I have been waiting for desert winds ever since the Xperia Play was announced.
But who better to display the capabilities of the processor than the company who makes it?
I look forward to FIFA 12. I really want to see a PSP-like experience in Android for a footy game. I miss RPG's though, so far we have fairly limited options in that field.

yeah but it would almost be possible on the xperia play. If you coded the game in a different way with less details on graphics and ****. Maybe.
Riptide GP will also most likely make it's way to the Xperia Play this fall.
My wish and dream is Monster Hunter Freedom United from PSP. We can only have a hope that company like Gameloft will made games looks like this (GTA, MH:FU or else).

And uncharted is a rip off of any number of other games. End of the day by 1985 every single genre had already been covered. Do you think all these xbox/ps3 games are new? The spectrum/amstrad/amiga did all that in the 80's

gameloft may be good copiers, but they do it right.. except for the controls..

Confirmed. Another Gameloft dud.
I've downloaded it via Gameloft site but when i try to install, he says (1 or 2 seconds after launch) that there's a error wile download. I select retry and he ask me again. Anyone have this problem?

I can understand being imperfect, but how are they screwing up things they got right before? This isn't even up to N.O.V.A. 2's standards.
... it's not absolutely unplayable like Splinter Cell Conviction (FTR, I was able to complete the first 2 levels with moderate control rage), but you'd think they would've mastered this by now.
EA did great in their first Xperia PLAY shooter (Bad Company 2) then by Dead Space, they'd created a perfect scheme.

My Original Idea Would Be for Sony to Attract Developers/Porters to Port Great titles from PS2/PSP/PSX But They have actually Rejected most things In this case all R800 Handsets are being Left out of the game With Doccomo Getting the Releases and R800 dying for them we Just are Sad to say That the Future Of games for they play are Very Limited.
I dougbt Sony are even Bothering with attracting Developers to Play Even tho It has a Beautiful gamepad they Still have left Us out. And Its Been a Year since Launch But no Full PS suite or Big Titles Have been Launched Upon the Play Apart from Some Recent Ports.
Sony Could have Ported Multiple Games they have the Money but aren't Investing in the Mobile PS suite Yet. As I have said Rockstar are the Only Good Developer from The PS2/PSP Age that have Shared there gaming Greatness.

Naughty Dog belongs to Sony. Sony could certainly bring stuff like Jak and Daxter if they so wanted. But you know the traditional rift between Sony divisions.
More On Topic: I hope it supports the famous Kung Fu Mod. It was so great back then, you could really kick ass without the guns.
Maybe we will make some petiction for Sony to make Jak & Daxter games for our Playstation Certified devices, like Play? And I just want God Of War and Uncharted maybe - that's all I need.....What do you think guys?

RS2012 being Xperia PLAY Optimized isn't exactly *new* news, but if you've seen it on the Google Play Store, you probably have also been hit by the "This item cannot be installed in your device's country." prompt. It's now available in the Gameloft Wapshop for the NA region to get! ...and it's actually not a bad game at all!
Not only have they refused to learn the lesson about cheaply taking advantage of the non-SD transferable "data" portion to suck away at our phone storage, and ignored the importance of efficient data consumption; but they've gotten worse than ever.
I halfway don't even wanna add this to the xperiaplaygamer database because that'd inadvertently be like saying this kinda of crap is okay. Fortunate for them, I'm just psyched enough about Xperia Play nearing the 300 game mark to add it anyway. It's really a shame that Gameloft didn't just pack that 40ish MB of fluff on the SD with the rest, because this game really is nice. Great camera angles, smooth controls, EXP/level up system, nice graphics, and even decent voicework for the announcer.
There are games that look AND play better than everything Gameloft ever made that manage to suck from the SD and leave the phone storage alone (save for a couple hundred KBs) why can't Gameloft just follow suit? Surely they're tired of being called incompetent.

Real Football 2012 doesn't have good graphics at all, and the players are stiff sticks. Don't add that crap to your base, there are better things on which to invest your time.

Pes has more modes, free kick challenge being the only reason i bought the game
The only thing is it has all of the fake names, and no way of changing them -.-

As the title states. 2 new GL games coming soon. I have inquired to GL is they will be Xperia PLAY optimized and of course been waiting a week for Nova 3 and 2 days for Asphalt 7 without a peep from GL.... no surprise their customer service skills blow.... still its 2 new GL games.... heres to them hopefully being Xplay optimized and to not sucking
I wouldn't doubt that they're Xperia Play Optimized. While the quality is iffy, they've at least been somewhat diligent about trying to support the Xperia Play. My only worry is this horrible habit Gameloft's recently gotten into where they suck 5-40MB off the phone storage as "data" so that we can't move to the SD card (at least, not without going through partitioning hell)... that's murderous for a phone like ours that has 400MB.
Personally, what I wanna see is Max Payne, Monster Shooter and Stellacept Online in my database
NOVA 3 is supposed to drop any day now. Since Asphalt 7 is a GS3 launch title, I am sure we will see that at the end of the month.
I wonder if Rockstar has just forgotten about us Android gamers.

well i love nova since its a neat ripoff halo for mobile -> seeing it turns to crysis is even greater, but...how big are the chances that this game is not going to lag on our devices. after gangstar 3 and earlier MC3 lag updatecircle on-off, i dont that it will bring me fun instead of frustration. face it, its now like on pc, where good programming means **** instead of proper power devices to handle laggy codes.
As for MC3 the initial release was smooth. It was until not too long ago it lagged and had terrible controls due to an update. Still running itial.release and it's great. Always decline the update

MC3 is unplayable for me, Controls suck and I went to touch controls. Don't play it much.
Burnout...sorry I mean 'Asphalt' is the only decent Gameloft game in my opinion. It's the only one I still play today.

Right now, only teaser of trailer (Jesus Christ!) but at least we know it's coming. No official info about Freemium or not (hopefully the second one) and Xperia Play support with our game-panel. Gameloft is very good company but with some known problems (relase dates, lack in support, bugs sometime, and freemium in most 2013 games), but I'm very positive about next Gangstar, hope they want make a fight with GTA on Android/iOS so they won't ruin game with some IAP. There you go some pictures leaked and one video. No exact relase date etc.so don't be too excited .
UPDATE:
Game is out now, and it's huge, there is a problem with Xperia Play compatibility via Google Play, but if you finally realized how to get game itself with apk and data obb, it is fully working on our device with our touchpanel + sticks . Yayy! Hopefully new GL games will have the same situation, cause I think for Gameloft is just few minutes to make it working on XP, just the most big problem is performance and graphics, but it can be handle if we have graphics options inside the game .

First Dev diary released and shows off some of the gameplay and also they tell us that they are using the same havok engine from MC4. Kinda hoping this will be optimized as would be one of the best sandbox games ever for Xperia Play .

Less offtop, it looks like we will get preety nice gameplay with lot of features (cards, fights, desert), hopefully, just last time (or no) - Gameloft please, optimize it for Play, and no lags at all (not on high for sure ).

Yes I hope it runs well on the play because that looks awesome and id much rather play it over gta vice city if its optimized. Was the other version gangsta Rio optimized?

Yes, fully optimized but has a few lag issues. As this is on a new engine we hope it will run alot better.
Gangstar Rio lagged? I never experienced that before, it was always smooth; stock ROM and stock kernel.
Anyway, very excited for this. I just hope since it'll be using Havok engine, it won't be carrying over the problem that MC4 has which is lagging with Wi-Fi off but smooth as butter with Wi-Fi on.
If they are running it off the Havok Engine then the Graphics should be Sweet! , But i hope Gangstar actually bother with more things like tilting on bikes for wheelies and i hope they make it XPO as well as making it SMOOTH!, Im sure they can... As some games like Dead Trigger or ShadowGun (Hint Hint) do GREAT in optimization for the Play,
We will have to push the Roms and Kernels to ULTIMATE performance if Gameloft Ends support,

UHHHH???????? For me it shows as "Requires Android:2.3 and up".
No cash in my Wallet to download this. Will have to check again in some days.

Wow, people lose faith so easily. How many times now has someone thought the lack of one game spelled the doom of Xperia Play? ...and how many times has that ended up not being the case?

It lists my PLAY as incompatible, which sucks, but the game itself is beautiful on my other devices. I'm not going to get anything done at work tonight for sure.
