You can use any tools like PERI. PERI uses ADB (Android Debugging) via USB.
With the TF101G, it is SBKv3 which is unknown so EasyFlasher does not work like it does on your TF101 B50 in APX mode.
Use my PERI tool as fred suggested above ^^
Plug in, enable adb, root. Pretty simple c:

I have root my tablet & install recovery with Razorclaw & install revolver rom, but now i want to back on stock tablet.
I befor install root & install rom i have backup my tablet with brk.root.toolkit 7.1 but when i try to restore backup. nvflash said "Device not found".
Check apx mod ok, check driver install ok.
My tablet is a B50XXXX
I try a simple nvflash --sync, the first give me Usb write failde and after Device not found
Can you help me please ?

Get into APX mode then connect to computer. You will then open device manager and update drivers through there. I hope this helps!

On my G Tablet, I had hold down both volume up and down together tp get into APX mode
Hey ppl today i got my eee Transformer Pad BUT !! Now I was checking if I was able to root that thing... I only find on the internet ppl with a serial number that begins with B70/B80 or whatever kind of number, I have BB0 ... and I'm sure its a 2nd B instead of a 8 :S Anyone knows how to root my tablet ? Since the RazorClaw app doesn't work since I'm on Build Number HTK75.WW_epad-8.6.5.13-20110925.
If someone can help me I would appriciate it
Keep the tablet connected to the internet and you should be prompted to get the update. Took mine about 24 hours. Then I used Razorclaw and was extremely surprised at how simple it was to root...then used the other apk to install ClockWork recovery.
So, I guess until you get the update (or do it manually), play and get to know your new tab...as I did.

Not for B70+ TF (some early B70 are root able with other method)
ah thats a shame zo the only thing I can do is waiting for the update pop? Or can i install the update through a other way?

Best way: Update to 8.6.5.19 -specifically- and use Razorclaw.
Anything above .19 and you get stuck, unless your B70 supports the APX mode access ... which frankly I'd test anyway if you haven't already just to be sure if you'll have a failsafe option.

Is this possible? I don't recall there being working dlpkgfiles to get to that update available her for the US version of the tablet.

Hi i was wondering whether the Vipermod root tool works with the TF101 on ICS. I got the update today but OTA Rootkeeper did not work for me and so i lost root access, along with the ability to restore my backups.
Or try mempodroid, used on ICS on prime TF.
Don´t know if it still works.

I wasn't able to get ViperMod to work on my TF101. Did you do anything special? I enabled USB debugging on the TF101, but when I run the script, it fails to push superuser and su.
I downloaded the latest version of Vipermod and the first option is the one that i used; it's for ICS build 9.xxxxxx.11. I used that option after enabling usb debugging and it rooted it fine. Other users have reported similar successful results even though it was made for the prime, and my TF101 has not blown up or anything. Hope that helps. Oh and make sjre that Asus sync is turned off and try reinstalling the transformer drivers if none of the above works.

There are a number of threads confirming that it worked for them. I will be testing this out tonight when i get home.

Well i believe the first option in the latest version of vipermod is based on mempodroid; vipermod just makes it a lot easier to root.

Has anyone tried vipermod on asus slider?
i rooted last night my TF101 ICS with ViperMode method and work 100%.
At first I thought Rootkeeper worked, everything showed as rooted and TI worked fine, but it wouldn't prompt for anything new that needed root. So I had to re-root with vipermod, but that did not work for me at first. It would not launch the adb server. I issued adb devices, that launched the server, then reran the bat and then it worked for me with option 1.
Ive got one more question. Ive been looking in the internet for a few hours, but i didnt find what i wanted to find. How do i exactly root with vipermod?
I was only able to find Guides for the prime, but I read somewhere that its for both tf201 and 101. Can someone please post a ink to a guide , a guide or something like that? Would be the coolest ;D because i really need root. XD

First of all, if you are in ICS, all you need to do is download the vipermod tool from

You should connect you tf101 and make sure under settings you have usb debugging checked. On your computer run the tool, click option 1 (even if it says tf201), just wait for it to reboot and confirm you have superuser and root. Hope this helps.
If you are still in honeycomb, i think there is another option for Tf101 in vipermod
im still hc user because of in austria and germany ota upgrade comes on1st march ...

You DON'T boot into ADB (no such thing)
Just turn USB debugging ON.
Connect TF to PC via USB and run ViperMod (choose option 1)

ICS is option 1
HC is option 3
Also make sure USB debugging is on AND your drivers are installed too.
