Check remoplay.com for an alternative to remote control youtube videos from your smartphone.
- Easy pairing without pin codes
- Reusable links
- Up to four simultaneous connections
- Works in all browsers, no additional hardware or app

A great solution for those of you wanting to manage your music on your Android phone over Wifi from your PC. Musicbee can now treat a remote share as a virtual device. So install the Samba Filesharing app on your phone, Musicbee (the best freeware music app ever IMHO) on your PC and have fun. Musicbee is over at getmusicbee.com

the problem is, media database is not being updated when syncing.
I'd like to know if it's possible to route microphone audio input via the Transformer to a PC during an RDP session. For example, RDP into your PC, fire up an audio recorder on the PC, and see if you can get audio to record remotely.
One of you Transformer owners care to test this out?
TIA - Gunner
Question would be if there are any RDP apps that can do that.

I tested it with PocketCloud and 2XClient using RDP and both do not allow remote sound recording... not even in console mode.
Thanks. What about using the built-in RDP app that's pre-loaded on the Transformer?
I'm curious. What would you use it for?

I'd use it for dictating reports straight into my work PC via Dragon. This would be incredibly useful for me while out in the field, and would cut a step out of my work process. There currently is no useful voice-to-text dictation app available for Android (for dictating lengthy reports).
A stranger randomly pair video chat app (like Chatroulette or Omegle) is posted on Android Market. You need to download two apps named "MVChat" and "MVChatService" on Android Market and install Adobe Air to support them. The app supports both front (if the phone has) and back camera for video chat.
We also have a web-based app which could also chat with users using their mobile phones.
The website for web-based app is: mobile.makemychat.com
Detail instruction for our apps: mobile.makemychat.com/user_instruction.html
Hi all,
Recently i created a thread about some remote connections that were not really working out that well on the TF300..
Nobody gave me a response so i try it again ..
Somehow remote connections wont work properly on the TF300.
Unified remote and DLNA features wont work. Sometimes i can see my laptop and stream music to it but an hour later i have to reboot, restart apps, enable wifi disable, whatever to get it to work.
This problem is also in the unified remote app.
Now this can't be a problem on the tablet because my dad, with exactly the same tablet got exactly the same problems..
Come on XDA help me
Few things first....
My net app of Asus is crap... use bubble upnp
Don't use WiFi direct... it is not supported yet in jelly bean

So what do you think is the best app for DLNA playback ?
Bubble upnp

Upnplay : free from the market. Lousy interface, but fast and reliable. Has ability to have unlimited cache (=available memory) to load song and video listings.
I also often use J River Media Center (paid windows app) combined with Gizmo (free on market) on Android. That's the only solution which works fast enough with a very large (>100.000 songs) music collection. You need to leave your pc on and have JRiver running though, but it works great for all music, video & pictures that you manage on the pc through JRiver. Really, really fast.

i've been using similar apps like Skifta or twonky beam to serve videos from my tablet to my DLNA smart TV.
one limitation i realized is that they either only stream LOCAL files (on tablet), or stream from selected websites only.
is there any app that allows true mirroring of the tablet screen to my TV? i.e. there should be no restriction in the website i want to stream from.
i'm using HP touchpad on the latest CM nightly build.
TIA!
anyone knows?
I would like to know but as long as I've searched I didn't find anything that would mirror ur phone screen to TV, maybe vlc (the way it's fine one computers)
As for streaming any website it may be possible but no app as of now

seeing how Airplay is a huge success on apple devices, i'm confused why android doesn't offer a similar solution. still on the lookout for an app that can mirror anything that i stream from a website, from tablet to TV.
Imediashare is great. Not sure if it can do any website though..
