HTC 8X AT&T unlocked - Is it possible to add system languages - Windows Phone 8x by HTC

Hello.
I have a HTC 8X from AT&T and it's unlocked, working flawlessly with my actual carrier.
The smartpohone features only English and Spanish for system languages, but I'm able to download many other languages for keyboard and voice control, and maps from all over the world.
Is it possible to download or install other system languages to this phone? I can't through the phone, but is there any other way? I could do that to my HTC One XL from AT&T (Android) that featured only English and Spanish to, just by editing a config file.
Thanks in advance. Any grain of salt will help.

Hey, I'm from Peru and I got the same Phone from att.. the only problem I got is that I cant make internet sharing to work. Do. You have the same problem?

Searching for German CDMA ROM for Touch Pro2 (formerly Verizon)

I have long searched all fora and have not found much, so please excuse my new post ...
I moved back to Germany with a HTC Touch Pro2 branded by Verizon. However I am no longer Verizon Wireless customer.
I would like a German ROM on my handset, possible a WM6.5-based ROM and, of course, it needs to be CDMA radio compatible as I read in most of the posts that a GSM ROM would wreck my device.
At present there is still the newest WM6.5 ROM from Verizon (3.04.605.3) flashed on it, but the radio (2.32.00WU) is already Security and SIM unlocked (I applied Hard-SPL).
Does anyone know a CDMA-based ROM in German?
Thanks,
Mat Fred
Is you reasoning for a German ROM purely language?
I think you can use any CDMA ROM and just use an international SIM card.
there isn't a german cdma rom
Yes, my main reason for a change to a German CMA ROM is language as it is kinda enoying to get english spelling hints when texting for example.
But also I would like to get rid of the Verizon branding since I am not using it anymore.
-Thanks

We are CDMA, so all of those GSM world ROMs CANNOT be used. Using a world GSM ROM could potentially brick your device
You will want to check out all the custom ROMs over at PPC geeks...some might even have a german language pack:

[Q] Languages in WP7 Devices,How many built-in? Are carrier dependant?(Western World)

Hi, I`m studying the range of WP7 devices, but until now I have none of them.
I am particularly interested in American devices (mainly at&t, Bell, Telus and Rogers devices); and Telstra`s australian devices; and the Spanish language.
The questions are about languages that are included with the devices:
How many languages are supported in current WP devices?
The amount of languages included are carrier, model, or Manufacturer dependant?
The languages can be changed without a hard reset?
Is the spanish language included in all WP7 occidental devices? What devices?
e.g.
A Telus HTC 7 Surround, and an At&t HTC Surround (both T8788 model #), came with the same "set" of languages?, or the canadian model is different of U.S. model?
Please, give me some light (I prefer long answers)
Thanks in advance!
I asume there are the same languages on every device. I got German, English (twice - UK and US), Spanish, French and Italian.
Thanks for reply!
Then I want to make a more easy question, What languages are getting in your device?, and what device (model/carrier/country)
Best regards

Desire S from China - Locale Change

Hey everyone.
After many years of using a BlackBerry I took the plunge and bought my first touchscreen device. I had my reservations about typing quality but the HTC keyboard is fantastic.
The device I purchased was advertised as being shipped from the UK by a UK seller so naturally you assume this is a UK device. Turns out this is an import from Hong Kong. This isn't a major issue as you can still use English and that is all I need but I can't modify the locale from English HK to English UK.
My understanding is if my device has the S-ON lock turned off using an XTC goldcard inserting a UK sim should cause it to automatically detect and use English UK as the locale without having to root it and install the European stock rom.
Would I be right in thinking this?
Simple method:
Download Morelocale 2 from market.
Select English(UK) from the list.
That's all.

Europe WWE vs Asia WWE

Hello!
Maybe it's a stupid question.
Official sales of Sensation did not start yet here in Ukraine, but you know, I just can not wait. I can buy gray imported Europe WWE (401) or Asian WWE (707) (I also have seen 701 CID, do not know what it is?).
The question is, if I purchase Asia WWE device, will I have problems? Looks like it have different radio versions.
Main question is: Will I be able to flash it with Europe WWE after we will get unlocked bootloader, or it may have incompatible hardware?
Current operation frequencies is not a problem, my carrier does not have 3G, I'll be using EDGE connection.
Asian ROM won't have European locales so unless you wanna use English I'd get the European handset
I plan to use English interface (it just looks better than cyrillic).
Interesting thing, device with 701 CID had Russian locale as well. I assumed, that 701 is Asian too, but I may be wrong. I did not find on XDA any mentions of x.xx.701 ROM versions.
Can I tell form the box what version of phone is inside? Nonofficial devices sold in sealed boxes, and nobody would open it before purchase.
You can't unfortunately, you can only assume that where it's being purchased from will dictate the version

not necessarily...mine was shipped from Hong Kong and i actually have an Indian version with a 720 number, different to the 'asian' number
(yes, i know india is in asia )
Can some one tell me which ROM have Russian lang?

x.xx.707 had Russian.
But, I think it safe to assume that all ROMs contain large amount of locales. Correct me if I wrong.
I bought an asian version and the seller told me to get the app more locale 2 from the market. With it you can have any languages you want!

Hi
I have also asian sensation (1.35.707.1) and also using it in Ukraine.
Can someone tell me do I have any good _technical_ reason to flash a European rom? Don't care about locale, i'm using English anyway.
How about radios or any other core software? I'm concerned with reception quality, maybe with EU rom i'd have a better reception?
I had HTC Incredible S, and after updating to EU rom from Asian reception was terrible (might also be a common Android 2.2->2.3 upgrade issue)
Thanks!

[Q] skyrocket in Spanish without root

My grandfather don't know English and needs a better phone, I'm thinking of buying him a galaxy s 2 but I need to put Spanish as the language. Now my mom has the Sgs2 from Bell and I checked the settings and is either English, French or Korean. If I buy him a phone probably from ebay I don't want to root it.
Is there a way to add easily a Spanish package? If not, Is there another gs2 model (maybe att). That will have it already on?
Thank you
