[Q] Cellular South Showcase stuck in download mode

When I was turning my phone on I accidentally had my other finger on the volume button and now it is stuck in download mode. I turned it off because it was saying it was plugged in via USB but it wasn't plugged in to anything. When I was trying to get it to turn on, a picture of the battery would pop up for a second but then it would just turn back off. The last time I tried to turn it on is when I accidentally had the volume button pressed too. Any ideas?
did you do a battery pull?

It said "do not turn off target." I just tried that and now it's back to just flashing a picture of the battery for a second and turning back off.
So you did pull battery?

Yes. I did see in another post with a similar situation that it worked for but mine's just back to flashing the battery picture.
I let my phone die completely and when I plugged the charger in, it finally turned back on but now when it's unplugged, it flashes " usb connected" and usb debugging connected" and the battery in the notification bar still moves like it's charging.

[Q] Ultra Sensitive Power Button

i changed the title since that is not the issue any more. i re-melted the solder on the power button and it stoped the loops but now it just made it super ultra sensitive like its a touch screen button. any ideas?
so my phone just randomly shut off one night and it automatically turns on when i have my battery in and it just stays on the samsung logo for about 2-5 second and sometimes the touch key lights turn on but just turns back off and does the same. when i try to boot into download mode it doesnt go into it, it just show the image of the batter loading with the loading circle for about 5 second then shuts off. The phone its rooted but running stock. any help with be greatly appreciated!
If I searched for something like this I'd probably find info on the power button being stuck.

Already tried that solution, im slowly starting to think it is a hardware issues. there is no water damage at all.
Hey.
So I have the EXACT same problem...
Phone was on CM10 Jellybean (no OC). Randomly shut off and started to bootloop. Phone will start bootloop when battery is plugged in.
1) Put in battery while holding vol+/-
2) Put in battery while holding power vol+/-
3) Put in battery while holding vol+/- and USB plugged in (I believe this is the correct method of getting download mode)
4) Put in battery while holding vol+/- and USB Jig plugged in
5) Put in battery while USB jig plugged in.
I am all out of ideas. When there is a USB jig, the phone DOES get into download mode, only to immedialtly bootloop back into download mode.
Did you Odin or Heimdall back to stock (since you are in download) and see if it still loops?

[Q] Nexus s Battery Issue

Hey guys, new guy to the nexus forums. My friend gave me his never rooted nexus to try and "Unbrick". Last year his power button stopped working and then he updated to JB. It was fine, power button still didn't work but at least it booted. One day back in December his phone froze so, to reboot, he pulled the battery, as he usually did. IT WOULD NOT BOOT BACK UP! I have soft-bricked a lot of my phones via rooting and stuff but i have never seen this before. It:
a) no vibrate when plugged in/ press and hold power
b) will not boot when plugged in
c) while charging, camera area gets hot (assume that's area where processor lies)
Any ideas guys? is it the circuit board? Bad boot?
Thank you from Me and my friend! .

Might be a stupid suggestion, but just for the heck of it, did you try replacing the battery?
If it still won't power on at all with a new battery, I'd say the silicon is fried.

The battery is completely dead and will not turn on

phone does not turn on, even the screen does not light!
connect usb shines white light
What should I do?!
Please help me
u could try to get a uniersal charger , if not tear down an usb cable , put red wire to + and black one to - on your battery , let it charge for like 15-20 minutes , then put it back and see if that helps
But, is your phone bricked?
This happened to me once, just hook it up to your charger for a while. (10 full mins) and it should be back to normal... unless its a different problem

[Q] AT&T OneX not turning on - red light

Hi all!
This morning I turned off the alarm, at that moment I think I had around 30% battery.
One or two hours later I found the phone turned off, so I supposed the battery went away.
So I connected the wall charger and after a while then I tried to turn it on.
When I did that, Back, Home and the other key started to blink. I remembered that already happened once, so I tried to press volume down + turn on button (or I tried to press the turn on button alone). And I did it for 30 seconds.
The keys stopped blinking and the red light turned off. Nothing else happened, no screen, no lights...
I left the phone connected to the charger, without light. Then I tried to press the turn on button again for 30 seconds, and the red light appeared.
The thing is, if I disconnect the charger, the red light keeps on, unless I press the switch button for 30 seconds and it gets off.
I don't know what to do, I supposed that maybe it's a qhsusb_dload case, but I have no idea.
I appreciate any assistance on this!
Regards,
Dani
Leave it plugged in overnight (or many hours) and try again.

Thank you for this quick response!
Even if the red light keeps turned on without being connected to the charger? It never happened to me.
Should I try with volume-down + switch key?
Yeah just make sure you leave it on charge for a long time before trying to turn it on.
If that doesn't work, plug it into your pc and see what comes up in device manager.

I have tried connecting it to the computer but was not recognized, no new device, nothing.
Stop messing with it, and just leave it alone to charge for several hours.
Hi guys, thanks for the replies.
I left it charging all night, and tried a moment ago and still not working.
i find weird the thing that it has like "2 modes"
- red light turned on all time, even if it's not charging (I left it charging in this mode)
- red light off (now I'm charging it in this mode)
I can switch the light by pressing the volume down + power button for around 20 seconds.
I'm going to try charging it connected to the computer.

If you are trying to get into bootloader, you actually have to release the power button (after pressing it for a few seconds) while still holding volume down. Don't release volume down until you see the white bootloader screen (or you get tired of doing it, and decide its not working).
Also try to get into bootloader while the wall charger is plugged in. There was at least one guy that had a similar issue, and the phone would not power on no matter what he tried, until he tried bootloader with the charger connected. Weird, I know. But worth a try.
I left the phone charging all night long, and it's the same... nothing.
I would analyze if it's a QHSUSB_DLOAD case. I'm downloading ubuntu.
If it's not, I think I'm gonna dissasembly the phone and see if there's something disconnected.
Any ideas are welcome, later I'm going to upload a video.
What method did you use to try to power it on?
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda premium
I have tried just pressing power button for 10 seconds, then I've tried pressing it for 30 seconds.
Then I've tried pressing volume down + power for a few seconds, then release the power while keeping volume down, for a couple of seconds. Nothing,
Then I've tried with 30 seconds and what I see is that the red light is switched off when I do this.
What worry me most is that the red light keeps on even with the charger disconnected.
Short video:
Short video showing that is not entering to fastboot
Long video:
Long video showing that is not entering to fastboot and the red light gets off
Hi guys,
I left the phone 10hs connected to the computer instead of the wall charger and today the red light is blinking.
I've read that is due a very low battery charge, but I've left it charging for 10hs or more, how could it be??
Is your pc recognising the device at all now?

I have the same problem but except my red light isn't on at all. I just connected to my PC again and it read it but still doesn't turn on.
That's a brick. You can try the unbrick evita thread or jtagg

Hi all, thanks for all the responses.
Which unbrick do you recommend???
Not you. Yours appears to be a battery or charging issue. Hardware.
The other guys is a brick.

Is there any other cause? Or it's sure that is a hardware issue?
I just want try to avoid sending the phone service, because it was unlocked.

I have tried connecting the phone to ubuntu and executed lsusb from terminal.
Listed a couple of usb devices but not the phone.
It's difficult to be certain that its hardware but typically the phone would return to its normal state after a long charge. I recall another person who was also not able to return his to a normal state in the sane situation as you and he had to send it out. Yours does not display the same qualities of a phone stuck in qdl mode.
