lol in my case it's the shutdown animation that doean't work , how do you turn off your device ? with button off or through the ShutDownAnimation app ? (this app doesn't appear in my launcher nor in link2sd !!) i attached a modified version for those who doesn't have working bootanimation (optimized size)
EDIT : another version with loop and fade added ! attention this one is not a flashable zip , just rename to bootanimation.zip and place in /system/media/ then set correct permissions

Here are a few boot animations for galaxy fit!
the way ill tell you to apply them is the simplest as per my understanding!
It does not require using Adb shell or Terminal Emulator and is fairly simple!
[NOTE- I AM NOT THE REAL DEVELOPER OF THESE ANIMATIONS IVE JUST COLLECTED ALL OF THEM AND JUST RESIZED A FEW TO 240*320 resolution]
The animations are-
Alien (this is taken from Vishwanath's Alien Mod theme)
Android 3d
Android crumble
Android pissing
Aqua sphere
Android shine green
Autumn style (this is taken from Vishwanath's Autumn style theme)

FOR MY DEAR CM7 USERS-
You can now add sound to your boot animation!! !
Follow these steps:
This is tutorial for how to put sound with boot animation
first download attached file CM7bootsound.zip
then extract it
you find two files
one is bootsnd.sh put this file directly in sdcard
second file is soundatboot.zip it is cwm flashable zip so in cwm mount system and sdcard then install this zip file
then reboot
now open terminal emulator
then type following(after each command push enter)
su
cd /sdcard (there is space after cd )
sh bootsnd.sh
reboot
now when reboot there is music with bootanimation
when want to change music rename your desire sound to android_audio.mp3 and copy to system/media/
then reboot

No bro! Unfortunately i don't have that stock samsung boot animation and i dont think that anyone likes that!
However,if you are ' not' on FitDroidv2.0 you can use the stock Samsung boot animation...just open "downloaded boot animations" and the last boot animation by the name "system_backup" might be having the samsung boot animation (Im not sure whether its present or not)

i believe you need to edit the boot.img in order to change that...but up til now i havent found the solution to extract the boot.img..i've tried using magic iso or power iso..still no result..unless you are on unix system..there is a way to extract the boot.img thru several steps and some tools will also be needed..but currently im running on windows xp

ya! u may be right that its not working on ddkq5, i flashed it and then tried to flash FITDRIOID but my phone got in a boot loop so, i just reverted back to de-odexed KPL + FITDROID by VISHWANATH!!...
u can go for Kpl yaar, ddkq5 has no benefits except that the INDIAN APNS are automatically detected!!

Bro...i am using this since two days ...and its working without any problem...Maybe the firmware can be a problem...I am using it on XXKPL 2.3.4+FitDroidv2.0 ...
If u are facing reboot issues then try another launcher...(adw launcher,go launcher ex,etc!)
I followed the procedure lyk i extracted the files intot he folder on my SD card...and after tat wen i click boot animation in the tool....it shows failed to download files.....WAT DOES THIS MEAN
look new [boot animation] nexus prime with sound
method on Root Explorer
copy sanim.zip to system/media/sanim.zip
permissions for sanim.zip file [rw-r--r--]
copy poweron.wav to system/etc/poweron.wav

1st go to root explorer /syetem/etc now u look top on right side [mount r/w] clik on mount r/w now it's in mount r/o. ok now go to poweron.wav and hold on it. u have see options menu u go to permissions
u see some right arrow in boxes ,k 1st row owner fill all three box with arrow
now 2nd row group fill 1 and 3 box , and last row in others fill 1 and 3 box with right arrow. now clik on ok . and check it sound.
sorry for late rplay and bad english.
otherwise boot animtion sound is not play u'll go to cwm recovery mod, go in advence wipe dalvik cache.

sorry sharad i was not check it but it will do by delete this file. and go to sound setting and mute system and midia sound after check...
some body has no boot animation they will try how to play boot animation sound and u have it u r not want to slilent boot animation sound hahaha........
boot animation is superb but bootsound dont match perfetctly with it. Means bootsound is little boring. I had once heared bootanimation in tripin theme. That was super awsom.

codeworkx is already working on cm7. When he will able to port a stable CM7 with camera issue solved then I think we will be listed in official cm7 list.
Regarding boot animation how u reduced size of droid x file? Anyway I used original file directly with renaming it as sanim.zi. Its working surerbly.

Yes you will. Usually do that when I put in custom boot animations over stock ROM!

This is the Marvel Avengers boot animation found at the beginning of the movie THE Avengers
How to install:
1. Download this boot animation
2. Use Root Explorer to go to /system/media
3. place avengers.zip in and rename it to bootanimation.zip or sanim.zip
4. Reboot and enjoy the boot animation
Will this cause bootloops?

Hi All.
Pretty new in this, i have jus installed Dark Fantasy 2 in Samsung P3100 however there is no boot animation in the ROM, can someone suggest how to update or install boot animation? I tried to update the same by putting in bootanimation.zip in "system ->media" but dosent works...

When u put the boot animation into system/media u must also change the permissions to rw-r-r

Then by downloading the XTZ boot animation it should remove the Docomo insignia, which sounds like is part of your boot animation. Try downloading it.

Nothing special, but attached is a couple of animations I modified for the XTZ. bootanimation1.zip is called Tron-Like and bootanimation2.zip is called Blue Gears. Credit for the animations should be given to their creator (unknown to me). Rename the one you want to use as bootanimation.zip, copy it to /data/local/, and reboot your tablet.
