Ok my xoom 2 has been password locked thanks to my 10 year old brother who doesn't know what the password is.... (oh yay) unfortunately usb debugging wasn't enabled so running any commands to hard reset my xoom is a no go.
I have searched and searched for the last few days with no success in finding a solution so i'm going to have to go beneath the hood and have a play around.
I already know how to tear down the xoom as I've already tried doing a battery pull.
Does anyone at all know anything about the internals that I could pull to wipe the device or return it to stock?
I really don't like the idea that I have spent a few hundred dollars on a pretty looking frisbee.... :-/

Alright I'll give it a few more goes I have heard it can be a bit tedious to get into by making the right timing to press the buttons.

Not sure if broken or not but want to make sure this is normal or not. Just bought the Tab 2 today and I noticed that my power button is very loose compared to the volume keys. Is this normal?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Not on mine or the display model at Costco from what I remember.
The power button is a little bit looser, but it is really minimum. Probably because it is smaller and not so solid mounted as the larger volume key.
If you say it is very loose, i think this is not normal.
Mine is very tight, both Volume button & Power button is very tight
Thanks for everyone's answers. I will return it and get a new one. Anyone know where I can look to bring my Tab 2 to full stock?

Simultaneously click power button and volume down button. Works with most sensation ROM's.
make sure you click both button at same time and keep pressed for a few seconds until screenshot gets taken.
No way other than using the power button option.

Factory Reset may fix your problem...
Also the rooted app above allows you to draw on the screenshots within the app... I used this on my Thunderbolt all the time...

Have you tried holding down both buttons for 5 seconds?
Hi everyone
I've been trying to access menu option in stock recovery without success.
Before Lollipop used to be Volume UP while Android robot was laying down but it doesn't work in Lollipop.
I've searched the forum but couldn't find any info.
Thanks

Just press simultaneously volume down, up and power button, 4 or 5 times.
Have you tried yourself?
