Minecraft Pocket Is Out!

Search Minecraft Pocket on the market and you should see it. I just got it on rooted generic UK 2.3.3.

From what I can see it's strictly creative mode. Blocks can be destroyed very quickly, but there is no inventory or crafting. Local multiplayer is possible, but joining online servers is impossible.
The usable block list is as follows:
Wood ladder

2 types of flowers
2 types of mushrooms

I'm quite deterred to buy the app because it offers so little compared to current Beta. I'm having fun on my local server with several friends and I don't think I want to start another world myself, at least not now since I have to juggle with school.

Also, great news, from what I've read and understood, there's gonna be a Survival in the future updates.
"The first version (Alpha 0.1) will focus on the creative aspects of Minecraft." - that means that other versions will include Survival too.
"Just like the PC/Mac/Linux version of Minecraft we’re planning to continue developing the Pocket Edition for a long time with frequent updates. We are eager to hear what the Minecraft community thinks about our new game and what you all want to see in future updates." - so they want to update this version as much as possible to be in the rhythm with the version for PC.

I've just downloaded it. Version 0.1.Alpha. 5 euro.
Controls:
D-pad: movement: Left and right d-buttons make the character strafe
X- Jump
Square and Circle- Switch blocks
Triangle- Show all blocks
R- lay block
L- Hit with a block? I haven't played Minecraft before, so I don't know. The guy just sways the block as if it was a melee weapon.
The right touchpad allows you to look around.

The controls are a bit tricky to get used to, but after that, it's a piece of cake. The graphics are awesome and there isn't even a bit of lag. Mojang has done a great job!

I bought my copy on the train this morning havent had chance to try it out yet though

Downloaded this morning going to be some great fun, I am going to buy it at somepoint as I assume they will make a survival update so why not buy it now and create some fun stuff while out and about?

Just got my Xperia Play back couple weeks ago and now this has made it all back. All the stupid stuff, I can forgive now.

Seeds are different then desktop but who cares

The game is pretty bland as it is now, it has a few glitches and doesnt really give you much to do but I can imagine it being alot better when its available on all android devices. It would be way more fun to play with my friends

I'm not sure Sony is too happy that they've paid for the exclusive and the game is in alpha state...

hmm i dunno about that , i'm running sixaxis controller on my NC and cappy and have complete control of all applications and controller buttons. i'll give it a 50/50 chance of being controllable

Hi, I must say, amazing graphics - well done! And I did not thought I'd experience this, but this little game really made me jump a bit, when I first got bitten. After I got 1$ bill I was just leaving my hand open, nothing happened, so I thought what a silly snake and decided to go for more money... AAAAAAAHhhh. I've not played much of this kind of games, but this one is most fun and intense in a good way.
I'd love to see more different levels, with different dangers and hand movement variety.
After game loaded I was relieved that "OpenFeint" was a menu option and did not start loading, but then I opened the game... "NO, I DONT LIKE FUN". I guess it's a minor issue, but as a non "OpenFeint" user I hate then that happens.
Are you scaling sensitivity in a different screens? I'm testing on a Galaxy Tab 7, so my guess is that this game could be a little bit easier on a device with smaller screen.

This game is a lot of fun. I jump every time the snake bites me... lol. How about making the phone vibrate when it bites you? Bet that would make people jump even more.

Thanks for admitting the Black Mamba is the most dangerous snake in the world.
Get locked in a room with a King Cobra and you still have an edge on speed and can use that to kick/stun the snake on the head...so you can still survive.
Get locked in a [large] room with a Python/Boa Constrictor and you can easily out manouver the snake. You can get away even if you are bit since they are non-poisonous, just real scary...so you can still survive.
However if you get locked in a room with a Black Mamba, it will be quite vicious and much faster than you. You are most definitley going to get bit, and probably die in the next 3 hours.

I don't really think the graphics are that much of an improvement over the original Amiga version & with UAE4Droid emulating that one almost perfectly, I don't really see the point.

I have never owned an Amiga back in the days. I was born in 85 and my first video game device was a Sega Master System.
Could you recommend me 4~5 games I should try on UAE4droid ?

Supremecy. Space management game, planets, resources, ships, troops. One of my favourite.

My highest score isn't too great at the moment but I'm only just getting used to playing it again

Since installing this game, back on relase day, Mediaserver has been chewing through battery.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
The moment I force stop the game, the Mediaserver keep awake time stops. As soon as I open the game again, Mediaserver kicks back in and continues keep awake until I kill Bejeweled again.
I discovered it when my battery starting draining significantly faster then usual. Spent a bit of time trying to track down the cause and this appear to be it.

This happened to my gf too. Her battery was draining quicker then usual and I found it was because of the Mediaserver process.
I didn`t know it was Bejeweled Blitz, but this problem started when she started playing it.
When I check her battery info, the Mediaserver is chewing more battery than display!

My Favorite game, I may of helped it come to android I was complaining every day on there fb page to get it released on android for months lol I got hundreds of emails from them reporting there progress on there release hehe persistence pays off

We are going to publish new version with new additional races.

I like original graphics. I didn't even finish first race, because those "cannons" destroyed my car. Is there a way to avoid being hit? What's that break for? I completed the second race by pressing just acceleration from start to finish.

You should be near other cars. This will help you avoid big cannons. Thanks for playing our game.

Some suggestions
The game is really good but the graphics are even better. All this sort of mysterious design and images are definitely entertaining.
I think the game misses some background music. Well if it's even there, we weren't able to hear it on HTC One M8 and Nexus 5 devices, apart from the sounds.
We didn't really notice; however, an option to upgrade the already existing items that a car consists of is a great feature in our opinion. The new items kit is not a mandatory step so that the racing car is upgraded but improving it as one of the potential ways.
Also some weapons that the racing car may have on is a good option--you can shoot the opponents and make a way to the finish line sooner.
Facebook and Google Play Game services (e.g. Leaderboard and achievements) integration is an option to implement in game as well
In the meantime, we have rated game 5 stars and left our positive feedback on Google Play :good::good::good::good::good:
