Releasing the initial version [RC1] of CyanogenMod for I9003 . This very early release (I could not complete the things I thought of completing before the release due to lack of time. Also will not be able to focus for quite some time), so not recomended for day to day use. Its only being released testing and further development. Download links are given below:

Installation Steps:
Using ODIN flash the following in Bootloader and PDA respectively:
1) Booloader (Froyo) : http://www.multiupload.com/3PDRKE80Y5
2) CWM and Kernel : http://www.multiupload.com/MVR3SDM9IE
Boot into recovery and select the following zip (from your sdcard, which should already be there ):
3) update-cm-7.1.0-GalaxySL-KANG-signed.zip
4) Now follow the same as above for this file
Audio Patch (must be installed after the above updates) : http://www.multiupload.com/U0R4UCQA4V
5) Reboot the phone. this would take some time (but should not take more than 5 mins)
Attach your "logcat" and "dmesg" here in case it is still not booting up.
By default GoogleApps are not included with CM. To install GoogleApps, use this:

P.S. This will format your phone and erase system and user data too.
As promised, I have also released the source code for other wonderful devs to contribute and take this forward. The source code can be found at: https://github.com/galaxyishere
I will not be able to focus much on further development in coming days, so request to all the devs to continue this work (there is still lot to achieve).
P.S.: Request devs to send me a PM with github details, so that I can add them to github to be able to make the changes as required.
Known Issues:
1) Wifi drivers loading and pairing works with manual ip, but no network access. Fixed by vivekkalady
2) Audio works, but DSP Manager not working
3) OpenGL issues, causing lags.
4) Video codes not identified in stock player. (Moboplayer works well).
5) Camera is not working
6) No boot animation and sound.
It is really not that easy as I thought it would be. Our device is really different than rest in the league
However, I am trying my best to fix the issues. Here is the list of things that are working and NOT working:
Working fine:
1) Making and Receiving calls (This is most important )
Partially Working:
1) SDCard (only one card in mounted [either external or internal])
2) Camera (Only back camera is working, Front is having issue)
3) Bluetooth working with some manual hacks (using adb shell )
4) Video player (Not supporting many format types as in stock)
Not Working:
1) WIFI not working
2) Video playback for most of the formats
Changelog (09/28/2011):
1) SD Cards are now working. (Swapped int & ext card)
2) Audio is woking.
3) Bluetooth is working.
4) Wifi drivers are loaded and pairing is working (but still not network access ).
Todo:
Need to fix the wifi network issue before my alpha release.
Video issues (due to this not able to calculate the Quadrant scores [its failing in testing for video codecs]

when i had this rom on my phone to test it finally died after 2 days with wifi and 3g on
my only issue with this rom (as with other CM9 ROMs for the sonic) is the camera does not work.

I downloaded your rom and have been testing it quite heavily since I installed it......so far I am impressed :good:
Now I did come across a couple of issues (bugs maybe) ...I will keep testing and post results
I did run the battery down from 100% down to 47% last night testing
1) My phone froze about 5 times to the point that I had to remove the battery and restart it ....(this maybe due to my testing but i thought id let you know)
2) I couldn't get any live wallpapers run properly (I downloaded 3 live ripple wallpapers to give it the SIII feel) and some apps would not run (skyvi being one of them) youtube etc are ok
3) I long press home screen to change wallpaper it gives 3 options (home ....lock....and ....home & lock) this is ok but when I select one of them I get (select wallpaper from ......and the selection box is blank but it looks like it gives 3 options (I see dividers ...these are blank as well ....If I press on one of the sections I get an error that reads Unfortunately touchwiz has stopped
4) I changed the theme from touchwiz to the system theme and it wouldn't change back to touchwiz ..I got an error saying theme was not compiled properly contact theme author
5) I ran a few internet tests......download and installs from play store super quick.......I ran browser tests this runs well but closed off on me a few times without warning

to change the theme back, you will have to download lcd density changer and change the density to 145dpi then change it to touchwiz, then once its done change the dpi back to 160

I am running the phone at it's normal pace (no changes to cpu) and still haven't found a solution to live wallpapers or normal wallpapers .....I can set a pic as wallpaper with no problem tho
Phone ...gps....3g.......bluetooth all seem to be working ok ...but wifi doesn't seem to work ...I will test this more

im not sure if it will work as my sonic is dead, but try changing the wallpaper from settings/system, I had the same problem with my galaxy Ace version,, and live wallpapers I think is a problem with cm9
Any way you could try to get the camera working? Its the only thing that has been holding me back from using this as my daily driver.

Do you know if this rom is compatible with U8655? It's sold on LatinAmerica as Y200. Currently, my phone got the screen cracked, but it was already rooted and with custom recovery installed, so when I get the new screen, I'll test it (previous backup , so I can get it back to stock, in case of failure)

Flashing ZCLPD is recommended as the ROM is based on it..
Nup I think its not mandatory to Install Chinese ZCLPD Version. If you are coming from ICS just wipe data & cache then flash it.
I have backup of ICS Mazel II, install it over that. Working great.
But Yes, If you are coming from Lower Version, I think one should install Chinese ZCLPD Version first to avail full feature of it.
For reverting Back to English Language, Just do as below:
1) Select left soft key
2) Choose language option( it will be in Chinese )
3) In first option, just drag down that & select english language.

First, I m Vikesh..so called it by my Name..
Now, I can feel not something new as I have used New Angeek ROM as well. but yeahh..It have smoothness better then any ICS ROM & my favourite Galaxy S3 Toggles animations while Dragging it down. Battery backup is as usual is Great. I haven't install any apps now, will revert back.
Have anybody notices after clicking on "call recording" options, nothing saved in Recording folder..??
Where does it save..?
Edit: Yes got it. Recording saves in Sound folder.
Played Temple 2 game, Lagged only one time when start. After that, No lag at all.. :good:

It's because we don't have a separate input source for real call recording. That's why we srt the input source to microphone and it only records your sound properly.

Yeah...I ported the rom from ZTE v970 which has 1Gb rom..it is just in that.actually it has 512 itself.

Bro is there option to set first sim or both sim to gsm & wcdma? As it was not there in previous miui roms? & till when will u fix wifi prob?

I suppose there is an option for choosing the first sim as gms & wcdma in engineering mode.regarding wifi,I am having that problem with the bugless rom by other developers also..So,I am thinking may be any body could test it for me

1.sd card mount problems after usb mount
2.wifi and BT and GPS toggles not working sometimes had to reboot ..
3.cam professional mode FC
4.opening facebook app hangs phone
5. 3G option missing but works in Engg mode
Tried project mod boost works well with MIUI but same problems as above
other than nice rom but we miss MIUI updates from @Akhilendra Gadde (you)
and 4.4.4 update is not released till now...and waiting for non-stop MIUI updates from both of You...

other than nice rom but we miss MIUI updates from @Akhilendra Gadde (you)
and 4.4.4 update is not released till now...and waiting for non-stop MIUI updates from both of You...

Hi Srinath,
1 I have changed some files in the new port and hopefully the sdcard one would be fixed I suppose.
2 I have no knowledge of how to fix the toggle issue.They worked fine in the starting some boots and stopped working after wipe cache or fixing permissions after some boots.
3 Cam is working for me in professional mode too.but video is FC.I have jb out of the box.video is not working for me with any rom.So I thought that is a kernel problem
4 I have added tweaks,now their should be some significant improvement in performance.
Anyone test the rom and tell is it working?
is there any update releasing because OTA update link is not working so still i'll get updates on mobile?
and WIFI, Bluetooth and GPS toggle issue is there or not, please confirm.

Hi,
You will get updates on the mobile and the zip downloaded has to be tweaked as stated in post #1 to make it flash.
Regarding the toggles,Every toggle is working flawlessly.
In the initial setup for Wifi, one has to install V6 SuperCharger and do Super Clean from the options in script to make it work.

storage partitioned? any issues if reverting to stock later? will these sizes be retained?
does usb otg unmount cleanly? screenshot of the in-call screen? call recording option available?
only 1 sim inserted. will there be 2 call buttons if 2nd sim is inserted? is the dialer dual-sim?

yes i am using it since yesterday
its android 4.3 with 3.4.5 kernel
i partitioned to 7gb internal which is working, so every other should work as well
have not tried otg but the wifi and wifi tethering are not working
there are 2 buttons even with one sim
xposed module gor greenify and extended power menu wrking, rest i havent checked
havent tried touchwiz
havent had much time to test the dpi effects as well

how did you partition storage? if you meant the 2 call buttons seen in the screenshot in op, i think the left one is for video calling.
if you try gravitybox, please finalise your settings, save the log and post here.
you can get the log here: /storage/sdcard0/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files/

There is no issue of internal storage.
It will work on ur phone whatever the partition is.
It must be at least 1gb which is by default.
Gravitybox is incompatible as with all samusung/touchwiz roms.
Havent tried changing DPI yet and OTG.

Downloaded it and installed a few hours ago...
6mbps download speed from the google server...thanks for uploading there....
kindly dont get offended by my review as it is my personal opinion and it can only make u better if my observations are right....
The rom...is a hard work which turned out to be very fruitful. Almost a stable rom. Im gonna use it as my everyday OS till theres a better one by avi.
Everything works even the Wifi too as thats the main source of connectivity for me lol.
Things that im facing issues with:
Wifi tethering stays stuck on turning on. Tried thrice.
UI is a little bit laggy which im sure avi can rectify in no time.
The weather wigdet when deleted got my launcher to crash. when tried to get it back to the home screen it plays up.
Theres an option to change the colour of the network icon for each sim however the colours stay white....doesnt bother me.
And finally the bugs mentioned in the OP.
The rom is very nice....just minor bugs which i can live with. I love the interface. Will use it as my everyday rom as it is a lot of hard work put by Avi and i respect that.
Totally satisfied with the efforts and looking forward to more Custom Roms frm Avi and Puduraja.
What would we do without you guys.

- Its the issue with nvram and need tobe done separately for each phone by changing some hex values.
I will post that tutorial soon.
The weather widget itself is a bug
because of it app drawer crashes and launcher too
u can still use it..
I am trying to update it also.
Can u test following things for me please-
USB otg (please use FAT32 formatted usb drive)
just goto setting storage - preferred location of install - internal
now install xposed and gravity box
see if it works (gravity box - center clock and all)
Right now I am working on other roms (MIUI, xperia, Flexi, Stock tweaked, colour OS)
MIUI, xperia finalized and uploading.
SO i have less time to see each rom's issues.
I will surely rectify or try to rectify all the issues u all encounter.
Please keep on giving ur valuable feedback and solution u found so i will add it in OP.
Please also comment on battery life (I feel its very good - better than stock)
Have u felt any improvement in visual aspects.

Just got this when i was tryin to send a text message....was tryin to send a text using Sim 1 which is a Reliance Gsm Sim.

Regarding the battery....before goin to sleep last night at 12am the battery said 65% and at 7am it woke me up with a low battery 14% continuous beep lol....
Phone was on standby....no processes running....
Avi please do something abt the Battery.
Will not install gravity box as i was never a fan of gravity box.....always felt it screws ur fone royally.
Usb Otg will be tested today as my otg cables are doing rounds in my locality getting used by friends...

i haven't tried this rom yet; i'm not a fan of most things '[email protected]'. i do like the rosemary font and the dual-sim dialer available for a few phones. but, i'm surprised about the battery drain. hope the dev has the answer.
it's not my experience that gravitybox 'screws ur fone royally'. use gravitybox on 'vanilla or close-to-vanilla AOSP ROMs' and you'll see it 'turns them into feature-packed "non-flashing" custom ROMs'.
cables? you have a few? i'm not surprised. costs less than inr50/piece.

i'm interested in Stock tweaked - the tweaks, actually. or anything lightweight without 'too many bells & whistles and proprietary stuff'. i tried miui. will post about it in that thread.

Im on MiUi now....had a week off so thought whats the harm in flashing...lol...
I buy usb otg cables for 15 bucks lol...Manish Market....Mumbai...
I was a fan of gravity box on my Canvas 2...buh it was too much for me to handle hehehe...
And last...i guess we r the only two guys bothered to reply here lol.
Waitin for the Xperia Z Rom now.

me a fan of gravitybox on canvas 2, canvas hd, xolo a500s, and now xolo q3000. enjoying the experience....
sad, really, that not many folks post experience/suggestion/appreciation/advice etc. badly need that for the community to grow.

Now I can use this ROM daily

Thanks for trying the rom.
The air gesture is working only on home screens.
If u move ur hand near front camera and speaker the home screen will scroll to next screen.

I got bored with xolo stock rom so rooted and started using ur all roms with interval of 5-6 days. MIUI i tried which is also good. Will wait for more wonderful things from u.

Stuck at Samsung logo
Well i've tried to install this Rom, however my phone is always stuck on the samsung logo, i've followed the exact steps as mentioned in the OP but still nothing. I know that thefirst boot always takes more time but i'm sure it don't take 15 minutes.
I'm using an BQ Aquaris 5.7 (xolo Q3000 spanish rebranded, the exact same phone) could that be the problem?
What do you think avi?
EDIT: I've managed to get it booting by wiping dalvik cache after rom install

U can just flash xolo Q3000 sp flashable rom on ur bq and use all roms here without any issue.
Is ur storage and wifi working properly with this rom.
U can take tips from nuno1982moreira as he owns bq.
He flashed xolo rom successfully and enjoying all roms here.:laugh:
Well i postes it way too soon, i've passed the Samsung logo, however it gets stuck again where it says upgrading android apps. It upgrades everything and then it says starting apps and puuf, stuck.. More than 20 minutes..
EDIT: I'm back to KK stock with root done, since I don't have another phone to use while playing with this one xD
