What Xperia Play Games Do We Have Left To Look Forward To?

Well, not many that I can see. Although SE has promised more are on the way. I work in the cell phone industry and a SE rep gave me a SE One sheet on the new games coming out, its getting a little old since I got it a month or two ago, but Ill attach it anyway.

desert winds looks waaaay to good to be on a phone

I have been waiting for desert winds ever since the Xperia Play was announced.
But who better to display the capabilities of the processor than the company who makes it?

I look forward to FIFA 12. I really want to see a PSP-like experience in Android for a footy game. I miss RPG's though, so far we have fairly limited options in that field.

I'm still waiting for order and chaos!

yeah but it would almost be possible on the xperia play. If you coded the game in a different way with less details on graphics and ****. Maybe.

Riptide GP will also most likely make it's way to the Xperia Play this fall.

My wish and dream is Monster Hunter Freedom United from PSP. We can only have a hope that company like Gameloft will made games looks like this (GTA, MH:FU or else).

RS2012 being Xperia PLAY Optimized isn't exactly *new* news, but if you've seen it on the Google Play Store, you probably have also been hit by the "This item cannot be installed in your device's country." prompt. It's now available in the Gameloft Wapshop for the NA region to get! ...and it's actually not a bad game at all!
Not only have they refused to learn the lesson about cheaply taking advantage of the non-SD transferable "data" portion to suck away at our phone storage, and ignored the importance of efficient data consumption; but they've gotten worse than ever.
I halfway don't even wanna add this to the xperiaplaygamer database because that'd inadvertently be like saying this kinda of crap is okay. Fortunate for them, I'm just psyched enough about Xperia Play nearing the 300 game mark to add it anyway. It's really a shame that Gameloft didn't just pack that 40ish MB of fluff on the SD with the rest, because this game really is nice. Great camera angles, smooth controls, EXP/level up system, nice graphics, and even decent voicework for the announcer.
There are games that look AND play better than everything Gameloft ever made that manage to suck from the SD and leave the phone storage alone (save for a couple hundred KBs) why can't Gameloft just follow suit? Surely they're tired of being called incompetent.

Real Football 2012 doesn't have good graphics at all, and the players are stiff sticks. Don't add that crap to your base, there are better things on which to invest your time.

I tried this game, to be honest i prefered the preinstalled fifa 10.
Hated the game

I already tried the european version (Real Football 12) and I have to say it is quite ugly. RF11 looked way better. I just uninstalled and kept PES 12.

what modes are in pes 12? Is it much better than FIFA 12?

Pes has more modes, free kick challenge being the only reason i bought the game
The only thing is it has all of the fake names, and no way of changing them -.-
But gameplay on fifa12 is better

I don't care too much about licenses but I have FIFA but pes seemed better. Does it have Master league?

Hmm, i´ve looked after the ios version and what kinda annoys me that this game isn´t available in the german App Store. Maybe this also accounts for german Android Users. That would be awful!!!GRRRRR!!!!!
Anyway, only way to get it for us german Gamers is through a) market enabler or b) getting illegal (no way!!! Don´t want to hurt devs unless it´s only way to get it)
Is market enabler legal by the way? Don´t want to lose Google Account.

It's already on I phone but this is the manual for the android version (dated 17th July 2012) I think the IOS was end of last year which also has an online manual (field manual) on another page in there forum (dated Dec 6th 2011)

Agreed. This may look like last year's quality games but it has a plot and a pedigree.
Don't get me wrong dead trigger is bad ass looking and I am playing loads on my tab S with PS3 pad. But got to level 16 and have the bren which is cool but it's boring with only 3 types of game modes on the same repeated maps (small sized at that).
This (cod) will be a great game for android and shows that other big named company's are seeing android as a worth while platform to release there games on.
And anyway these games are so cheap I will be buying both, 1 for gameplay and 1 to show off. Win win

Yea i agree. Maybe Activition is just testing the waters with this one and then the eye candy would come after. Non the less, there is nothing better than seeing a big brand gaming company join the android movement.

It may not be. It's using unreal engine instead of gamelofts normal one. This game "SHOULD" not run like any gameloft game before. On way home to grab some WiFi then will test it

It's still downloading at the moment, it's getting along nicely (42%) but i'll be leaving in a while for a short time. Poo tang will probably post the results. EIther way, the game should play nicely on my tablet so not too fussed about a refund

Touchpads work ok?

completely fine. It's really well optimised. The worst thing i think so far is that the sword attack icon is on the screen and that there's no physical button you can press to open treasure chests. It's plays well too, a few stutters here and there (i did set my processor speeds lower- about 800Mhz to 1.2Ghz) but at 1.5Ghz it was smoother. As someone mentioned though, the game takes up over 50mb as "data"!!
Edit: just resumed the game and the left touchpad became unresponsive. The d-pad works fine though. The right touchpad also seemed a bit unresponsive to right to left swipes. These may sound like major issues, but the game seriously plays fine even with these issues. They are really minor niggles, even though they may sound horrible

This is music too my ears I'm expecting bugs but that's just gameloft for ya but the play is still up there mc4 and vice city are making me excited! Any other cool realese coming?

OMG that look amazing that's a game that deserves to be played on a gaming phone! I may go have a little pray for this to be playable on xplay even if its not optimized maybe game keyboard could lend a helping hand but I won't get my hopes up! Time to go play on my dads note 2 for abit!

I just hope that GL won't make it like in MC3 - right analog was just a big fail. Slide pad like in Dead Trigger is perfect.

Really?? I kinda hope it'd be like mc3. Console like analog. Guess diff people got diff taste.

IMO, some newer and the newest MC3 have screwed controls, but some of first version (even maybe first of first ) have it awesome. I never update game if controls/graphics/performance is great/good enough for smooth playing - sometimes it's not worth it like in MC3 .

It really depends on which version of MC3.
The Gameloft Wapshop version of MC3 (which, for some reason, has not been updated past 1.0) has ****ing incredible controls. But when it went on sale for $0.99, I decided to grab the Play Store version and that joint was whack. Play Store version has that nasty, dysfunctional, stupid goddamn simulated analog that we all hate.
I just don't understand how Gameloft manages to screw up things they previously got right. NOVA 2 has perfect use of the right analog, and they've been adequately praised for it. Why even mess with the formula?

It's beacuse now they not making seperated apk/version for XPlay, and our optimized from GL games (most of) is in fact just making controls invisible, and touchpads are not different device for moving, but something like fingers on screen. Why I think that way? It's simple, it can be seen in code, and also while playing - there is a bug in Wild Blood, when left touchpad stop working. You don't know why? Try close your slider. And you got stuck in some place left touchscreen button, in nerly central place of display. This is how it works on most new GL games. I'm not saying it is bad, cause sometimes even that simple "emulation" work perfect, but sometimes I think they didn't catch and find all bugs when coding it.
And ummm....Guys....Let's get back to topic, and wait for HoO&C. It in iTunes for about 5-6 hours, so maybe soon in GPlay .
