samsung infuse wont boot at all

i was using my phonen normally two days ago and the phone just froze and since then it boots to samsung logo then shuts off, if i put it cable all it does is it shows the little circle like trying to charge but never makes it to the charging battery. it doesnt boot into cwm and doesnt go into download mode, please i need help since i am on vacation and i need my infuse to take pictures please help
odin wont recognize it or heimdall. the computer doesnt recognize it at all either

Try one click unbrick. Don't have a link but Google it. Worked for me.

You didn't read the instructions clearly enough. You need to install samsung Kies to get drivers

i understand perfectly what you are saying but is not a driver issue. i plug in the phone and goes into a charging mode but then reboots and doesnt either charge or boots. when i dont plug the usb is just at the samsung screen. the phone doesnt boot far enough for the computer to recognize the usb

If can, U install driver manually and try with Odin again.

It may be a faulty power button. Does it show the samsung logo for a few seconds, then reboots into the samsung logo? What does it do when you try to enter download mode?

Try every usb port if u haven't already. When I was soft bricked, my computer would not recognize the phone on 3 out of 4 usb port but the last one finally did recognize it.
Also, are u sure ur trying the correct way to get it into download mode? By taking battery out, plugging into computer while holding volume keys. Been awhile since I had to go to download mode but I believe those r the steps.
I think u should b able to get it into download mode and connect to pc if ur seeing the Samsung logo bc that means it isn't hard bricked. Again, I'm not 100% sure on this but that's my understanding.

no i can not. it is impossible for me to go into download mode. ive tried every single thing. taking battery out and plug in usb and hold both buttons down. ive tried everything . it just doesnt wanna go into download mode or boot. it doesnt even go to charging. it shows the spinning ball and then it restarts so show the spinning ball again

thats exactly what it does. it shows the samsung logo for lik 2 seconds then reboots again into samsung logo. as soon as i put the battery in the phone turns on itself without me pressing anything or the phone being plugged into anything

omg thank you so much ! i slapped your thanks button ! it was the power button. i smacked the ish out of it. blew into wet and wet it and it booted up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is the power button indeed. Look around in the past threads; there are many who have your same problem and have found someone to fix it.
It was also suggested to open it up and clean the contacts with compressed air.
Edit: violence tends to solve things after all haha

Infuse 4g keeps booting to cwm v6.0.1.1 Solved!

Can someone Please help me? I have been flashing roms onto my infuse from stock to infused to doctorz rom then cm7 then cm9. All worked fine. Then when I tried to flash the cm10 with the gapps jb it boots up the samsung logo then goes straight into cwm-based Recovery v6.0.1.1 I have read previous threads saying to hold vol up and down while cord pluged into pc and plug in battery to get to download mode. I can not get my infuse to go to download mode, it just keeps going to cwm. I have installed kies and hemidall on my pc and I still cannot get to download mode. Is my pc recognizing my phone? My phone stays on when I unplug my battery so I assume the usb is working. Can someone please help me out of this mess??? Please!

I flashed the [ROM][JellyBean][4.1.1]Unofficial CM10 - Updated CM10 8/11 Butter - MTD!! With the JB Gapps.

Do you have an external sdcard in the phone? If you do take it out and try to reflash.

To get to download mode, you have to hold vol. up + vol. down + power, you left out the power button in your process, otherwise your good to go.
EDIT: Sorry - was on 4 threads, a phone call, and a personal email at the same time - I'll be more careful next time !!

I usually pull the battery, plug in USB(both computer and phone), hold vol up+down, then put the battery back in. Boots to download every time. No power button.

I flashed it with out the sd card the first time and I have yet to put it back in since I have been having this problem. Also I just tried holding down both vol up & down buttons while holding the power, cord plugged to pc and then putting in the battery. All im getting is the samsung logo on for a few seconds off and then repeats that same sequence. Having bad luck here!

Try the way I said to download with the battery pull.

-Take out the battery and place it back.
-hold both vol buttons (no power button)
-plug it in
You should be able to get into download mode that way, if not then something strange is going on

I was having issues with battery drain with the 8/11 mtd cm10 so used this to get back to stock. Then flashed entropy kernel that is linked in that thread with sgs kernel flasher. Then flashed to uniporn. It all worked without issue so if you can get to download mode I suggest following this thread. Let us know what happens.

I just tried with out using the power button and I am still going to cwm. I have kies open while im doing this. Do I need to have hemidall up to get it go to download mode?

Thats my problem... I can not get my phone to go into download mode... I thought maybe one of the buttons isnt working but I can scroll up and down on the screen and select things so I guess their all working. I tried getting to download with kies and heimdall both up and still no luck... Is my phone bricked or is it somehow stuck in cwm?

Yes your right... It is strange! And I dont see any other way to get into download mode... I dont see may post where a person cant get to it but I cannot get download mode on my phone for some odd reason.

I've got the same problem, I've tried several different cables, computers, really frustrating

OK- you are getting good help here and I apologize for my incorrect earlier post as I was too preoccupied.
Andros11's instructions for download mode are correct. Kies, has been known to cause issues. As long as you have the phone drivers on your computer, you should uninstall Kies. You can get the drivers again if need be on Bigjoe's ISET.
I pull battery, connect usb then hold vol +/- and insert battery, do not let go of the 2 volume buttons until you see the download screen menu, at which time you will choose volume up.That is it- you should be in download mode. If you are wanting to use Heimdall, bring it up on your computer- there will be a box that after a few seconds will say connected- hit flash and wait for process to finish, about 10-15 seconds. You should be back to stock at that point. If you wish to go back to a custom ROM from there, you need to flash Entropy's Daily Driver. This is the Heimdall package I use and the daily driver is in post 2.

EDIT: Here is a video that may help - in it, they check the flash bootloader box, I would not suggest that the first time, only do this if you get a "rainbow" effect when in recovery mode, and then use great caution as a mis-flash of bootloaders will brick the phone.

Anyhow, I'm not sure why OP phone is not going into DL mode. It should.
DOWNLOAD MODE
Maybe USB connector on phone is dirty. Possible need a different data cord. Maybe try a different battery.
Use a jig if you have one.
However, since you mentioned, Pony. OP's solution would be to flash a cwm-gb kernel like zen or entropy - or flash zen tool kit and flash one of the gb kernel. Power off. Reboot and flash gb kernel again. This may break cmw 6.xxx or 5.xxx recovery loop. Then wipe and start over.

no. the phone's dl mode is independent of your pc drivers. connecting the phone after it goes into dl mode, however, will depend on pc drivers

I am in a state of fear, fear that if i turn off my phone and turn it back on it wil go straight into emergency mode.
Its very wierd,my pc running on windows 7 doesnt recognise my phone(all drivers are intact and installed) in both emergency mode and booted mode and even when the phone is off and i plug in usb,the yellow screen of emergency just pops up. Also i cant boot my phone cause one touch at the power button and yellow screen pops up. The good news though is,after countless attempt at taking out battery then inserting it again and trying to power on,the phone wil boot normaly again. And one more wierd thing is, if wen inserting the usb,the emergency screen doesnt pop up(happens rarely) but lg logo does,then my laptop recognises my phone,and in this way i change my rom from OpenOptimus 2.2.01 to stock v2.3 using kdz updater. Right now its booted and runing normaly except for usb mass storage mode and usb tethering(cuz my laptop doesnt recognize my phone)

Let's try and go through the options.
Was it always like this with the yellow screen? WHat did you do to get it there?
Try a reset in settings manually. This will bring it back to brand new state.
Hopefully we will be able to resolve this.

Wel i am nt realy sure how and wen the problem started.
As far as i remembered my phone had the folowing.
1. Cmw recovry(from rom manager)
2. Link2sd wit 500 mb ext2 partition in sd card.
3. Open optimus rom 2.2.02
4. Set cpu to enhance gaming.
And as far as i remember, the problem started wen i tried to boot into cmw recovery.

Try this,
Switch off the phone then,turn on the phone pressing and holding Power + Home + Down volume key at the same time (for five seconds), the phone will turn on and perform factory reset immediately.

Maybe, it is a hardware issue. The phone being physically broken? Because if the prob persists even after a reset and a flash, well I am a bit unsure.

Could it be the bootloader?and if so, is there a way to fix it back to factory setting? Cuz i dnt think it wil boot at all if its hardware problem.

Anyway, it could be a small hardware issue like disconnected wire or broken circuit or somthing.
You could try and re-lock the bootloader.

definitely hardware failure coz my ancient z71 acting almost juz like that before

HELP! Did I brick my device?

So, I was attempting to flash Omega ROM, but the wifi wasn't working. Long story short I ended up in the wrong thread and the suggestion was to factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache/fix permissions, then format everything but the external SD card. Now all I get is the Galaxy Note 10.1 intro screen, and the "Download" mode when pressing the power and volume down key, which just keeps saying "Downloading, do not turn off target" (Advice I'm guessing I should've paid attention to) Please help me out guys! I really hope I didn't just make a $340 paper-weight :crying::crying::crying:
Update: Was able to get into recovery, should be fine, thanks guys!

You are fine... Just locate the back to stock Odin files... That should fix you up...

I can't do anything except watch the Note 10.1 logo and the "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!" screen.

Also the device isn't recognized by my computer, and I can't get back into recovery mode. Really freaking out here!

Thought you said you could get into recovery?
Your computer shouldnt "detect" when its plugged in AND in download mode,
Odin SHOULD though - should say "COM 1" or something to that effect

Flash a stock rom on it through ODIN, you formatted everything and have no rom...
ODIN should be able to detect when in download mode, if not then re-install the samsung device drivers.... Don't leave it turned on too long or you won't have sufficient juice in your battery to flash.... I would suggest holding down power button for 10 seconds and shutting off completely, plugging in and waiting til you are certain you have more than 50% power...

[Q] Stuck in BOOTLOOP

Hello guys am using Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus..
Today while using my phone it got switched off automatically.
After that when i tried to turn it on only Samsung Logo Comes n cel starts vibrating and screen goes off....
Even i tried to go in Download Mode & Recovery Mode..after 2-3 seconds it it starts vibrating and screen goes off (so am not able to do anything)..
Help Me am really stuck over here..
Seems it 1st case like this..
Dnt knw actually wheather to call it bootloop or what..

when you put the battery the phone auto turns on?
when it reboots it vibrates everytime?

Connect your phone to charger once it vibrates for the first time when you boot into recovery mode.
And do you have root access?

2 years passed... this brings some memories
yeah basically your power button is broken, just think about it. Think that your power button is always being pressed, that explains why it keeps rebooting and it autoboots. Just go to a service to request button change, shouldn't be expensive. Or you could try inspecting it yourself, maybe just some dust got in (usually its dirty there)

I did all you mentioned above about power key and found it perfectly working.
After checking it the phone doesn't start itself.
But when i start it stuck in the first screen with yellow triangle for some time then it power Off and start automatically repeating the same steps.
I went to recovery mode and made factory rest and wiped every thing
and when trying to flash CWM.md5.trebon it say
Installation aborted
Then i tried another version of CWM using Odin it passed successfully
But when it reboot it stuck again
What can i do

buddy, you can try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2426426
you should to whatever you can so you flash stock using odin, by stock i mean EVERYTHING including bootloader, recovery etc.
if odin gives you error, try to find out if its because of your phone or your pc, as odin tends to give a lot of errors based on drivers and usb ports.
in the case neither a full wipe on the system and all partition works, its totally a hardware issue.
honestly im pretty sure now that its a hardware thing, but the least i can do is to make you try the full wipe
edit: forgot to tell you about the power button.
if you say it didnt autobooted after checking it still could be the button, as when you powered the device up you still used the button which probably got stuck again and continued his buggy purpose.
to fix that , you should follow something like this www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=3Glllc7bEJs but specifically for the ace plus. I dont know if its connected or soldiered because i no longer have the device so cant help you here
