[Q]AndroidArm CM-10.1D Android 4.2 & CЯEE v4[Samsung Galaxy Fit] - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

Hi there! I am a newbie and this is my first post in this forum.
I downloaded two roms for my Samsung Galaxy Fit and I have some questions.
The first rom I downloaded is AndroidArm CM-10.1 Android 4.2. I would like to say thank you to erikcas because he made a very good job. Regarding to this rom, my questions are the following: is Radio FM app installed in this rom? Is there a way to move the installed app from the internal memory to SD card (s2e app can not be installed)?
The second, and now in use, rom I downloaded is CЯEED v4. This rom is amazing and very well done, but I have a little problem: the Italian language is not in the list! How can I set Italian on my phone?
Thank you for replying to me.
Regards.

Well,hello welcome to GFit forum.
In the erikcas rom there is no radio app,and YES you could move the apps from internal to external only if you have partitionated the sd card.
In creed v4 there is no european language, you can use apps like More Locale from Google Play but it is not traducing the entire system just some apps.

gabyif, thank you!
Your answers are very precious!
English (UK) is the only European language in list.
Can I ask you what do you think about CЯEE v4 rom?

Battery life is a bit poor..but you can use a different kernel with good battery life and performance.
Other than that, this rom is pretty good.
But sadly its not up-to-date because the dev has abondoned fit forum.

I am a newbie, what does it involve changing the kernel? How can I do that?
I read the news on CЯEE v4 thread. Thus, the 4th version unfortunately is really the last one!

Download one of the kernels from Android developement or Orignal developement section.
Kernel of samsung based roms are different from Cyanogen based. Also 2.3.6 kernels don't work with 4.0.4/4.1/4.2 and vice-versa.
Creeds being stock based (samsung based) use one of these kernels:
Wilfred's kernel
Asad007's kernel
Yajnab's Kernel
Jana kernel
Make sure you have cwm5.
Then go into recovery mode
Choose install zip from sd card
Select the Kernel (use volume button to scroll and power button to select)
Install it and reboot. Thats it

The installation of a kernel is easier than I thought.
Thus, can I indiscriminately choose one of these kernels without having bad consequences?
Which are the substantial differences of the kernels you proposed to me?

Yep..while on the contrary making one is more difficult than making a rom.
Yeah..choose anyone, but wisely! I havent tried yajnab's latest kernel on creeds4 but some users report it as not working.
I use willy's kernel because it has call recording.
You can choose according to your needs! (asad's kernel goes well with creeds)
Remember: Flashing kernel from different device would render your device uselss.
Flashing wrong kernel of fit will result in boot-loop (endless animation at startup)
In that case just simply flash the previous rom you were using..it will replace the kernel with the one you were using before
and you can have your device back without losing data.

HOW TO
You need custom recovery that will allow you to flash the ZIP from SD-Card.
If you are not familiar it can be tricky getting it started, but definately not impossible.
i just put this
* Firmware I570EXXJCE (I570EXXJCE.zip ) with Odin Multi Downloader + spica_jc3.ops
in this case what i will use tu put OMG v1.22.12.10
tks
i succed with LK2.08, tks

who are you, jaja!! I mean on samdroid.net, for sure you have and account there I'm androidGT btw just in case we've seen each other over there.
I guess we can rollback to our favorite mod if we want, are you using who's kernel, does it support ext2/4 mods?

this rom is based on -> xxjh1
i would not say i didnot use samdroid work
used his work like kernel.
i have tried to optimize them so that it can be usable on spica
i will start my own aosp rom (froyo maybe) just needed to check how do people react to my optimiations on optimized roms, many more things are been worked out if they work giving any better performance i will release an no wipe update
any other optimizations applied my result in multiple FC. sp. graphics optimiations. it might break some other things.
if testing u find better results please let people know abt it so that they can also enjoy what u have tested.
if u working on stable let it be
ok!
i'm on LK2.09.6 kernel...
Gonna try your rom when u update it with the "graphics optimizations"... I assume that's the new 2d-3d drivers from intercept on samdroid forum.
Great work!
What kind of OpenGL support does this have? Tried Quadrant yet?

[Q] A little help on Clockworkmod Recovery!!

OK, I've this question that prevented me from applying this upgrade.
1) I've stock ROM ddkt1 gingerbread 2.3.6 (through one package) on my phone. Is it a RFS or EXT file system?
2) Will it be OK to flash over it? (assuming the steps are followed correctly)
3) After installing this, if things go wrong while messing with the phone in the long run, will it be possible to revert back to stock ROM?
Please clear my doubts, I'm so ecstatic about this CWM release! Cheers!
as you are on stock 2.3.6 root it first.......and install cwm from tj_style.......stock rom is rfs file system it will not change unitl you flash a custom rom which is of ext4....you wont be able to do nandroid backup using cwm on your custom rom other features work as they should.....if anything goes wrong you can revert back to stock rom using odin download any official firmware and flash it.....if you are planning to use custom roms then after flashing a custom rom do a nandroid backup then there will be no need of a stock rom.....any doubts comment i will reply asap..
Simple, clear and to the point. Just what I needed to know, thank you.
This is my first appearance on Linux based OS and there are numerous questions flying around when tweaking around so the last thing I would like to ask is, will it be able to change the EXT to RFS after flashing the original ROM?
And yes, most importantly, among the few custom build ROM's (creed,razo...etc) around here which is the best bug free ROM with stability and performance? Let's be honest here since I don't want to follow that trial and error pattern in finding the best one once again, thanks for your help!
imho, it's razodroid.
and yeah you'll go back to rfs if you flash stock rom.
Thank you @lomash, so which version of razodroid you're referring to? Will it be flashable on my said ROM?
Wait for few days version 2.2 is coming for beginners razo 1 is the best its but free

you can revert back to rfs by flashing any official firmwares i cant find a reason why you would do so.....razodroid v2 is the one with least bugs but it isnt that fast as a beast.......razodriod v1 is the fastest that ive ever used and im currently on it......but v1 comes at a cost a small music bug which is neglectable....the music stops and starts while changing from app drawer to home screen.....razodroid v2.2 is almost ready to hit the forums.... so taking these things into consideration you can either go for razodroid v1 or wait for 2.2.....in doubts comment below....

razodroid v1 is stable at 763mhz performance governor you can flash that on stock 2.3.6 using cwm(i myself did so).....any doubts or flashing instructions comment below or always fell free to pm me

and i have faced no music bug.
Can't wait for the v2.2 so I downloaded and applied the v.1 through CWM, and it got some punch of torque packed in it! Awesome and so fly!! About the music bug, yes I noticed a flicker with the audio while cruising around some apps, notification bar and on clicking the home button, but on installing GO launcher it disappeared (weird), can't be happier!

You should say the same to those who rates 5 stars until it's not released.
I didn't vote. but another custom rom is surely what we do NOT need.
I can understand the one (s) who will rate this thread (and others too of course) very badly.

It could just be someone's personal learning-Android-journey shared with others, don't you think? If you decide to flash it or not is another story, but I think it helps to share ROM's so you get feedback and learn. I don't know with what goal raja makes it, but who are we to judge someone?

CM7.2 Alpha8.1 based rom & fully working rom are like merging an electron and a proton. It isn't logical. He could upload it as he want, but its YOUR choice to flash it. Maybe somebody else is willing to test this rom.

He does it because he wants to do it. He doesnt do it for us. Why "we dont need?". You dont need this, but maybe another xda user wants to try this rom, why not?. One person's trash is another person's treasure...
Let him try his best as he wants. Don't make useless posts. Let this rom be released and after this you can leave feedback.

[i9001][BASEBAND] NO MORE ODIN! Flashing baseband in recovery

DISCLAIMER: I'm not responsible for any damage to your phone, i tested all these files personally before uploading them and I don't have problems, but just in case you cannot blame me for any damage, no one forces you to mod your phone, if you don't want to risk don't do it
I'm here to give you a good news (even if it may be a little late since there will not be new baseband for our device)... I have found the way to flash the baseband in recovery, so from this moment our phone can be completely modded using only recovery mode
First of all I have to say thank you to @alireza7991 and @broodplank1337 because they were the first one to think it could be possible in this way. I have to say thank you to @Rhonin86 for testing help (he has a spare i9001 ) and to @adfree because he posted this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52944982&postcount=29
Here is a list of zip files containing basebands, I will update it from time to time
I9001XXKPO (last Italian and German stock firmware no brand)
I9001BUKP7 (last Italian and German stock Vodafone firmware
I9001XXKPM
I9001XXKPL
I9001XXKPF (Stock italian 2.3.5 firmware no brand)
I9001DDKP9 (Last Indian baseband)
I9001XXKG3
me and @Rhonin86 tested this, it works on all custom recoveries
Thanks to:
@alireza7991 and @broodplank1337 for the concept
@Rhonin86 for testing
@adfree for the partition layout and names
I can't provide all the basebands for our phone because on sammomibile there are some rom not available, and they are really a lot so if you want to test a baseband available here, and then have the possibility to come back on the one you are using now and it is not available here this is all what you need.
The backup script take a backup of the current baseband and put it in /sdcard/amss.bak
The restore script flashes the file /sdcard/amss.bak on you baseband, so it restores the backup
WARNING
Dont play with amss.bak file and be sure it is in its place before restoring it

Thank you for your work.
I guess XXKPO is the newest one (it's the baseband I'm using right now)
In your personal experience which one is best for signal specially GPS usage?

i used the two uploaded ones and i think they are quite the same, i stucked with bukp7 because is the last i tried and being quite the same as kpo i did not want to use odin to change it, now i will gather some basebands and make flashable zips, so who wants can try easily
im using the KPO baseband , yesterday i flashed release 6 of the ADC's cyanogen team , i love it !!! fast & smooth with ZERO bugs, then i flashed the KPO baseband ...i dont know but i feel much more battery life ...due to the baseband or the new rom & kernet ???
Rom: AriesVE DevConnection Team CM 11.0 [ION+PMEM ADSP]
Kernel: K^Kernel 3.4.x OC/EXUV 366MB [ION+PMEM ADSP]
Recovery: Team Win Recovery Project v2.7.0
Baseband: XXKPO
Governor: smatassV2
I/O Scheduler: SIO
CPU Frequencies: 196 - 1665 MHz
Looks good! I'm now on KPM baseband (general Europe), because I'm from the Netherlands. Curious if the KPO baseband works in the Netherlands too!
Edit: connection with provider established! Let's see what it's going to do over time!

Ok, because I had it once upon a time with a stock gingerbread rom that it had issues after flashing a new baseband via odin and it stabilized after wiping caches. But maybe it was coincidence.
Im using XXKPO for almost 2 years now, and never had any problems with it. The batterylife is great and i also have signal everywhere (provider: o² Germany)

[Edit] Problem solved. You can ignore the following post. The camera is working with the XXKPO baseband!
----------
hello guys,
i flashed XXKPO in recovery. Since then my camera (aosp & google) can't safe photos anymore. The pictures are taken but not saved. It worked with XXKPK before,
I am using CM11-20140808-UNOFFICIAL-dev_connection_team_arievse
Things i tried:
1. factory reset
2. download baseband zip a second time, flash the new file
3. installing CM rom image again
Non of these efforts made a change.
I was thinking about formatting the internal sd-card, but i haven't done this yet, because i have no difficulties to write on this partition.
Does anyone have an idea, what caused this strange behavior?
Just wanted to know what will happen if I flash baseband/firware on custom rom? I mean from sammobile. Thanks

MultiRom is very well known and considered one of the best customised MIUI. Why would it be a scam?
Had any body tried this rom? What about the battery life? Are there any Chinese app? Give us a review please. Thanks before

This rom is basically a global developer, more so than even xiaomi.eu, since there are less modifications. No Chinese apps, battery life is variable on the releases, which are weekly. Keep in mind that their community is only in Russian, so this could be a problem.

Look forward to your review.
How many roms/different versions have you used btw on prime?
I found eur rom 8.1.3 is the 'best' battery and to last longest compared to the other ones I tried... I using 8.1.3 again.
Epic was ok/good though battery for some reason didn't seem so good.

Hi guys. Here's my review of this fantastic ROM. Generally I'm impressed by this rom. It's almost perfect. Everything works. After trying all available roms for 4 prime this one looks the best of all. The battery is as great as the global 8.2.4 which was great too. You can see the details in screen shots. I have charged it 77 percent and that's the details. I rooted and flashed xposed on it too and they work fine. Titanium works great. ( not working on official global roms even after I rooted them and that's why I switched to this from global.) the other strong point of this is the ram management. Ram is 1.5 gigabytes free as you see. This was just 1 gig in other roms. Swipe up gesture to start searching which is only available on China developer roms works on this too so no need to install nova launcher for having this great feature. By the way I have used lineage and mokee too but I like this one best. Let me know if there's any question.

No. The system partition will be overwritten when you flash the Rom. If you wipe system before flashing MR build it may show 'failed to extract /system' error. Rebooting to recovery again is a solution then.

See /system/media/audio folder for available sounds. See if it's not empty. If you can't set any external sound files as ring/alarm, that may be a bug to look into. I was just sharing this rom here and in no way is related to MR development team. Hope things gets fixed in the release next.
