Smart Switch Update and Magisk

I am currently Rooted using Magisk on Stock 7.0. I tried checking for OTAs and I had an error that my OS is Modified and stuff. What I am worried of is if I use Smart Switch for PC to update my phone while rooted with Magisk, will it mess up phone? Or Will I just lose root?
I prefer Smart Switch because I won't be losing data rather than Manually flashing back to pure stock through Odin.
bump
You will just lose root.

If I do root my 955U, can I flash back my stock T-Mobile ROM without losing root?

Hey, all. As the title states, I am considering going through the root process with my new SM-G955U, but I want to be able to flash back to the stock T-Mobile ROM (without losing root) afterwards so I can just clean it up myself and remove some of the bloatware via ADB and Ti Backup. Is this a possibility at all?
Thanks for your time!

I don't think so unfortunately, but I might be wrong.
are your bootloader unlocked? In that case you might be able to change the active slot back to the other one using fastboot.
I've unlocked it just to flash to global but relocked afterwards. No root access either

Download same firmware with the OS version you want and make a clean flash. All data is going to be erased so prepare a backup first.
I mean without loosing data, how can I downgrade

I don't think there is any possible way, rather than taking back up of important data that is recoverable/movable/transferrable.
Ok
