Hello everyone, I am writing because I have a problem (according to my inexperience) "unique", briefly explain the situation.
I unlocked (at this point I'm not even sure) my device via htc.dev and I was willing to install new rom including cyanogedmod.
A few days ago, trying to follow the guides on installing recovery and to switch to s-off my device in bootloader mode gave me the written abnormal.
To date, my situation is that found in the pictures found in the annex.
I tried to do a factory reset but it does, I tried again to reinstall the original ruu but gives me error 155 on sync.
The phone turns on, everything seems to work perfectly, however, does not take TIM, ie with the sim inserted I can not call them navigate.
I ask you the pleasure to help me solve the problem and fattibilie, the procedure "correct" the face that my case to install new rom.
I look forward to your feedback.
Thanks in advance.

ok, could you give me a solution or tell me a guide to fix this problem?
Nothing unique here.
You need to relock the bootloader to flash the ICS RUU
You need to lower your software version via misc_version and relock the bootloader to flash a GB RUU

Will be trivial, but being inexperienced I need some more details.
What is the order in which I can do?
I like this RUU:
RUU_SAGA_ICS_35_S_HTC_EU_14.01.401.2_20.76.30.0835_3831.19.00.110_275068
Could you kindly elencarmi commands to follow?
thanks

I think, after much reading in this forum, that the only way to flash a new radio with a dev-unlocked Desire S is the following procedure.
0. BACKUP
1. download official RUU with wanted radio
2. HTC-dev relock device with "Fastboot oem lock"
3. flash RUU package
4. HTC-dev unlock device
5. flash Rom of choice OR do nandroid-restore
6. flash correct boot.img from the Rom used in #5 using "Fastboot flash boot boot.img"
7. restore everything, as the phone is wiped twice during the procedure (unless nandroid restore is used earlier)
As I do not see a RUU with a newer radio than I've got myself (.10.08.04), and I dev-unlocked myself, I cannot try this procedure until the new update is ready.
Please correct or add if you know more....
Jeroen.
You may need to change your main version.
If you have purchased your phone with Sense 3 there might be a chance that it had 2.10.xx.x version before you unlocked it with htcdev.com.
But if you device was with Sense 2 when you got it, then you accept an OTA update and unlocked afterwards then you version will be 12.10.xx.x or 13.10.xx.x and you need to modify the misc partition before running a RUU

@ Padrik ... A polite word. Stop tacking your own problems onto the bottom of somebody else's unless you are 100% sure that you have an identical problem. Stop posting stuff that has nothing to do with the OP. And learn to use the search engine. People are not here to spoon-feed the answers - we had to learn all this and it makes everything better if you learn and understand rather than just accepting what people tell you.
I could have given you the answer far quicker than typing this post, but people need to learn that there are rules on XDA

Hello. Out of curiousity if I install the new ruu will I get any problem?

hello guys! i am completely clueless now... ive been wandering around this forum for more than 4 hours. and i just can't find any help.
my situation is as following:
i tried to unroot my desire s to get the warranty back with this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1460713
at some point i accidently flashed hboot 2.00.0002. than i was stuck with the ruu update's error: 140..
i have a goldcard but it just wouldn't let me downgrade to this ruu: RUU_Saga_HTC_Europe_1.47.401.4_Radio_20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_199410_signed i am pretty sure that this is the right one...
i got my desire s at an o2 shop here in germany and it comes unbranded.
i tried so many guides, but i can't get out of this misery.
although i was able to get to the recovery (4ext touch), unlocked via htcdev, but unrooted and S-ON.
now my phone boots and gets stock at the ics fallout "htc one" bootscreen.
is there a way to get my desire s to be stock again?
Wierd you can access recovery!!!
Well All I can say is that never try to downgrade from any ics rom to stock ginger bread rom without downgradin your misc version mate. And unfortunately, i think you have to wait for official stock ICS rom.

yea, very wierd, isn't it?
i tried to fake a misc-version downgrade via adb cmd and i was able to do it once, but it was still higher than the ruu version.

Actually I myself encountered this problem using exactly the same guide but somehow i was able to find the higher RUU which did the trick for me. Try to find some higher RUU.
Otherwise go for jtag or xtc clip if u can't wait..
BTW update is just around the corner if you dont want to apply hardware methods

Dats nice to hear it
Having unlocked the bootloader and having a functional custom recovery, all you had to do was to run misc_version script from recovery, reboot to bootloader, lock it and proceed with RUU flash. Nothing more.
Got your same problem. I was stuck at the bootloader because I had my desire s unlocked with HTCdev.com. Relocked it and flashed with a previous RUU like 1.47... it worked and then flashed hboot and radio...
u shd hv just unroot n den lock ur bootloader with the token provided when u did htc dev unlock
run d misc ver. changer n zergrush
and den run RUU ...
hello folks,

STUCK!!! - i've tried the steps but when phone boots into HBOOT it tries to read the PH06 zip file but its does not recognised the image and jump to bootloader and asked whether want to install the update or not... i can't get it to work.... im at a dead end....
There is no need to update HBOOT. Just skip that step and continue unlocking on htcdev site. That is what I did, and I beleive many others. I wrote this down several times, and this is the last one. It worked for me without issues, whatsoever.

ok - i am unsure which step you are talking about. Is it the first step where u have to use the RUU file from the htcdev site? before clicking to next step? i am stuck there , i dont know how to proceed....
so if skipping that step, i go into bootloader mode, choose fastboot ,and proceed with step 5 and so on?? is that rite???

hi all,
i HAD a sensation running Android Revolution HD 6.8.0. and without checking properly, i installed AOKP-42-20130118.zip and gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip. the phone won't boot or charge. i then realised this is not a sensation rom, it's a HTC ONE rom, i think!! . i've followed the HTC Unbricking Project and get "device not found...check connections" in ubuntu. phone shows up on windows as other device labeled QHSUSB_DLOAD. is my phone toast? sorry if all this sounds amateurish as im completely new to all this. thanks all.
thats some dangerous thing happened there ..if HTC UNBRICKING not doing any help ..then service center only

3.uninstalled the HTC sync program,

yes tried all of the above, several times. tried newest drivers, and 3.0.0.007, messed around with several usb cables, changed computers. device not found error every time. i think the phone is stuffed. will send it to mobiletechvideos in Texas. it's a 50 dollar repair. will be a bit more careful next time.

you received the phone with LOCKED bootloader and SOFF ?
then before doing anything ..i would suggest you to ..check whether the phone is soff or not (I've seen 3 cases at-least where the phone showed soff (after the phone got back from service center) but its not actually soff and people bricked their phone again trying to flash stuff) ... to check soff status go to my soff guide (link in my signature)..try the controlbear soff NO HTC_DEV unlock one ..if the phone is properly soff then the controlbear says soff and exits ..otherwise your phone is not soff ..
also you cant do HTC-DEV unlock (motherboard got replaced so IMEI changed) as IMEI changed and the unlock procedure fails ..the only way is JB SOFF

yes install juopunutbear hboot via controlbear and if that didnt went successfully ..install patched revoultionary hboot (at the end of first post i think) from kohr-ah firmware thread present in sensation development section.
then you cna continue with custom recovery flashing and then custom rom (if you want you can backup your current stock rom too from the custom recovery before trying the new rom )

Hi guys,
I have an HTC Explorer and I unlocked and rooted it few days back, later I got a strange problem that everytime I receive or make an outgoing call, my phone goes on loudspeaker automatically and anything I do, I can't make it stop. I factory reset it several times, reflashed stock ROM but nothing. Finally I decided to take it back to service center but since it's rooted, I tried to unroot it first and then relock the bootloader. I flashed back the stock recovery and then locked the bootloader but got some warnings while locking it.
Now it shows bootloader relocked but with some warnings in red color. I can't start my phone now as it goes in bootloader mode always, unlocking it again makes it work again so I am sure I am not doing something right.
Can you suggest me what I should do to make it lock properly and also if some suggestions related to loudspeaker problem, I will be really thankful.
Thanks.

Flashing an RUU is the only definitive way of *relocking* your device. And, as of why it shows *relocked* and not *locked*, I quote Rohan Pruthi (dunno if he's on XDA).
Because, its a virgin no more! no matter how much you try to show otherwise...

Reboot to bootloader and connect your phone to PC, and type
Code:
fastboot getvar all
and paste the output here... It will be easier for me to tell which RUU you'd need then...
Else, you can search for one yourself... Only thing that the Radio version and hboot should match...

I am not with that device now but thanks for the command, I will do that later. Hopefully I will be able to find one for my device, since it's exe file, I just need to run that once I get it downloaded?
