Need to reset my wife's huwaie(sp?) G300 and format the sd card as it seems to have duplicated itself somehow!?! I've used mybackup to backup- can I simply copy the generated backup file to a laptop so that I can format the sdcard, then copy the backup (apk file?) back to the sdcard to restore the pics/apps etc?
Many thanks in advance!!
Use Titanium Backup application from Google play.
Install Titanium Backup and restore all installed apps including the data (like saved profiles of games) to sd card. The folder will be created on sd card as Titanium Backup. You can just copy and paste the images and videos manually from sd card to your pc along with the titanium backup folder.
Now you can format the sd card and reinstall apps from backup.
Hope this helped you.
NOTE: Titanium Backup requires root since it can backup and modify system apps too.
If your mobile doesn't have root use "App Backup and Restore" from Google play.

Newly rooted xoom and have free Titanium backup installed and would like to backup to sd card but I cannot find an option to backup to the sd card. It is backing up to /mnt/sdcard/titaniumbackup now.
I cannot find an option to change it to the external sd card.

Create the folder on your sdcard first, then go to the options menu, backup folder...hit detect. It should detect the other folder then. If not you may have to backup a file and move it into the new folder first, then hit detect.

I emailed TB support and found that I could hit the soft back key on the zoom and it would see all the files instread the few on the screen. I then found the file I would to backup in /mnt/sdcard/external and TB created the backup file there.
The key was finding that I could search for the file using the soft "back" button.

I do not know
Try installing stock rom again.
u may need to flash your original rom or ask someone who was backup the shock camera.
Beside, u can try other 3rd camera apps
Use root explorer
Go to system directory
Mount partition as r/w
Paste the apk in system/apps
Reboot
I think this will help you. if it does please THANK me.

Well also don't forget to set full permissions.
Once when I copied the apk file it didn't work later when I set full permissions it worked.
I would use titanium backup to backup the apps you have, then do a factory reset if the AOL fix above doesn't worm.
mount your SD card from your PC transfer a copy of your Titanium Backup folder from SD card to PC the MAin folder and the contents will all be saved. Then reinsert SD in phone uninstall TitBa clearing the data first then uninstall. Then boot into ClockWorkMod then wipe all 3 cache's then do "Fix Permissions" then Reboot phone. Re-Install Titanium back up and transfer your app backups from your PC back into your newly created TB folder that your phone will make on the SD card when you install TB. Then go into Restore/Backup in TB and restore the App.
You need to allow to install apps from unknown sources!
I have used Titanium backup pro version on my Atrix 2 to backup everything before flashing to ICS. The option of system+apps was chosen. It generated tons of files under the directory /sdcard/Titanium backup, total of ~900M zip files. Do the backup files contain everything? Is it safe to delete everything on my sdcard except the Titanium folder? If I do restore with just that folder, would it get me back everything?
No, you shouldn't delete EVERYTHING. I am not sure exactly what TB keeps and what it disregards, but don't expect to contain data from apps that save to various folders on the SD card. For example, if you backup Polaris Office, it will not backup the document files that are saved in the Documents folder. Backing up the gallery does not backup pics, Music.apk doesn't back up mp3 files, etc. Text messages and call logs are not backed up automatically either.
Be careful what you decide to delete. My advice, move everything to a pc except the Titanium Backup folder, and restore from there. You will know what is backed up and what is not.
What is the best program to do a full Android backup, including apps, additional files, Folders, Contacts, etc.... ??
Titanium Backup... requires root access.
Titanium Backup but if you want a complete back even of your firmware then a Nandroid backup using CWM
But Titanium backup doesn't backup folders!

Titanium Backup covers everything you need to restore the device after a factory reset. A factory reset normally does not affect the internal or external sdcard (which you can easily backup yourself).
Titanium Backup can save external app data (unlimited, never or up to a certain amount of memory), configurable in the settings.
But as you backup to the internal or external sd card, TB would backup itself when storing everything blowing up the backup.
Ok, so here's the deal. I just bought a GS3 coming from a Inspire 4G and I used Titanium Backup to back up all my .apks and their data. I installed Titanium Backup onto the S3 and moved the data from the external SD to the internal memory where the Titanium Backup folder was created for the S3. But the problem is the apps aren't showing up in Titanium Backup where I can reinstall them. Even if I install the app then open Titanium Backup to see if it recognizes the backup now that the app is on the phone I still get nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
