Serendipidy7 to infuse 1.6?

I installed the infuse 2 first, then serendipity next. I think the gingerbread roms don't have good wifi or 4g data transfer. My stock rom could get 20mbs on my wifi, these gingerbread rooms only get like 6.
Will the infuse 1.6 get stock performance? And do I have to change the kernel back? I remember installing a new kernel before the infuse
2.0 rom. Also, is there any reason I cannot just install infuse1.6 with rom manager?

So I installed the MIUI ROM just to try it out, the wifi is back up to speed, hitting 20mbps on download. the over the air connection I cannot test for some reason. The Web seems snappy, but the speed test won't find the closest server Anne gets stuck

Don't know if this will help, but try flashing another modem.

I'll be watching this. Can't wait to see when everything works.
Can't wait to go home and brick my phone over this, haha. (I haven't been able to flash a ROM since liquid bricked it the first time.)
Just flash EncounterICS for the DROID x. It actually works with everything but camera.

Using the Infuse on stock ROM. Do not want to install Custom ROM. Queries

I have just bought an Infuse from ebay (not received yet) and this is for my younger brother. I am just evaluating whether i need to install a custom ROM and give him the phone or just give him on stock ROM. I will be unlocking and rooting the phone as need to use with an Indian mobile service.
My brother is not a power user and do not care anything about over clocking etc etc. He has no knowledge of ROM installation or anything.
Also we would want the USB to HDMI adapter thing to work with the phone.
Are there any known issues with stock froyo which hamper the day to day use of the phone ?
Does the MHL adapter work on custom ROMs (which are based on leaked GB) ??
Can i remove the AT&T bloatware after rooting the phone ?
Any other information that you would like to give me ?
I personally had huge issues with battery life and performance before flashing a custom ROM (that one being CM7), but if you can work with/around that, you should be fine.
Bloat can be removed after rooting, I did it with titanium backup. I believe the stock leaks do have working hdmi but I don't know of any custom roms that have working hdmi righ tnow.
Battery life sucks on froyo. Look into flashing a stock gingerbread leak using odin. The KL2 leak is the best. If he is not into doing too much to his phone this is the way to go.

+1 Battery Time is terrible on Stock Rom - I hope AT&T release Gingerbread soon ( I was hoping that it would be released by now but now i have lost hope and i think AT&T might just skip this phone for upgrade ).
Ok so is the Gingerbread leak for this phone bug free ? (not the derived custom GB ROMs).
Also i would appreciate a link to the most stable official GB leak for the Infuse.
And does the HDMI work well on it ?
Hers the link.

Yes it's stable. As long as you use the stock kernel, hdmi works. Also read through this link first.

3G dongle in tf101 how ?

I want to use a 3g dongle in a rooted tf101 with stock ics , where can i find 3g libs/driver ? How to activate mobile network ? I read about on custom roms you can use a 3g dongle ... but i want to used on stock ics ... on 3.2.1 worked with the help of gnufabio & roach2010 app.
Thank you.

I'm not sure that it's been dev'd for stock ICS, you may have to go with a stock based ROM like ARHD or Revolver. The dongle will work though, with proper drivers.
ok the point is that i want to use 3g dongle but without loose may data , to wipe/clear before use a custom rom, i could write it over current stock but is risky for loosing data and FC ... and a backup don't satisfy my needs for the moment.
i'm open to new suggestions.
thanks

Windows driver for ICS USB Tethering

Does anyone know if there is a specific driver required for tethering with ICS? I can tether with usb on GB just fine, but my computer/phone wigs out when I try to tether when running on ICS. My captivate works just fine when tethering on ICS.
I've tried all of the ICS roms available (minus MIUI) and haven't had any luck with any of them.
you shouldnt need any drivers on windows for tethering whether or not you are in gb or ics. it should just show up as an ndis device. i havent used usb tethering in ics yet. what rom are you on?
