[APP][2.2+] Frappè -> App discovery made easy - Android Apps and Games

Hi everyone
we released a new app discovery tool called Frappè. You can get it at frappe.cc or on Google play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=es.tid.frappe
It is based on new Machine Learning technology that tries to learn what apps you might find interesting based on the apps you have installed and use. We believe that this will make it stand out in the rather crowded field of app recommenders.
We try to tailor the recommendations based on the current context like time of the day, location etc. We are also planning some nice features for the coming release so stay tuned.
Try it out and let us know what you think of Frappè
Forgot to mention it's free and ad free,
cheers
the Frappè team

[APP] [1.5+] Quiz/Treasure hunt app, uni app project

Hi
A bit about me:
I've just started uni to do software engineering and after the first week of "bonding" and stuff, we've been put into groups of 6 to develop an android app and market it. We're students of the Preston campus of the university of central Lancashire aged 18. My group has next to no programming experience, with only me having done anything before although it's mostly been python, I also did some C++.
I've been on XDA for a few years, since I got my first android (a HTC Desire HD, now on a galaxy note) and have mostly been a lurker, not really saying a huge amount because I don't want to get in the way of developers and annoy people, but also because I don't know a huge amount about android, although I have provided some logcats and advice where I knew the answer and could help. I often also use alpha or beta releases as a daily driver as I just text a little and love fiddling with the android operating system.
Our task:
Our first task as a group is to create a android based quiz-type app that will eventually double up as a GPS located treasure hunt app. We have to build this in appinventor as few of us know a programming language and it's a good introduction in how a program is built up and the logic behind it. The app is built up over a few weeks, as we learn how to do different things. It starts as a quiz app with hard coded questions, then we have to develop it into a quiz app that uses a server to get questions and finally into a treasure hunt that uses GPS locations and questions to lead us around the city of Preston to get points.
All throughout the 4 weeks we have to do it, we gain points which transfer into the grade we will get for this module of the course.
The catch:
During these 4 weeks, we have to market our app and our brand, to try "sell" our app and get it out there. As I'm the programmer of the group, mainly building the app, I'm not so involved in this process but I thought I'd ask on here for feedback and to ask you to help us out.
What I'm asking:
So, please will you go follow us on twitter and retweet us, spread the word on facebook about us and our app and (when it finally gets put up) view our "viral" YouTube video.
Go to our website if you want to download our app and have a look, any feedback would be fantastic, thanks. It won't be up for a few days, but if you can please follow us on twitter and facebook for now and when it's uploaded we'll update everyone.

[APP] intoLeague - free mobile app to search live League of Legends games

Hello guys! I'd like you to present my newest mobile app! It's called intoLeague. It's a free mobile app that provides information about live League of Legends games in almost any region. Just search for a summoner and you can see all the information about the match he is playing: champion selections, premade summoners, current leagues, runes, masteries...and more information we'll be adding in the future! Here are two screenshots for you to check them out.

For those who have an iOs device, the app is ready for that OS already, but I still don't have the money to pay for the developer license, as soon as I get it it'll be available for iOs as well. For WP users, I'll release it very shortly (at the end of January probably when I finish my exams).
The backend (the connection to the LoL servers) is still a little bit unstable, I've been monitoring it for some weeks with few people and everything went OK, but I'll still be monitoring it closely while you use it so that everything works properly.
For those who are curious, the app is built using HTML5, CSS3 and JS, compiled using phonegap. The backend is made in Java using the Play framework. If you have any question, feel free to ask it here!
Please spread the word! I'd be truly, truly appreciated
You can download it at intoleague.com
Or directly in the play store: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.novikk.intoleague

[NEW APP][2.1+] 4 Months in Android Dev, Too much? or Fine?

Hello Guys,
After doing app re-skin for a while, i decided to stop and do some real things instead. I've started learning android programming for the last 4 months. I used Lynda.com, Team Tree House, Android Hive as learning resources and a lot (i mean a lot of) stack overflow threads! I created the app using Parse.com as BaaS (Backend as a Service) It's a great service to get your app off the group. I still don't have users to test it's performance but i hope it will do.
The app i created Called FoxyKards, It's a simple app where you can discover Life hacks, tips and tricks the easy way. Filter them by categories, places and supplies. Add to favorites and comment. There are a lot of amazing hacks on the internet some works perfectly and some didn't work at all! I built the app with one reason: to make the maximum use of these tips in your everyday life, to solve problems the smart way and to improve your life, that's why i've added the filters (categories, places,....).
In addition to the android app i created a website for it and an admin panel using Node js / express js.
I hope that you check it out, it's on the playstore and if you like it, it would be nice to see a review/feedback from you.
Playstore Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.handykards.lifehacks
Website Link: http://www.foxykards.com
What i'm doing now:
I'm filtering through a large list of life hacks and adding them in daily basis.
I'm learning to market the app via social media website
App Store Search Optimization (ASO)
App indexing
What i'm planning to do next:
Learning the most from users.
Adding a really smart feature i've thinking of and the reason i started android dev. The feature is when a user check-in to a place such as restaurant, gas station, airport ... via foursquare or other service, the app push a notification with tips and tricks you can use in that place.
I'am using Parse in one of my apps! Great platform.
I've downloaded the app. Check your inbox i sent u a message!
Great start!

Open source app development

Hi guys.. first of all i'm new to android dev and this forum. so excuse me for any mistake.. The reason im posting here is i had an idea for an app i always felt need about and couldnt find on play store. I call it irevise.
Its a simple notes making app for students(yes there are many) but with a change. A homescreen widget with additional features to make it easy and convenient to revise/memorise the study material. am studying myself and so had started this project.. have got it into a decent app as of now for my use but there are many additional features to be added, and due to lack of time/expertise/funds i may never complete them all.. so came up with the idea of opensource. Ive released it under Apache license 2.0 on sourceforge. sourceforge.net/projects/irevise/
Invite you all to come and develop together to make this into a cool app
Am providing brief info below for anyone intrested..
Description
Well we all sweat trying to learn those nasty chemical formulae, or the weird biological names or maybe some antonyms and synonyms.Whatever it is anything which can make us learn our books better is just a boon. And when it happens automatically, its just amazing. This little appdoes exactly that. Now quickly make your own small notes for things you feel are difficult to learn.Save in the tiny I revise app,and add the widget. And it makes the notes available on your home screen so they cross your eyes every time you unlock your phone. And they get changed automatically so you get them all... Simple huh? Yes but very effective!! And with so many exciting features lined up it could end up as a really awesum tool.. So why waiting, lets code it !!
Features
Quick Revision Tool For students
Supports android 2.3+
Homescreen Widget (Auto Updating)
Backup/Restore Notes (to be added )
Share Notes (to be added)
Study Circle (to Be added)
Inviting everyone to work on the features mentioned and any extras which may be useful.. Also haven't been able to publish on play store as my old account was suspended by google(dunno why) and i dont have an additional card.. so apk also available there only...
its a nice oppurtunity especially for newbies like me to improve our sills, work as a team and get a useful app built in the process.. the biggies can always practice and show off their skills too

[New] Block coding platform that connect every web and device! :)

Hi, XDA!
I am a developer and coding educator.
As I was teaching, I received various feedback from school teachers, students, parents, and private tutors.
Based on that, I decided to develop and educate myself
As a result I launch app called "Commoncoding Builder"
It's simple. It's based on block coding application.
** If you know a coding program called 'Scratch'
you will be able to understand how to use it more easily.
my app can be run by both mobile devices and PCs.
Now, if you are reading this on your smart phone,
We recommend you enter Google Play Store and download it now!!
---> Search for " commoncoding " or " commoncoding builder " on Google Play Store
What if you could create your own alarm application this morning that woke you up?
What if you could create the Flash-Light app that you used to find something in the dark last night?
Just 90 seconds, you can build it!
I'd like to hear your diverse opinions.
Whether that's good or bad, or if you want something added, something doesn't run..etc...
Thank you :good:
good
hi
nice! I support you
