Stock JB gallery possible? - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Razr HD owners,
I was wondering if it is possible to install/use the stock Google Gallery app on this phone with an otherwise (rooted) stock Moto ROM? I'm thinking about switching from my Razr i because of the better display and camera, but I really would like to be able to get stock Google apps - since for example syncing the Picasa/Google+ galleries does not work with the Moto Gallery app.
Would be nice if anybody could give me a heads up.
Regards,
Hendrik

Stock Messaging App

Hi,
I have stock GB on my brother's droid X and was wanting to root and install a custom rom on it, either Liberty or Apex. He really wants the stock messaging app that shows all his messages from various accounts (Facebook, Email, Gmail, etc.) So I was wondering if I could put that app back on for him or if anyone knows of anything similar to that app. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
you'll have to stick with a blurred rom. Sensei Mod v3 and DarkslideX come to mind. I think Vortex also has that messaging app but I can't be certain since I never use it.
Liberty3 has an option where you can replace a ton of the AOSP apps with Blur apps, messaging included.

[Q] How do I get stock system apps on here?

The 4.2 camera seems to be a popular mod, but how do I make AOSP Messaging or the Dialer work on the RAZR HD? Maybe even the stock launcher? It seems more than copying and pasting an apk.
Anyone?

[MOD REQUEST] Stock Google Gallery WITHOUT the swipe to delete functionality

hello there
I've hated the integration of Google Gallery + Camera ever since JB was released!!!
the main reason is that the Gallery app has a "swipe to delete functionality" within the filmstrip view: this feature might be loved by many - I understand that - but it's extremely hated by me !
now here goes the dilemma... I hate the stock Google Gallery and want to replace it with QuickPic or whatever BUT I am soo in to the stock Camera !!!!
back in the ICS days, the camera.apk was separated (sadly I tried pushing the ICS camera.apk to JB but I kept getting FC)
so what I want is the one of the following:
- Find a way to MOD the GoogleGallery.apk in order to completely disable that ugly swipe to delete freak
OR
- Find a way to separate the Camera from the Gallery
OR
- Find a way to make the ICS work on JB 4.2.2 without FC (plz don't suggest to install that ICS Camera app from the market coz it doesn't work as it should be and the photos resolution is too low and it's full of ads / notification push ads...
Thanks in advance for anyone who is able to solve this dilemma for me
anyone????
not even a suggestion???

[Q] Difference between Verizon Gallery app and stock?

What are the differences between the Gallery app on the Verizon version vs a plain HTC edition?
The VZW Gallery app has the Verizon cloud icon right on the main screen and I have no desire to use it. Is there any way to remove it?
I find the automatic effects at the top of each section extremely annoying and can't find a way to turn it off. What is worse is that I want to use the special editing abilities that come with the Duo Camera so I think I am stuck with this gallery as no 3rd party gallery apps have those features.

Disable Verizon cloud in apps. I disabled it and I don't have the Verizon cloud icon in my gallery.

[Q] Moto G Assist, Camera & Gallery for AOSP/CM

Hey guys,
I searched the web and haven't found much. What's really keeping me from going to a custom rom - be it GPE/AOSP (like Paranoid Android) or CM-Based - are those 3 features (Moto Assist, Camera, Gallery - even Radio FM). Sadly I only found negative evidence.
Are there any apks of those apps out there that work 100% on AOSP/CM-based roms? Or alternatives that have the same simplicity of design and functions?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

Alternatives :
1. Assist - Quiet hours in various roms or profiles option.
2. Camera - In my opinion, the AOSP camera is much better than the stock camera application. The only thing missing is slow motion recording.
3. Gallery - There are many gallery applications available on the play store.
4. FM Radio - All of the roms I have flashed till now had a FM Radio app. And it also allows you to play the audio via the external speaker.

Thanks for answering mate, much appreciated.
1. Main feature I use from Assist is that the phone goes quiet during an calendar appointment and auto replies to favorite calls (family). Can't find a similar app that just does that and/or doesn't have a bulky, ugly interface.
2. agreed, but Google Camera doesn't support panorama nor slow motion + HDR on the Moto G
3. tried a few. Again I like the simple, unbulky Moto Gallery with sidebar and autohide status bar feature.
Did no one ever try to port those 3 apps? :/ I can't be the only one wondering/asking this.

1. No that feature is not there in AOSP ROMs.
2. I'm taking about the AOSP camera and not the Google camera. In the AOSP camera we have panaroma and HDR. The only thing missing is the slow motion capture.
3. If you want simplicity then the AOSP gallery is good. The only thing not available is the sidebar.

I don't remember if it does the auto-SMS, but Llama (FOSS, on the Play Store) can certainly use the calendar plus a whole bunch of other conditions to silence the phone, change "profiles" (enabling things like different ringtones at home and work, or silencing/changing some notification with the LlamaTones ringtone selector) and generally trigger actions.

Exactly same situation here. I'm torn between staying stock and going CM but loosing these three apps.
Moto camera and gallery apps are absolutely the best around. AOSP gallery is outdated and downright ugly. Also, there is no gallery app that performs nearly as smooth as moto gallery.
It shouldn't be THAT hard to port these apks, right?
I'm not giving up
Moto G Camera App - don't know if it's CM only - (zip also seems to include Gallery)
Found a Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2614700
"dhacker archieved to get the native moto g camera app working --> loki.rombitch.com/Devs/Dhacker29/MotoCamera442.zip"
Moto G Assist, apparently only for CM 11 (maybe CM based also, maybe PA, don't know)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52202333
I've no way to check these since I haven't rooted my phone.
Maybe someone wants to try and report back. Would be very appreciated.
