Hi
Suddenly I don't have any sound through the rear and ear speakers and also through the earphones connection. It also has no sound going through the mic. I guess is a software problem.
I got all the s-off, root .... process to cook a new firmaware (universal 3.33) and a new RUU (for sensation xe with beats audio). No success at all, I still don't have any sound coming in or out.
For God sake it must be a software problem, drivers or whatsoever..... Any suggestion?
Thanks!
Did you wipe dalvik and cache and fix permission before installing ROM? These 3 are extremely crucial. Or if you used a wrong file it might happen too

I did wipe them. About permission, i don't really know what you mean, but guess I did well coz I followed all the steps in the guide. The file I used for the firmware was 3.33 universal, should match the ROM I already instaled(also with its radio).
Any idea what happened?
Thanks

Hi, I'm getting random reboots, unfortunately. I do not believe it is rom related, I've tried 3 so far. Could this be related to cwm or my radio or my sd card? Any other sensation users experiencing the same, regardless of rom? Yes, search is my friend, and I'm investigating, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Have you already did factory wipe via CWM, wipe cache, wipe Dalvik and format /system before you flash a new ROM? If this doesn't help, already flashed a new radio?
Well, like I said I've tried three roms. I use Mike's superwipe script each time. I think I changed the radio a while back yes... suggest changing again?
same issue
Hey i had the same issue. I was wondering if it was rom or radio. Coz i had tried 3 roms. Untill then i realized i had changed the radio before. So i flashed radio 10.58 version nd havent seen a random reboot after tht. Hope i helped.

Hi,
Random reboots are more likely to be caused by the kernel you are using.
What ROM/kernel combinations have you been trying?
I just having weird problem since yesterday. First it just shut down by it self yesterday & today sudden reboot 1 time after i download & run pixel check n fix ;'(
I hope its just a glitch!

I have Revolution Hd installed and now my speakerphone will not work. The speaker itself works on ringtones and music, its just when I put a call on speaker it doesn't work. Does anybody have any ideas as to what could be causing this.

Hi,
What ARHD are you using?
Did you upgrade or fresh install?
Did you super wipe?
Did you wipe cache and dalvik?
What kernel are you using?
Did your speaker phone work on your last ROM?
If you want some help, you need to give a bit more background information.

Sorry about the vagueness, I am running the latest version 6.1.3 with sense 3.0. I also used the swipe tool provided by Mr.1986. Cache and Dalvik both wiped. I was running coredroid previously and speakerphone was working fine. I am also using stock kernal provided with the Rom.

Hi,
Do you mean ARHD 3.6.3 XE?
If it was working on your previous ROM,then it's not a problem with the ROM itself.
No one has reported such a problem before.
My best suggestion is re-download the ROM,do a MD5 checksum,and re-install after a complete super wipe.
If it persists, then you are probably looking at an hardware issue.
Hello all - first post on this website (i know i am probably in the wrong spot, go easy on me
Anyway, I have a rooted S3 for vzw and installed cyanogenmod 10 and have been getting these weird problems with my audio, like it sounds muffled and i can't hear what the other person is saying. But then when i go to play a song it does the same thing. Not sure what it is or how to fix it, has anyone else had this problem? How can it be fixed? It is the 11/7 nightly that I downloaded...thank you sooooo much!

You may want to download the ROM again and make sure it's not corrupt. Sometimes downloads can get corrupted, although its rare. The next step would be sure to due a wipe data / factory reset in Clocwork Mod. I also manually wipe cache, data, system in mounts and storage(ClockworkMod), and the dalvik cache in the Advanced menu(Clockwork Mod). This will erase the ROM but you'll still have your pictures and everything on your SD card. Then install the ROM and Google Apps. You'll be starting from scratch this way and it may solve your problem. I'm running the 11-07 CM10 Nightly and do not have the audio problem your having.
i installed this rom yesterday http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240592. i really like this but i recognized the mic doesn't work. anyone can help me?
ps. the mic worked with other roms.

S-ON unlocked bootloader with htcdev

Firstly I tried svhd and had no issue with the mic. Do u mean mic doesn't work with video recording or during calls?
Cheers

yes i do.
That's a very old version of 4ext, if u intend to upgrade it just head over to 4ext.net and download the apk
Back to your issue. So the mic problem, does it happen sometimes when or all the the time?
Does it occurred when recording?

ok. i upgraded 4ext.
it happens all time inclusion recording.
I highly doubt that it is a rom related problem. Try re-flashing.
Not very sure what could be the root of your problem but usually I would try to wipe dalvik and cache first to see if it makes any different, if not then a re-flash "usually" fixes it.
Cheers

SOLVED. i upgraded 4ext recovery and i did several changes(not important) durng installing. AND THE PROBLEM GONE :good::laugh:
thanx for everyone who helped me
Hi! I have flashed ViperS 5 on my Sensation and I'm very happy with the ROM. The only thing is that every time I try to connect something to my headphone jack, no matter if it's low-end earbuds, high-end headphones or just an AUX-cable, the phone reboots. I tried to reintsall the ROM over the one I already have with no luck. I then tried to wipe the phone, and then flash the ROM again. It worked for a while, but then, the problem appeared again. Do you have any clue on what's the problem?
A guy told me I should re-flash the kernel on top of the installed ROM with VKF (Venom Kernel Flasher), so I tried this. I connected my phone to my computer through USB and turned on USB Debugging. I chose to install the kernel and pressed start. The software said it was successfully connected, but failed to push the kernel-modules to my device. I also tried to push the files to the phone from the fastboot-menu in the bootloader, but with no luck.
How should I fix the problem? If someone have a flashable .zip-file with the ViperS 5-kernel, I would be glad if you could provide me the link. Is it any other way I can "install" or "flash" the kernel-modules?
If re-flashing the kernel is the only option to fix the problem, please tell me. If it isn't, in what way can I fix the reboot-problem?
Are you S-on or s-off? If you're S-On try flashing the ROM again with full wipe with smartflash enabled. If ROM doesn't boot try extracting boot.img from the ROM zip and flash manually through adb with command fastboot flash boot boot.img . First of all try the wizdroid app and see if it fix the headphones issue.

I'm S-OFF, so I don't think the problem lays there, but I'll check out the Wizdroid-app
S-off but locked bootloader by any chance? I had a problem with flashing splash screen as well with locked bootloader(but s-off)
Since Today i got the same issue. when pluggin my headphone in the sensation reboots and stuck in a bootloop until unplugging headset.
I flashed the Rom without full wipe but cleaned dalvik and cache. everyting works fine, and fast, except the headset.
Device: Z710e, S-OFF unlocked Bootloader
Headset: Monster Beats Audio urBeats
Any ideas or need further informations?
So I'm not the only one

Some minutes ago, i installed the "Audio_Crash_Test2" and now my headphone works.
But if i open the camera, the phone reboots.
Can nobody help here?
Just want to chime in here. I am having headphone problems too. Bluetooth headphones as well. I posted it in the official forum but like everything i post it went ignored other than one person giving the ol' "works for me, bro. dont know what to tell you. have a good day" routine.
Also, i could not find this "Audio_Crash_Test2" file. Google fails to bring up any results as well as a search in this forum... anyone got a link?
I have to say i have tried to replicate what yousay and it does not ever reboot my device. Maybe dead battery :S
What do you mean exactly? The way to install the "Audio crash Test" files?

No. It is not a dead battery. All i know is clearly other people are having this problem. i have reflashed this ROM 4 times. Full wipe every time. Before installing nay app or changing any settings i have tried both Bluetooth headset and wired headphone. I am very glad you dont have a problem. That's awesome and you are very lucky. But clearly other people do.
As far as the audio crash file. I am having trouble finding it. Google brings me no results and a search on the forum gets me no results either.

Its not just "Power Amp" if you change any settings about the headphones like equalizers and stuff it will cause random reboots and you will have to flash completely again
I playing music with xplore preview without headphone,, 1 minute music ago then I put headphone,, phone get restart and again, but I have recovery data cwm

I have. Checked and reboot upon taking a photo with flash on low battery will force a reboot. This also happened to me today whilst I had 14% on bat and plugged headphones in and was greeted with a reboot. I am pretty sure it has to be kernel related issue now and is not a Rom issue. Flashed back to viperS 3.1.4 and never got the issue so I cannot understand what's going on.
Cleared, thanks, just run recovery cwm then restore data only
