[BOOTANIMATION] Droid Bionic

Simple, Droid Bionic boot animation. It works for me, using XboarderMOD. Place in /data/local or /system/media, depending on ROM. No, it is NOT clockworkmod flashable.

I have the audio file that the bootanimation is suppose to work with so I put the audio file in the same location as the bootanimation but it does not work. Anyone know what I would need to do for the audio to work with the bootanimation?

but ,How to make the sound work ?...

For stock rom:
Installation
1. Download the file(s) to your SD Card
2. Open Root Explorer (or an app like it)
3. Copy the file you wish to move
3. Paste to directory /system/customize/resource
4. Set file's permissions to:
- First Column: all three checked
- Second Column: first one checked only
- Third Column: all three unchecked
5. Reboot to test

check your default.xml in the system/customize/CID and look near the bottom for the bootconfig. line and if you see<BootAnimation animation="/system/customize/resource/bootanimation.zip" (this can be different)
(audio="/system/customize/resource/android_audio.mp3" />(could be data/local as well) that part lets you know if you have audio enabled or not. if its there you do and if not then... no

Tests and Report

i let my phone always reboot, just to see this animation!!!

Glad ya guys like it, Motorola phones always have had good boot animations, from the razr to the bionic.

-your phone must be rooted
-rename the bootanimation.zip(downloaded file) to sanim.zip
-backup the original sanim.zip in /system/media
-use root explorer or equivalent to copy the file to /system/media
-change permissions to (where Y is yes )

hey..its does not work ..probably due to different resolution its 1280x720...
I placed it in system/media ..it did not show up
someone has to rescale it...

can you try to rename it to sanim.zip..

IMHO I am not impressed by Nexus Prime boot animation. I am not sure if it is the real one or a fake. Looks cluttered and random!!! I like the droid bionic and nexus S boot animation..

there is no sanim.zip file in /system/media but i have ODEAnim.zip i tried to name the downloaded file with both names . buts its not working for me I want to know where i'm going wrong

it's all there in the framework-res.apk

copy this to /system/framework using root explorer or any file manager.
it'll give you all that you need but at some places the text formatting may get messed up
do make a backup of the original and replace at your own risk.

If possible try learnin how to add CRT by your self
Decompile framework-res.apk
Go to values-->bools.xml
Change animate screen lights (dont know the xact name) to true from false
compile it back
Open build.prop in system folder and delete line debug.sf dont know the xact line but starts like this )
Thn Flash it via recovery and U r done
If u r not able to do all these things just send me the framework-res.apk and build.prop and 'd do it for u

dude by changing stuff in build.prop dosent the phone slow down?
i changed my version number and display name, it worked well but apps in sd card on tw took 15 min to show
n is it safe or has some side effects

Modding build.prop cause no harm and dosnt cause any side effect as such....
U mod it perfectly thn it would work fine

dude first i tried changing the framework res from the phone but couldnt find values inside res... using root explorer
nd ive seen on other sites u gotta change many more things
so will this work or do something else

lol in my case it's the shutdown animation that doean't work , how do you turn off your device ? with button off or through the ShutDownAnimation app ? (this app doesn't appear in my launcher nor in link2sd !!) i attached a modified version for those who doesn't have working bootanimation (optimized size)
EDIT : another version with loop and fade added ! attention this one is not a flashable zip , just rename to bootanimation.zip and place in /system/media/ then set correct permissions

I'm using the G2 with the CloudyG3 Rom... This works for me don't for get to set permissions to r-w-r-r 0644 after you copy and paste to media

I have no idea on how to change the boot animation on the G3 but one thing I know: I made those animations for the nexus 5 and that website just stole them... fantastic.

I dropped them a comment under their article. There is a word for what they probably did and I hate that behavior. However, thanks for your work.

What I meant to say is "I have not looked how this phone loads the boot animation, some phones use different folders."

Anyway, the one with the black background loads faster

I tried changing the bout animation on my Verizon g3 copy and pasted to system/media and changed the permissions to rw-r-r but it didn't work all it did was eliminate the boot animation all together any ideas on how to change it. It worked fine on my g2

This is a silly question but did you rename it bootanimation.zip ? Watch out for spaces, too !!!!

Ye I did also I did since get it working just last night after I had to do a restore using the tot method I don't know what changed but our works now
