Definitely NO, maybe the problem is that i'm trying to install in emergency mode, because this is the only way i can at the moment. I will attach a photo with the error , although this should result in log file

DO NOT REMOVE THE BATTERY
1. Restart KDZ
2. Change PhoneMode to "Emergency" and flash
3. If doesnt work repeat above steps, but choose "CS_EMERGENCY"

Yes do not remove battery until the successful flash. As i hard bricked my LG Optimus One few days back, when I removed battery after KDZ error.
Have patience and be careful.

Dam I think I may have done the same to one of mine after a kdz error. Is there no hope at all after doing this?

Usually, no. Not unless you are fortunate enough to get the device in to fastboot mode. Usually this isn't a possibility.

Oh well. Another brick to add to the collection : P

I really do believe that the OS plays a part in these errors. I recommend using KDZ on Windows XP. Windows 7/8 had "compatibility issues" for me.

I think this should become a requirement:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15122833&postcount=100
Might be very useful in a situation like this.
If you use KDZ afterwards, I believe it will remove fastboot, but then again that's why you have fastboot in the first place (to use it as an alternative to KDZ).
I gave it a go last year, and sure enough, I was able to boot into fastboot, so the method in that link is safe.

I guess ill try installing xp on vmware workstation and give it a go there and if that fails I may have to whip up an pc to install xp on to test....

hi dear friends,
I am also facing emergency mode problem after flashing.
I have used kdz-updater to update and between the update, it showed an error. After that phone wasn't turning on at all. I thought it is bricked. I gave it to service center and they managed to boot to the emergency mode. They gave it back to me saying that they are getting error while installing OS.
Now the phone is booting only to emergency mode. I need to take the battery out to switch it off. I tried again with kdz-updater and getting the same error [screenshot and log files attached]. I have tried 'Emergency', 'Diag' and 'Cs_Emergency' modes and always getting the same error. Disabled Android modem also.
I have also tried with LGMDP tool. It is showing download completed succesfully, but it is showing my IMEI number as 'NOT_ACTIVE' [screenshot attached].
I guess may be the kdz-updater is failing because there is no valid IMEI. Unfortunately, I dont have a backup of NV2 file.
Is there any chance to get my phone back?
Please guide me what to do next.
PS. Sorry for my bad English.

Your in the same boat as me buddy.... I don't think there is much hope. The only progression I've had from where you are at is doing that all over again and again till it worked using a fresh install of xp and lgmdp. (After leaving battery out for considerable amoumt of time after each try). I managed to flash fast boot onto it which is slight progress but then it just breaks whenever it wants, hence me saying there isn't much hope. Not very scientific of an explanation, just my experience. My guess is emmc/nv corruption on a mass production level.flawed chips that that are destined to die.... Just my 2 cents... Hope that helps..

Thanks STAticKY for the reply.
One last try to bring back my mobile to life.
Is there any tool that can generate nv2 file based on my IMEI number?
I found one tool in XDA, but it's allowing to enter only last 5 digits of my IMEI number, and it is for LG KS20 model.
If I get the tool, I can generate nv2 file and try to restore it to my P500.
Or can somebody help me to get the nv2 file based on my IMEI number?
Thanks..

I've tried that but no luck either. I found a gen here on xda that let you change the whole imei not just the last bit.. Can't remember what it was called though.. I don't actually think your/mine nv2 is corrupted cos like I said I was able to get it working and nv2 was fine and I was able to use the networks to send/receive but then it shat its self again. So yea.. Its a tricky one.

Phone is booting to Emergency mode only.
I tried to enter fastboot mode by pressing Homekey, Powerkey and Volume down button, but after showing the LG logo for 1 second, always it is going to the Emergency mode.
Suggestions are welcomed to get the mobile back to life.

Have you tried removing time battery for awhile then trying to reboot? If the recovery is stock you can perform a factory reset. Remove the devices battery. Reinsert devices battery. Push and hold Power+Volume Up+Volume down for 10 seconds. If that doesn't work then only other suggestion is a service center or buy another phone. I have 2 P506's that are stuck in Emergency Mode. Best of luck.

[Q] Bricked LG P505, Emergency Mode

Hello,
I have been searching for three weeks now, and I can't find a solution. My phone has been stuck on the yellow "emergency mode" screen this entire time. I thought it was about time to make a thread, hoping it will help me.
On other forums and threads, people said to use the KDZ updater. I have, but sometimes it spits my phone out saying not found, until I read "use CS_Emergency Mode as a last resort." I did this, and now, even when regularly turning on the phone, its takes me to Emergency Mode, instead of the android screen bootloop. Now, every time, the KDZ updater will say
[R&D Test Tools Log File]
14:42:29 : Launching SW update
14:42:29 : Unpacking KDZ
14:42:30 : KDZ file extraced
14:42:31 : Files were extracted.

14:42:31 : Port = -1
14:42:31 : Connecting to phone
14:42:31 : PHONE WAS NOT FOUND!
14:42:33 : ===FINISHED===
.
I have tried to reinstall the drivers over and over again, but this is always the same result. The LG Mobile Support tool detects my phone, but will always tell my to reboot my phone and try again. This never works. Even the hard reset button combination will not work, it just spits me back to the Emergency Mode.
Please help, Thanks.
(AT&T has already stated that my warranty is void, as I have rooted and modified my ROM.)

Clockworkmod boot loop after OTA update

Hi, this is my first time to post here but i really need help, I installed ClockworkMod Recovery v5.8.4.5 on my LG Optimus L3 E400, I used ROM Manager to install it. but then sometime a while ago, i accidentally selected Update Software on my phone software update option, Now I was stuck at the Clockworkmod recovery screen. I panicked and wipe data factory reset, but still it goes back to CWM. then I tried backup and then restored it afterwards it said restore complete with no error but still goes back to recovery. I also tried KDZ updater with no luck so far. I also tried wiping up everything and restore with no success..Please help
LG E400 ClockWorkMod Recovery Boot Loop
Hello, another android noob here, for 5days stuck with the same problem as TS, and anyone else using the LG (e400) update on CWM atleast v5.8.4.5
* i know this is also discussed in : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1610666&page=39, but more centralized would suit this forum, and help a lot of others i think ?
ive tried....
restoring the backup i created with the LG PC Suite software, no luck..
using the lg mobile support tool to restore, error: version not supported !?
installing the following zip's using CWR install from sdcard, except not fixing the boot-loop, the following installed without any problems
stockrom+.zip
stock_recovery_restorer.zip
cm-9-20120831-NIGHTLY-e400.zip
these failed with error:
uninstall-CWR.zip error: error in uninstall-CWR.zip (file on HD seems ok, redownloaded anyway, no change)
CWM-Installer-E400.zip error: installation aborted
LG_E400_Stock_Recovery+MountPoints.zip error: installation aborted
then i tried....
ADB fastboot , after: adb reboot-bootloader , the com4 connection in "xp: devices: ports" disappears, and adb devices + fastboot devices cant find the phone
last 5 lines on phone itself:
udc.start
reset
portchange
reset
portchange
* the phone hasnt crashed at this point, each time when i reconnect the usb it will reset and portchange (twice)
* a few times i got past this, and got:
STALL GET_DESCRIPTOR 128 6 1006 018
reset
portchange
reset
portchange
* since i couldnt install the sdk/extra/google usb drivers (error: contains no info for your hardware), ive tried with these usb drivers:
LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN36AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.6.exe
LGUnitedMobileDriver S4981MAN37AP22 ML WHQL Ver 3.7.2.exe
* adb interface in devices shows: AndroidNet Sooner Single ADB interface
then i tried the KDZ_FW_UPD.exe option to flash : V10I_00.kdz , didnt work
found another KDZ option for lg (LgFlashPackacge) on acidhazardRom with: UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe, that also didnt work
both end with (loose translation from dutch) : error in MOD UpTextEx MFC Application, program terminated
ive also been reading: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186406&page=5
* the battery loading animation hasnt been showing since the cwr boot-loop started
thinking about trying a new xp install (Again), but im hoping there is some fault in my previous work, or something else i didnt try !?
im about to give up on this and send the phone to LG, but that would feel like a defeat
LG e400 Boot Loop after LG Update
ive tried the options again...and wrote down some more info, i also reinstalled a clean XP : SP3 (incl all updates, except powershell)
installed: LG Mobile support tool incl designated lg drivers
it all looks fine, connects and will detect the phone model, but when "checking software version"
(still in the analysis screen) it stops with "Software update is not supported for this model"
*im guessing thats because of the cwm recovery ?
ADB Fastboot
installed: java - jre-7u5-windows-i586-iftw.exe
adb devices will only show my lg when in recovery menu
adb reboot-bootloader
the screen starts with: USB Init , then a lot of data pases like userdata, persist, cache and tombstones
(they all share status 0x0 <- if that means anything to anyone ?)
fastboot erase recovery and fastboot flash recovery recovery.img both end with [waiting for device]
fastboot devices, produces nothing (not even an error)
KDZ
edit: with msxml 4.0 SP3
once i plug in the usb the phone will show the LG logo, i cant mannualy put it in emergency mode
ive tried using kdz on the lg-logo and cwm recovery screen, i also tried Diag and Emergency modes,
the whole process always looks fine, there are no error lines in the logs, althoug it doesnt seem like a problem,
there is only one blank line:
Param : moduleDir =
all logs end with:
23:00:27 : Step Complete : UPDATE FINISHED!
23:00:27 : ResetStartInfo() Call
23:00:27 : _DetachDLL Call
23:00:27 : _DetachDLL Call End
23:00:27 : FreeLibrary Call
23:00:27 : FreeLibrary Call End
23:00:27 : ResetStartInfo() Call End
23:00:27 : ===FINISHED===
then i get the MOD UpTextEx program terminated error, i can still access the KDZ_FW_UPD.exe till i close the error window
edit: also tried...
- as very 1st step to restore the cwm backup
- adb + kdz under Vista
- lg mobile support tool, emergency mode under support option, gives another version error on entering imei or serial
I just wanna ask ..
Where does your phone stuck? In Clockwork recovery or in the LG's logo screen? What version of windows are you using?

I think you need come back to default Rom Stock of your LG Optimus .After that you can do step by step to update Rom use ClockworkMod Recovery again. If still get error ,you need review the Rom want update for your phone has appropriate or not ?
Good luck.......^^
When i start my phone it will go straight to CWM recovery menu, when i connect to usb when the phone is off it will show lg logo
ClockWorkMod Rom Tools Recovery
ive been working with pc's for over 20years, doesnt matter how you mess up ..theres an easy fix, i was approaching my little LG with the same trust of available tools
ironically, i had installed the Clockworkmod ROM Tools as a safeguard, since i kept reading that its backup was the best
my lesson learned:
since you can backup your stuff and recover with the LG tools, and use other apps for the other functions, theres no point in risking bricking your phone ....when you dont really need it
also im glad i choose to buy an LG since -apparently- i can still send my phone for repair without any costs, considering it all, thats a great service ...almost a miracle
ill keep lurking to see the Cyanogenmod progress, which ill probably install with a multiboot app instead of CWM
feel free to disagree / discuss my opinion
can you please share your back-up please?:crying:
Same problem here! I don't know why on earth I tried to do the OTA update...
exitrecovery.zip didn't help either.... damn
EDIT: Did this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1610666&page=43 and got it working again!!!
The same problem but I didn't no how to fix it!
Hi guys:crying:,
I do have te same problem of you have to but I doesn't know how to fix it.
From google I have found this tread and that's why I've become a member.
All what you guys said, I doesn't understand how t ofix it by myself with the same way too.
Can anybody please tell me a easier way for a beginner as I am?

Thanks for your support guys It is fixed. Previously while using unbrick techniques from karandeedps post I was getting Error WParam : 100 LParam : 6 in KDZ . Actually while flashing the phone needs to be in emergency mode. In my case , I could connect the phone to the computer only in Emergency mode so when KDZ started it would restart the phone and it would not be able to get in Emergency mode. After about 36 hrs of tikering a simple idea struck me, well I was stupid not to use it initially .
I manually put the phone in Emergency mode as KDZ was unable to it by holding POWER + VOLUME DOWN + RETURN and voila there came the emergency mode and within a few minutes flashing was complete and the phone is alive again.....
This time I'll use the proper method as described in Unofficial LG Optimus Net Thread and see if it works .... If it doesn't ..... Well , I know I have a superb community to help me out ....

Are you able to get the phone to Emergency mode by holding power + volume up + back button. 3 days ago when I soft bricked it , I was able to see the LG logo (Mine is Optimus 690 , and I get your's is based on Optimus 500). If emergency is working then you may try this .
Do make sure to disable the LG modem in device manager after connecting it to PC.

Try writing a comma "," in the end.
I mean at%imei=x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,
Instead of at%imei=x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x

look her http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1956347
or flash new rom like that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337545
try more times. I have to spam tutty to start properly showing the real ports. First time I tried to write IMEI I got an error, then I got no response at all and the 3rd time a success. Reboot...
