So after more trawling, getting no where, I now have firmware for my GT8020 (why on earth the only site hosting them is hotfile.com - what a shoddy server) and before I attempt to flash it, am trying to find a .pit file, just in case as I am having to try everything because I cant find a straight answer anywhere on the internet!

Can anyone give me a link to download the COMPLETE (EVERYTHING INCLUDED) T-Mobile US Factory Firmware - SGH-T869
I can not get to a recovery mode - Only the KIES -"firmware upgrade encountered an issue" and ODIN download mode.
I need a 100% complete (PIT, Radio, etc) to get it flashed back to stock - Where on earth do I get this damn firmware? The 600+ MB ones i've already downloaded only have the single MD5.sum file for PDA... What the hell am I doing wrong?!??
PLEASE HELP!!

If you extract the MD5 file you'll find that everything is already there. All you need would be the pit (Partition Information Table) for your exact device.
Try to contact VisualOddity. He encountered problems with his T869 and most likely would have the files you need or atleast point you to the correct location.

Can anyone help me, I need to know how much GT-p3110 is compatible with GT-3113...?
I have a need for a .opt & .pit file, for GT-p3113 8gb. I have tried other forums, but with no luck in getting a verification email from them yet, as this process has been a couple of days and still waiting. My efforts are not at an all loss, as I have found my answers there, just not able to communicate with other members there, so...?
I have found this .pit file here, and this post has mentioned that is was working on an 8gb device, but just how compatible is this .pit file...???
Here is that .pit file by the way.

Would like a bump, as I am in need of this pit file as well.
What do you need this for exactly...?
Can you just find a Stock Rom, for your device and start from there...?
Again, what is the need for a .pit file..., there may be another work around, by just installing a Stock Rom and then re-root...
Sent from my GT-P3113 using XDA Premium HD app
I've been planning on gathering enough files to make a completely full system recovery in case I mess up my GP-P3110 really bad.
I have finally encountered the factory firmware for my gTab which is has the ZTO CSC but what I really had in mind was to be prepared for even the hard bricks. When it comes to my Galaxy S GT-I9000B all I need is the original fimrware (which I already have for the gTab) and a .pit file, but I have nothing else besides the original firmware for my gTab.
I came across this page (http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-tab-2-7-0-p3110-root-clockworkmod-recovery-96473/) where there seems to be the .pit file for the P3110, but I'm not sure if it actually does the job. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, I was wondering what else I should have in order to bring my P3110 back from the dead, since someone said something about a .opt file also. What is it?
Thanks for the time!
My phone is not happy with me.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-T999V 16gb on Wind Mobile (Canada).
I can only get it to boot to download mode. I can not reflash recovery. All attempts have failed.
I suspect I have a corrupt partition file.
I know playing with PIT files are a last resort, and I am now there.
I have just paid a local store $35 dollars, and they can't do anything with my phone. (I suspect they too are trying to track down the appropriate PIT file)
I have done a ton of searching, but have not had any luck.
Can anyone point me to the sgh-t999v 16gb pit file?
Thanks a ton!
:fingers-crossed:

If you have a T999V and are willing to help out, please see this post

It has some very easy instructions on how you can create a .pit file from your phone.
Thanks.

Which version of odin are you using? You don't have a mac do you?
Download the actual firmware for your phone from the official Samsung website. sammobile.com. Don't be downloading stock firmware from file hosts, or dropbox. You need to register for free on the official sammobile.com and then attempt to download your firmware. The firmware is a large file, so make sure to have good WiF/data connection. And yes, make sure you're using the latest version of Odin. Good luck!
I have a SM-G530T. What I need is the PIT file for this model of Galaxy Grand Prime.
Its in a bootloop at the logo screen. When trying to fix in odin using the stock rom 5.1.1
I get the error message "Fail" in Odin at the system.img.ext4 stage.
Ive been looking for days for the download file. Google lists sites that have it but cant find it on their sites.
Could someone help or maybe suggest another way to fix my phone.
I truly appreciate your time.

although this is not your model, these guys seem helpful in finding some pits.
also, this guy seems to know how to pull it. if you could find someone currently posting with your model, maybe you could sweet talk them into pulling it for you
thank you
