Hi All.
I am running on a version of CM 10 - specifically Vincom's Superlite.
Love the ROM but I have a recurring issue that I cannot solve.
I am using the stock Camera app (at least, the stock that comes with Superlite ROM) .
When I open the camera and then try to select the Video Camera, I get the following message "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped."
And then the app crashes.
I tried reformatting the internal SD card but this didnt solve it. I reflashed my Nanroid and the problem went away, but then came back after about a week of usage.
Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

Hi,
Today I tried to take a picture and the camera application froze.
I tried force-closing it and trying again but it froze again. I rebooted the phone and tried again and it froze again.
I tried switching from the Eagleblood ROM I was using to Sense-o-Maniac v1.49 Beta and dumping all of my application data and cache. Now instead of just freezing when I try and use the camera is restarts the phone.
I loaded up an AOSP backup I had saved and tried the AOSP camera application, this also crashed.
I've now reinstalled Sense-O-Maniac v1.49 Beta and the camera still doesn't work.
If I use the mirror application and the flashlight work, but I can't use camera/camcorder or any barcode scanners.
Is my camera just broken? Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks,
ANkh
Okay, I'll take the lack of a response to be an agreement that my phone is broken in a way that software cannot resolve and it needs to be sent back to HTC.
How can I tell which RUU version I should install? I've attached my software version information to this post.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have been running nightlies of CM9. My camera was working yesterday, I know for a fact, but today any time I open it, I get the message "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped.
I flashed the RC2 thinking that would fix it, but I'm still getting the same message. I even used Odin to flash back to stock and I get the message "camera has failed" I am running touch recovery and I ave wiped system and data and everything multiple times.
Is this potentially a hardware problem?
yes
Hi there,
I am facing some problem with my camera flash. every time I put it on and then take a pic, then my camera get crashed. I am currently on 2.3.5. Anyone else facing same problem or does anyone have any solution for it, then kindly help..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TIA
I have the same issue on the same version. At some point the flash doesn't work (even with a flashlight app) and when using the camera the flash doesn't come on and the app crashes. I haven't figured out when or why it happens though.. A reboot fixes the problem for a while but at some point the flash stops responding again.
Hm
1. Try another Kernel or
2. If you are using a custom rom you could try to flash it again. Remember to do a Backup and do a factory Reset.
Most of times reflashing a custom rom fixes most of the bugs.
Can anyone help me figure this out? I successfully flashed CM11: cm-11-20131214-NIGHTLY-d2vzw.zip
Problem is that i can't get SMS to work at all. Native messenger just force closes. Hangouts forcecloses, Handscent, same, GoSMS pro same...
Any fixes?
Did you clean flash (wipe all partitions)?

I have the same problem on my SGS2 i9100, I've done clean flash, still isn't working.
As for the OP question, gapps version did you flash? I've found the "mini modular package" works the best and causes the least FCs.
I've heard/seen nothing but problems with those CM11 nightlies. You guys might want to consider one of the AOSP roms til CM gets their s**t together. I'm on Gummy and have zero issues.
CM11 Sending SMS Problem solved!
I was also have the same problem, not able to send SMS after replacing the stock rom with cm11. After lot of googling also I was not able to correct the problem. Attempt Changing SMSC from 00 also failed. Then I found the root cause, that is while flashing cm11 I wiped everything including internal memory that only created the problem. Hence again I flashed stock rom and changed the SMS message center number and again I flashed CM11 this time without wiping internal memory. Now SMS is working!!!
I had been running CM 10.2 for a while. Last night did a factory reset/wipe cache/dalvik and installed latest CM11 snapshot (M12). Stock camera app was crashing upon startup ("Unfortunately, camera has stopped."). Tried using 2 other camera apps (Google camera and open camera) and neither worked as well. Then tried flashing SlimKat and had the same problem. Already tried reflashing, rebooting, etc. multiple times. Anyone know why this is happening or have a fix?
I am using ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.5.1, if that matters.
Also, already tried the CMFix thing from the play store, if anyone is planning on suggesting that, and it didn't work.
Also, I had unsuccesfully tried using the fix posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/themes-apps/17-fixed-camera-app-lib-cm-aosp-roms-t2505973 not realizing it was meant for the international version. Has that ****ed me over? I have since done a clean reflash of CM11
Update: Downgraded to CM 10.2. Camera does not even work here now! Gives the error, "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped working". Please help
