recovery verified failed
i tried to boot into fastboot by plugging it into a computer and update its drivers when the "starting fastboot us download protool" appears but nothing happend.

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you know a fix for this on my WIFI only xoom
Using the guide from here about Wifi Unlocking and rooting Ive unlocked the bootloader on my Xoom. Ive flashed Clockwork and am up to the part where I have to boot into clockwork recovery to install the root tool, however there is no option to enter 'Android Recovery' when I push the Down key on the dual core boot screen, during the first 3 seconds of the first boot after flashing. Theres NVFlash, fastboot and another but no recovery.
I am able to get into recovery via the ADB REBOOT RECOVERY command however I dont get into Clockwork and am stuck on a screen with a green android logo in the center. Pushing any manner of buttons does nothing and the tab automatically resets after 2 or 3 mins in that mode. Has anyone else seen this and know of a fix?? Ive since learned that if you allow the tab to boot into honeycomb it installs the stock recovery and you have to start over by reflashing clockwork, as stated tho no Android Recovery option appears. Any ideas?
recovery is not installed properly.
put your recovery file in fastboot folder
rename it to recovery.img
in fastboot run: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
this recovery file is not zip file but .img file(rename it for ease of typing)
I've done it exactly like that, 3 times now. all the messages seem to indicate its flashed correctly. Heres what it says on the tab:
Flashing allowed for partition recovery
OneWire: Charger not connected
Battery Level 82%
Flashing Stormgr partition recovery Status:- done!
And i get the OKAY's in the terminal box as well. Still no Android recovery menu. I read in a dev post reguarding this same procedure a few other ppl had the same issue. I was hoping sum1 had a fix
Hi,
i bought my Acer Iconia A510 two years ago and put "NoThrills A510 WorldWide optimized Stock ROM" on it.
Everthing was working fine.
Now i wanted to upgrade to "CyanogenMod 11".
I made a Nandroid Backup.
But now i'm stuck....
While booting up i can see
Code:
Bootloader Version 0.04.04-ICS-MDRR (Unlock Mode)
together with the Acer Logo. Nothinge else is happening.
When i boot to CWM-Recovery menu (Power und Vol-) i can see the knocked over Android figure for about a second with the following text:
Code:
CWM-based Recovery v6.0.5.0 by Shreps for A510 (LVM Support)
Finding update package...
E: unknown volume for path [SDCARD:update.zip]
E: Can't mount SDCARD:update.zip
Installation aborted
The tablet the just reboots again.
I can see the messages with or without a SD-card inserted in the tablet.
I downloaded the USB driver from the Acer website but only see "Unknown device" (Windows 7).
I tried
- Factory reset
- Hard reset
- Stock-Rom from Acer (but update.zip isn't found -> SD-card isn't found)
I have no idea how to get the tablet running again.
Any hints?
THX

Hi,
Reboot in fastboot mode
and flash another Recovery if CWM doesn't want to work
(you can try an older CWM or the latest TWRP)

Hi Shreps,
thank you for your answer.
I don't know how to flash another recovery when windows doesn't recognize the tablet ("Unknown device").
Any hint?
Thanks

I just upgraded my XT925 from 4.1.2 (JBBL) to 4.4.2 (KKBL) via OTA. Bootloader was already unlocked. I then flashed in philz-touch 6.58.7 recovery. Flashing completed without error. However, when I booted the phone into recovery mode via pressing buttons or adb command, I always got "No command" and a dead green android with exclamation mark.
How can I get back into recovery (stock or phil-touch) ? Do I need to root the phone first before flashing recovery ?
Thanks.

Found the answer from another thread. All I had do was that:
1) unplug USB cable right after recovery was flashed
2) tap the power button
3) immediately hold down power and up-vol buttons to boot
4) select recovery (down-vol) and the up-vol to boot into phil-touch recovery.
ok. first off, device is a shield K1 wifi only version.
device bootloader unlocked, fastboot says "device - unlocked
initially was on TWRP 2.8.2.0 and lollipop 5.0.1
it started as booting from the NVidia logo into a black screen.
I then tried "Shield + Ram"
tried flashin CWM, superSU then bonestock firmware (4.3 JB)
rebooted and it is still in a boot loop. "NVidia powered by android"
flashing with "Shield+Ram" , CWM , ------------- booting into fastboot then recovery mode, it goes into bootloop at "NVidia powered by android"
flashing with "Shield+Ram" , "Stock Recovery" , ------------- booting into fastboot then recovery mode, it goes into bootloop at "NVidia powered by android"
flashing with Windroid universal android toolkit, default TWRP. ------------- booting into fastboot then recovery mode, it just stays stuck at "NVidia powered by android"
flashing with Windroid universal android toolkit, with twrp-2.8.6.0-shieldtablet.img. ----------------- booting into fastboot then recovery mode, it just stays stuck at "NVidia powered by android"
booting normally,it would just go into a boot loop of "NVidia powered by android"
pretty much at my wits end.
any help is much appreciated.
that said, with WinDroid, I tried flashing SuperSU, it says "No Device Found"
WinDroid detects Nvidia Shield as "Fastboot" with a blue dot on the bottom left of the window of the windows app.
I downloaded the latest 2.2.1 update from
https://developer.nvidia.com/gameworksdownload
and used fastboot commands from Shield Ram v1.1
inside the image folder. for 2.2.1 wifi only. there is a bat file called flash-all.
now attempting flash-all, currently in flashing progress. will update status.
and it works.all working now.
Cannot boot into download or recovery mode
Hi, my samsung Tab2 is stuck at the "Firmware upgrade encountered an error" screen. No matter which combination of buttons I press, I cant get into download or recovery. I've tried flashing with Odin, it shows successful but nothing has changed. I tried the ADB command but it says "Waiting for device". When I plug in the tab to the charger (or when I connect it to the PC) it comes on automatically with the "Firmware upgrade encountered an error" screen. Is it a power button thing or is it something else ?
Thanks.
Sachin
Flash the CWM recovery via Odin, and restart. now you can go to the recovery mode and install ROM from sd card.
Dont try to flash any other recovery file, working with CWM only.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I've already tried that, Odin shows it is successful but when i restart, nothing seems to have changed, the same upgrade error comes back.
