good:

+1 for this request, but do you want to achieve with THIS thread?
I guess, it should be better to contact the developer directly

The app is already there. It's called Tapatalk, and it's free in the market. The XDA-app is based on a very very old version of tapatalk. The one in the market is much newer and much better with much more functionality.
+1..mee too...and should also add a feature of upload apk directly..

But seriously, this app hasn't been updated since jellybean came out. That corresponds to almost 2 years. The ui is boring, its just so flat. Navigating through posts is bane. Tapatalk is fine but a native app has its own pros.
Its the developers' community after all!
We should be having the best possible forum app!

That's a point. With Tapatalk I only can subscribe or unsubscribe, but if I subscribe to a certain topic, I can't choose how often I get notifications e.g. instant, daily or weekly.
In the xda app I had the choice ...
