Here's an (unofficial) Google apps package for CM10.1. All of the apps/libs/etc have been pulled from the official Galaxy Nexus factory image 4.2.2 (JDQ39).
Download link: gapps-jb-4.2.2-20130301-signed.zip
Notes:
1. This package DOES NOT include the GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk, as the current version included with previous JB GAPPS packages is 4.0.3 but it is no longer part of the official 4.2.2 ROM. It DOES include CalendarGoogle.apk (the official Google Calendar app) which is almost 100% identical to the CM calendar app, just has a prettier icon (IMHO), and it does not require the sync adapter. Also, apps like GTasks don't require the sync adapter, so no loss there. Apparently, the only app that does require the 4.0.3 sync adapter is the CM calendar app, which is removed by the GAPPS installer.
2. After flashing this GAPPS package, Google Now will most likely FC when launching a voice search. Fear not, just go to the Play Store and install the Sound Search for Google Play update (v1.1.7) and the Google Search update (v2.3.11.575405) and you will be back in business. Note: v1.1.7 cannot be installed as a \system\app, it will FC, it must be installed as \data\app as an update (believe me... I tried) and that's why it's not included in this GAPPS package by default.
3. If you have another GAPPS package installed, just flash this version over the top of the existing package in recovery (TWRP or CWM.) There is no need to factory reset, or wipe cache, or do any sort of silly rain dance.
4. Yes, this GAPPS package will back itself up and restore when flashing a CM update via CM Updater or manually in recovery.
5. Question? Post them in this thread.
Enjoy, and you're welcome!
Sweet, thanks. I'm going to try ne!

Nothing really. It's not difficult to delete the calendar sync adapter and install the google calendar from the play store. That's basically the only real difference.

They are the 4.2.2 updated apps and libs, not the 4.2.1 versions as in the 20121212 gapps package.
Did you not read the OP?

I stand somewhat corrected. I wasn't thinking about the jar files and such. I did a quick comparison and they are indeed different, but what exactly is different?
For example, decompiling com.google.android.maps.jar shows that the only difference is 5 smali files. I opened the first one, MapActivity$1.smali and the only difference is they inserted an empty line at line 355. Just curious if there is actually any significant changes.

Breaks gesture typing. Flashed this and gesture typing stopped working. It was showing trails but not typing anything. Replaced libjni_latinime.so in these gapps with the old lib in the official ones and gesture typing was back.

Thanks. Fixed in gapps-jb-4.2.2-20130301-signed.zip. The correct lib to include is actually libjni_latinimegoogle.so from the factory image, renamed to libjni_latinime.so so that it overwrites the version included in the CM build.
Using the latest zip with 03/01 CM 10.1, seems to work fine so far.
How about picasa sync? I really love albums showing up directly from gallery.

I believe the stock GalleryGoogle.apk is only installed on Nexus devices. Will test it on SR and see about installing it by default. That would mean loosing CM camera features like HDR, but gaining picasa sync.

Has anyone flashed this with CM10.1? Which nightly and how was the experience?
I am asking this so I could avoid flashing it if someone already flashed and had issues.

Not sure if this is out there yet but I found a modified version of the cm9 music player Apollo. No other music player tops this one and I was very upset when I installed on aokp 4.1 and no-go. Original Apollo apk is not compatible with jb. Force closes. So here is the Apollo modified for Android version 4.1 jelly bean. Tested it. Works good. There are some themes on the play store for it too. Original thread was found on droidforums.net.

I'm confused. Apollo is standard app included in CM builds (including CM10) and AFAIK it has been since it came out on CM9 a few months ago. Where did you get the version that was FCing on you?
Downloaded on file crop couldn't get it in play store. Its not standard in aokp tho so this will b useful for those members running that and want Apollo without extracting from cm10
I just did a titanium backup of Apollo apk from cm10 nightly rom so I could use it on stock jellybean, works fine for me.

Anyone pull it so guys on ICS based Rom can get some love?
I'm with ya. Running Google now on stock ics Rom and would love to check out this update. I'm sure we will be flashing the latest update through cwm any second now.

Do they have Google Now that runs on a stock TW Rom, rooted? Google Now will be the one thing I will miss from my GNEX JB Rom.

Like how you can finally add your teams manually also
Google Now error [CM10 on SGS3/Verizon]
On my Samsung Galaxy S III on Verizon, with CM10 nightly, Google Now keeps telling me that I need to turn on Google's location service. But it is on. This notification keeps coming back and I can't get any further with Google Now.
Known issue? Am I missing something??
I went from stock rooted to cm10 and now Beans build 9.. Which is the best right now imo
I'm sure this could be installed as an apk, not flashed correct?
Google now has to be hacked to work on ics. Which is why there are a few bugs currently compared to jb roms. Will probably take a few days for this update to work its way through the team that is porting it over.

Good Day,
Many of you already estatically await the come of Android 4.2 to the Galaxy Nexus. While some may be lol'ing about the attempts to port 4.2 to the Gnex, you all will like this. I present you the Android 4.2 Transformation Pack.
Note to mods: I know I already made a thread in the Galaxy Nexus forum, but we think we can use this in pretty much every Jellybean device.
I tested it on CM10. You will still need an AOSP- Based ROM (AOSP, CM, AOKP or just any other similar)
Supported devices:
Google Galaxy Nexus
Google Nexus
ASUS Nexus 7
Nexus One
As said, pretty much every device is compatible. Please post your device and if this works. It should work everywhere.

It should add apps. It should install a keyboard you need to enable. Your default launcher may be overlaying the Launcher2.

Running AOKP Jelly Bean Build 5 on my Verizon GS3, and it didn't seem to add anything. Flashed the zip in recovery, didn't do anything else. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks for this, though! Pretty awesome. I hope I can figure out what's going on.

look at you system storage .. is it full ?
because i have the same problem because my system storage are full .. i deleted some of unnecessary app ..
now it works like a charm .. but photosphere seems still doesnt work on P990 CM10 as panorama on default camera are not yet working ..
Gmail, Photosphere, Clock and the keyboard are working great on my Google Nexus One.
Keyboard not working
Hello
Im flashed the file and did a reboot.
New gmail for example is working but the keyboard isn't. You guys got an idea? Im reading in other threats about replacing or deleting files in system/app but I don't know this will do the trick.
I have a Galaxy Nexus with AOKP Milestone 1 ROM
I apologize if this seems like a silly question, but after having googled for some time and not finding any kind of clear answer.
1)Will this work on any 4.1.2 Rom?
2)Will this work on the Nexus S?
Nothing happened bro
Flashed but no change

I recently switched from "Jelly Beans" Build 10 to Carbon Rom, and I'm a bit dumbfounded. When I flashed the latest 4.2 Gapps (12/12/12), every trace of photosphere is gone. I can't even view my older ones. Somebody told me that Photosphere only activates on certain devices, but I'm not so sure. Is it my rom, or something else? Thanks in advance. (Verizon GS3)

Photosphere is not included in the official gapps 12/12/2. The only way you would be able to get it would be to find a modded Gallery.apk with Photosphere included. I don't think it will be included in any official CM 10.1 rom, unless a devs decides to add it into their rom.
Unzip the beans 10 rom and pull GalleryGoogle.apk from /system/app/ then put it in your phones /system/app/.
Oh whale.
