Best Push Email Apps - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi all,
Due to the nature of my Job, I should have access to Email, as soon as someone emails me.
I use, Hotmail, Yahoo and MAINLY GMAIL.
I do not have any problem in installing a paid App. I can invest $25 for a decent App on the Android market. But I could not find one.
All the Push Email Apps, they say, that, they will do it every 15 Minutes, during the Peak Time.
But still, I have to open the Email each time and refresh it manually.
Since I have the Unlimited Data Plan with Verizon, I really don't bother much, about the Data usage, even it uses more Data.
Also I recently got the Zero Lemon 6300 mAh Battery from Amazon as well. It solved my battery problems.
My requirement:
If I get a Email, I should get a notification sound, Phone should Vibrate and it should be in the next Minute.
When I used to have iPhone4, my company Email used to reach my inbox in less than a Minute. But I don't know which app is the best one in the Android Market.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
But I can say, I tried lot of different Apps like, EmoZee Secure Push Email.
To some extent, the stock gmail app is better. But I want all of them in a single App, just like the iphone. But I don't know which app actually solves that purpose, with real time push for every 5 Minutes.
Thanks a lot guys and Peace.
sincerely
qzmpal.

Yes. I have tried Mail Droid and Emoze Secure Push Email.
After 2 -3 days of use, the speed with which the Emails are delivered are
Emoze Secure Push
Gmail Stock App
Mail Droid
This is my personal experience though. May be I might have missed some other options. But as far as I Know, I check thoroughly the options in these 3 Apps and I think, Emoze is the better one till now.
But I'm open for suggestions even on the Mail Droid as well. But I did not try K-9. I downloaded that and I'm using it right now. Lets see how this goes.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
Thank You.

I have been using K-9 mail for 2 years and it pushes correctly. If you feel adventurous you can always visit their D/L page and try the "beta" versions.

Um - the built-in email app? Just set it to push delivery. I'm assuming you are using an Exchange server for email?
for true push you want k9 mail in the market. there was also maildroid but people prefered k9 even though they had nearly identical features.

How is ActiveSync's push not "true push"?
well i havent cared to check lately to see if it improved but if you installed k9 on the captivate and had both running k9 would always give you a notification long before the stock app. but im thinking back almost a year, the email stock app may be improved now, lately i have only used my phone for checking email not replying or composing but i remember the stock apps being limited. k9 seemed more fully featured, could attach any file type and had a global inbox for all your accounts.

Well, I used "Improved Email" which is a slightly modified version of the stock app - primarily because it lets me setup multiple Exchange accounts. But anyway, I routinely get notifications of new emails on it before my desktop notifies me (granted, my desktop is running in "Cached Mode" - but still...).
oh sorry. due to insomnia my brain isnt working. yes the stock app may have push for exchanger servers but it doesn't for personal emails. k9 might not be "true" either but it is much faster than the stock app can be on your gmail and other accounts. i need to watch how i word things but what i was getting at is in many cases k9 is very near real time notifications for most email accounts.

In that case I defer to your experience. I don't really use my Gmail account, so I have no idea how quickly it delivers email. I only assumed the poster was using Exchange because that's Blackberry's claim to fame - and I've never understood why Blackberry users seem to think that BB is the only way to get their email immediately - Exchange server has had that functionality baked in for years.

well the gmail app delivers the gmails fast but that app sux for full time use
i used to use k9 and killed notifications for gmail and email. now i stopped caring, i dont have a work email anymore and i stopped using my other personal email from an isp i no longer use so im down to only my gmail but use my computer to reply now as nothing in my life is that urgent at the moment that i need to reply from my phone where ever i am. i may be out of touch with what works now.
Thanks for the help guys. FYI it has nothing to do with thinking that bb's are the only phones that can get instant email. Just some people arent as tech savvy or forgot since they havent owned htc/wm phones in a long time OR never owned android like myself.
I do appreciate all the help however guys!

[App] Hotmail official

Finally for those who use Hotmail an official app with push mail and a widget not bad although the widget isn't very aesthetically pleasing.
Hotmail App
I'm gonna try this one out... there's always the stock app, which does it job good enough, imo... but this one might have something the stock one hasn't...
Thx!
Not a bad app, I expected worse.
nice one

Any chance someone could post the apk?
I've been using this for several months as the SEVEN Beta, it let you add any email account including corporate/exchange ones. Still using it and it works really well.

Yea, it has Yahoo and Gmail and you can add Exchange accounts too as long as the account has webmail access. I think you can also add custom POP3/IMAP accounts. But for some reason the Beta is no longer available on their site. You can probably find it through a google search though it's called Seven Mail and IM Beta.

Yeah same problem , it realy drains the battery.
I realy liked the app because of it html support in email, but it realy sucks because of the battery drain!
Anyone knowing a good alternative with html support and a clean interface?
I'm happy with the battery life using the app. As a matter of fact I switched to using the Hotmail app from using an exchange based email. Under Exchange, push was constantly sending POP3 requests and I was getting errors saying that I was exceeding the maximum number of POP3 requests. Battery life was terrible.
Under Hotmail/SEVEN app, battery life is great and no POP3 errors.
HOWEVER, my problems include
1. I cant add or update my contacts since it only displays the names of the contacts and no other information... like email, phone etc.
2. Some emails won't show the message body. Still trying to determine why certain bodies won't show but the majority will.
Hopefully they can fix both BUGS. Other than that, it's a decent app.
thanks for sharing, really good

Corporate (Exchange) email client alternatives

I think I've had enough with the stock e-mail app for getting my work e-mails. It dims the entire phone every time I open it, it flickers when I scrolls, etc. This is on multiple ROMs with multiple versions of Jelly Bean. I'm convinced the app just plain sucks.
Anyone use any revolutionary third-party apps that they want to share? I checked out TouchDown and Moxier... but $20? No thanks. K-9 seems just OK.
thanks!

Touchdown is great, but expensive. Keep an eye out for sales, I got it for $2 about 2 years ago
You can try the AOSP client, I believe beans has it in his roms. You can also use enhanced email but I stopped using it since I got my S3, the app was acting weird...

I'm trying out Aqua Mail right now. It is only SMTP at this point. No direct Exchange connectivity (ActiveSync)... YET. I e-mailed the dev and he is considering getting a license from M$ to add it to his app.
Other than that I love it. It's free but appends a watermark of sorts at the end of email drafts. $5 to unlock pro version.

Well... found my solution. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33402676&postcount=5
It's an inverted AOSP email flashable zip. It's just plain sexy. It doesn't have any of the issues the default JB e-mail app has.
If you're interested....
-Nandroid
-Delete the SecEmail and SecExchange apk's from /System/App with a root file manager
-Flash the zip in link above
-Go into app manager and force stop/delete data on email AND exchange. I had to do this to get it to work. Not optional.
-Profit.

The problem with using an alternate email client is you lose the new notification features of jelly bean. I was a long time user of Enhanced Email, but given the issues using it in jelly bean, and losing out on some improved notification functions I opted to use the stock app. I do miss the custom led notifications though
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
I've used them all. Enhanced Email, Touchdown, Mail droid, K-9, Kaiten, etc... All are good but all do not have it "all" for functionality. I did like enhanced email on my phone but hated it on tablet due to not having the preview pane option. Touchdown is super powerful but only allows exchange email. Mail droid has great features but does not yet support calendars. K-9 was great until my company changed to exchange server 2010 which K-9 does not support.
I feel like I am on a lifelong search for a do it all email client.

Touchdown "worth it" on n5 compared to Google's stock client? Other alternatives?

Touchdown "worth it" on n5 compared to Google's stock client? Other alternatives?
I like the stock client but 2 things are a slight let down.
1) I only want email when I need it. 1 hour refresh is too often. Once a day is better. Never isn't an option because calendar doesn't like that
2) swipe deletes email. I can turn it off. In outlook I use macros to "archive" emails. Would be nice if swipe acted like Gmail swipe but folder programmable.
I've been looking at other apps and touchdown looks great. For those of you using it on your n5, what are your experiences? I have no problems paying for apps and im aware there is a trial. I will be trying it shortly when I have some time. What I really love to hear though, is how much it changed your "lives"

I personally haven't used Touchdown, but I have a couple techs in my department who swear by it.
I'm basically 24/7 (sys admin) so all my email is push. I've honestly never even looked at how long you could set sync times for, so I was surprised that the longest most apps will let you go is one hour. That's just crazy.
MailWise has a "never" sync option that might work for you. It also has a bunch of options available when you swipe like delete, move, star. Nothing programmable unfortunately, but still better than just delete.
Yeah it was certainly once a day on aosp jellybean, so its a recent change.
I'm the opposite to you. I don't need or get alerts. I just use my personal device if i'm halfway to a machine and i've forgotten where it is exactly... or if I need to contact another user. I'm a really "on demand" kinda guy

Before you pay for an app like Touchdown, try CloudMagic, it's a fairly new application that is now finally available on Android!
I've tried just about every replacement email out there including Touchdown, and as far as I'm concerned CloudMagic is by far the best one yet (especially for ActiveSynce/Corporate Email). The interface is extremely clean and it has swipe to delete. Also the search function is really good.
It's available on the PlayStore.:good::good:
Try Moxier Mail
I've been using Moxier Mail (on Play store, I'd post the link but I'm not allowed to do that yet...) for years and have never needed anything else. Not sure about the swipe to delete/archive thing, but syncing is very flexible. I set mind up to do push between 7am-7pm Mon-Fri and to only check once per day on the weekends.
Moxier also does Outlook contact syncing. Last I checked the stock app doesn't, and this was one of the big selling points for me. Because I'm lazy, and don't want to enter all of those email addresses in two places...

No option for IMAP push mail on Mailwise is a deal breaker for me. Definitely a nice looking mail app, perhaps they will add that to future updates. I'l stick with Aqua Mail, handles exchange and imap perfectly.

Jp Type mail the best!
Nine is amazing
+1 for TypeMail
I wanted to like Outlook but small things let me down.
General app speed just seemed quite slow. Something simple and constant like e-mail needs to be fast!
Strange behaviour when opening images in e-mails. Maybe I'm stupid, but I could not find a way to zoom in on them or make them full screen.
The stock e-mail app is actually quite OK on this Note 5 with my Exchange account. I've disabled it now to try out Nine. Impressed so far with the speed and fluidity of it. If something bothers me I will go back to stock.
Anything besides Mailwise that allows Exchange Bypass?? I have issues giving my company ability to wipe my personal phone...
