Step One:
Flash a Second ROM
Before you do anything, make a nandroid backup of your current ROM with ROM Manager or through your recovery module. If anything goes wrong, you can always restore from this backup to get things back to the way they were.
To set up BootManager, just download and install it from the Market, and start it up. You'll also want to grab a ROM of your choice and save the zip file on your SD card.
When you first start up BootManager, it'll prompt you to back up your boot.img, which you should do before installing any ROMs. Once you've done that, head to "Install ROMs". Pick the zip file from your SD card containing the ROM you want to flash, and check all three boxes: Wipe System, Wipe Data, and Wipe Cache. Let it do its thing (which will take awhile). When you're done, it will give you the option of booting into your new ROM. Hit Done; we aren't ready to boot into it just yet.
Click to collapse
Step Two:
Install Google Apps and Other ROM Add-Ons
Most ROMs don't come with Google's copyrighted apps, like Gmail, the Market, and others. This is a problem, since when you boot into your new ROM you need BootManager to function if you ever want to boot out of it, and it won't work unless you're signed into the Android Market. Luckily, there's an easy fix (note: if you know your ROM comes with Google Apps installed, you can skip this step).
Download the Google Apps zip file for the ROM you just installed and go back to BootManager. Hit Install ROMs. This time, pick Google Apps' zip file, and use the same slot that you used in step one. Leave all three "wipe" boxes unchecked this time. When it's done, booting into that slot will take you to the original ROM, but with the Google apps installed.
If you want to install a theme or other zip-based mod in the future, you can do that using this method too. Just remember: if you're flashing a new ROM, check all three "wipe" boxes, but if you're just installing an add-on to a ROM, don't check any of them.
Click to collapse
Step Three:
Switch Between ROMs
To boot into one of your other ROMs, just head into BootManager and choose "Boot Installed ROM". It'll show you a list of ROMs you have installed on your device, and after choosing one of them it will reboot into that ROM. BootManager will come installed on each of your other ROMs as well, and as long as you're signed into the Android Market on that ROM, you can boot into it from there as well and switch back to your main ROM.
Click to collapse
That's it! You can flash up to five ROMs at a time, so you'll never be bored by one measly operating system. Hit the link to download BootManager.
BootManager is a $2.99 download for Android 2.1 and up. See the Market page below for officially supported devices.

BootManager will not work with Samsung devices that are not listed because of the way Samsung handles the boot partition. Motorola phone's with a locked bootloader will also not currently work. Check compatible phones above.
I think it will change the partition size of Memories. Also, If it does & somehow not support your device then may brick your phone as well.

NO.. Freeze what u want from TB.
It looks very nice, I like the simplistic approach. Thanks for taking the time to work on this!
One thing I'd like to know about Bravia Engine: did you have to do anything to port it or did a ported version from another device work on the A2?

Good deal. I've ran your roms on the captivate and the infuse and they are good stable roms. I'll be flashing this once my a2 charges up. Thanks for making one for the a2.

EDITED- BEST ROM EVER. The issues I had must have been something weird. Bad download, shady install... I don't know. What I do know is the second time I installed this ROM its working beautifully. Appologies to the Dev. You obviously took your time with this. Great work! This is the first ROM I've used where I actually like the stock launcher. This ROM is very battery friendly and everything I've tryed so far works as advertised. Including CWM on boot + GPS.
Thank you Googler_1976! Very nice work!

On the positive side... I like the notification screen, phone pad dialer, the whole system seems very smooth and quick. I might take another look at this when I have more time. Thanks for your efforts! You will make a lot of people happy with this.
@cogeary,
Thanks for the sequence on the Play Store. I'll give that a try next time I install this.
KEB64 said:
I think I like enough tor use. Couple things... Google play store keeps force closing. I deleted cache and data and I'm getting force closes still. I repaired permissions as well. CWM on boot doesn't appear to be working. Not sure why. Is the lockscreen supposed to have an almost double image of a lock and unlock? Seems like it shouldn't? Keyboard is throwing up weird images of keys and freezing spuratically. Sorry for my spelling.

Had to cancel download so I haven't been able to download and flash yet so I don't know about the lockscreen or keyboard. However, I know that the market/play store will FC if you flash /system without clearing data... to fix it just clear cache+data, uninstall updates, then leave it open for a minute or two to update.
How do you make roms? Do u use the android kitchen? Im interested in making (yet another) rom for the a2

I think it can be flashed in to MB865 phone just like ME865 flashing with MB865-zip.
WARNING 1 : You must have your phone flashed to ICS (mostly by RSD lite) before you flash this rom.
WARNING 2 : The rom may be over-and-wrongly-modified that made some RAM problem. I suggest you wait some clean roms.
P.S. The previous 04-Jul leaked version includes Both English and Chinese interface and I think this one has the same language module.

I tried to flash the MB865 rom , like those SCV7 roms, into my ME865 as long as it's a CWM flashable rom.
I do think you can make a trial but remember to make a backup and make sure your phone is bootmenu-installed.

There is a way to get an ics ROM onto our Atrix 2 phones. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1779968
Then you can use SCv7. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1648421

warning:- try at ur own risk if it did't work or brick ur phone don't blame me
1)backup with boot menu custom recovery
2)wipe data and cache
3)flashed zip and reboot(it will erase bootmenu hijack but dont worry say goodbye to boot menu)
4)after system boots install bootmenu and install hijack again

why not use the system keeper option in boot menu instead of saying goodbye to boot menu
that way if something goes wrong you can still get into recovery

Can someone lease tell me the prerequisites for this rom..
im seeing many comments to this thread and nothing of substance...
do u have to have some sort of ics leak already installed..

i dont have bootmenu installed..
so please anyone can you clarify this..

I have decided to post the wipe scripts here for those Kernelholics & Flashaholics that are flashing kernels and ROMs constantly. I've made small modifications to these scripts to be flashed on HTC ONE S FULL credit to the originator of them Credits below.
These are compatible with CWM, TWRP.
Since there have been numerous kernels recently being posted and people wondering what to wipe or what not to wiped here is the Kernel Cleaner.
1. Place the file in the root of your /sdcard
2. Flash Kernel Cleaner
3. Flash Kernel if on TWRP on lower baseband or FastBoot Kernel
4. Reboot.
Download: http://d-h.st/HDi
This second script I'm sure everyone is familiar with SUPERWIPE script.
Tired of wiping after every ROM or not knowing what to wipe to flash a ROM and have a clean install? Just flash this script & flash ROM easy right?
This wipes SYSTEM, CACHE, DATA.
1. Place Wipe-Script in root of /sdcard
2. Flash Wipe-Script
3. Flash ROM
4. Reboot.
Download: http://d-h.st/61T
Debug
If it doesn't flash please tell me what recovery your using.
ONLY works for the HTC ONE S flashing on other devices will leave you with a BRICKED DEVICE. You have been warned.

I know, I have to make some small changes but since I don't own a One S anymore there is no way to test it and with how sensible a wipe script is I don't want to release a blind one and have people brick their phones.
Just wondering, would this still work? I have been recently sent here by another thread. And as for the second script, is that what is present in twrp 2.6 now? (since factory reset wipes those things)
Edit: was linked to the wrong thread. Sorry.

Yes, its the same process u can do via recovery , but OpenRecoveryScript automizes it and makes sure u arent missing any file or making a mistake,
and does it in one click
Also,
The international rom doesnt need to be loki'd and the app takes care of the loki'd kernel ...
So u simply download any tw based rom and u r done

U do not need to bother about an ATT update that will patch loki,

Hey,
Its not really a tool, just an app using openRecoveryScript to help automize the process decribed in your thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2295557
So, what exactly do u want, the apk ? or the source code ?
Anyways, i have attatched the APK for tw based roms in this post..
Just a few things to take care about :-
*This app is completely safe it takes a COMPLETE backup as a compulsion before flashing, you can simply restore back to your previous rom
*Make sure that you have enough space for a packup after copying your rom to the sd card.
*U need to be using TWRP , (as of now thats the only recovery i support, i will add other recovery supports soon)
*A TW based ROM of a differant or same carrier. (AOSP yet to test.)
*External SD card is required, the proper app will allow u to use internal or external sd.
*Open the app once, close it, u will se a folder "flashall" in your sd card, rename ur rom as rom.zip and place it inside this folder.
*Once done, open the app, and click on Do It, grant root access and take a 10 minute nap,
*when u wake up u will the carrier rom booted up on its start screen
NOTICE :- THIS IS AN ALPHA BUILD! :-
*i just made this to test if it works!,
*i am planning to make a proper app with a proper UI soon not only for ATT but for all devices (qualcom based)
*This app lacks any kind of UI or User Friendlyness, as in it doesnt allow one to use the directory he wants or let the rom not be renamed etc.
*The app when released will be much better at looks and functionality.
*The app when released will have an explorer that helps u locate ur rom and just selct it, (no renaming and locating etc)
*The app when released will have much more checks to make sure the user is not making any mistake.
*This alpha currently doesnt give a kernel choice and uses the KT kernel [29/6].
*The app once released will allow the user a choice of available kernels, for their device carrier.
ROMs u can try out from other carriers :-
*Omega
*WanamLite
*BoBCaTROM
*Rom Pyrana
*FoxHound GearEngine
*:::BATTERY KING:::
*Android Revolution HD
*WICKED™
*DARTHSTALKER S4
*Death Star
*INFAMOUS S4™
*Frosty Jellybean S4
*Apollyon
*WarpDrive SGS4 Edition
*Jedi-S4X
*Binary™
*Infamous S4™ Google Edition
*VirginROM [Google Edition]
*CleanROM Lite
*Hyperdrive
*Jelly 'Beans'
*SynergyROM VZW S4
*Galaxy S4 Premium
*GOLDENEYE
*Mint Jelly
*CleanROM
*SHOstock
*MDOB
*INFAMOUS S4™
*SPECTRUM_S4
Note:- you can flash i9505 tw based roms or verizon, or t-moble roms, but NOT 19500 roms! that is not a quad core qualcom phone! Also u may be required to re-add the apn settings for 4g lte, refer to the guide for that!

This is more for people who soft bricked their device after they flashed a wrong ROM meant for single SIM Desire X.
This ROM is the same one as stock except it is deodexed.
If your DX is working fine with the stock ROM, I suggest you stick to it.
You can follow the link given on post #2 for the general discussion

These have more features than stock ROM but still the stock ROM is the best.

Please note this is based on 2.21.707.3, make sure what your software version is and make a full backup of your current system in case something goes wrong.
Some people make big mistake because never make a backup.
Anything further, ask here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537913
Check this thread thoroughly before you decide to flash a custom ROM

Thanks, I'm not going to try as per ur suggestion.
I've one question, this may be irreverent here but wanted to check.
In my phone, is there any way to disable locking. It is locking out as per the sleep time configured in settings.
I don't want it to be locked, instead it should show blank screen (timeout).
I believe frequent unlocking is hitting my phone performance.
And if I underclock my phone, it is really hard to unlock (very slow response)
sim card is not working
hey!! this rom is smooth and stable but my both sim card is not detected, any solution for this?
