Recently, I've upgraded my galaxy note 10.1 to firmware Stock ICS 4.1.2. After the incident, my tablet failed to be detected by my computer. However, when connected to the computer, it still charges. Should I do a factory reset? Also, I have not done any rooting on my device yet. Thank you for your time.

Kies is the problem. You may have to reinstall it to get the drivers loaded properly on your PC. Samsung certainly could do a better job of programming Kies. Good luck.

I am started to hate Kies and now I'm starting to really hate everything!!
I'm trying to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Wi-Fi UK GT-P6210 Build number: HTJ85B P6210XXLB1.
I thought I could upgrade via Wifi but apparently it doesn't work (and it doesn't) and I have to use Kies. The ADB USB drives install but the MTP drivers just will not install. I've tried all the workarounds I could find, installed and reinstalled, reset my Samsung and restarted my PC. Same problem. Tried on my Laptop. Didn't work. Downloaded a new Windows MTP driver. I mean this is ridiculous.
Also if I use this SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe or the Kies versions I get a long list of drivers and no indication of which one is the correct one. I tried all of them. Same result.
What next? Destroy it?
Hello guys. I've been having this problem with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 GT-P3113 ever since I flashed Cyanogen mod on it. I would like to set it back to stock firmware but for some reason my PC wont recognize my tablet as a device. My tablet will charge and I also have USB debugging on but still my windows 8 laptop wont recognize my tablet.
So here is my problem in a nutshell:
I Cant find the stock rom for my tablet
My tablet cant connect to my computer
Please help me. I would rather not spend another couple hundred dollars on a new one.
Thanks!
-Isaiah
The only way to go back to stock (factory state) is flashing a backup, which is recommended before installing Cyanogenmod or any other custom rom. Other than that, if you're lucky, you can try and find the stock firmware for your P3113.
The issue of your P3113 not connecting to your PC via USB: Try powering off the tablet completely. Connect your tablet to your PC via USB. It should install the USB drivers. When it's done, disconnect your device, boot up the tablet completely. Connect the tablet to your PC again with the USB. If you don't see a change, try enabling USB debugging. I had the same issue with my P5113. This worked for me.
Hello. Newb here so sorry if i make lots of mistakes.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2012) n8010 that is stuck in a boot loop, only flashing up the Samsung note logo then rebooting.
I am able to get into Android system recovery and Odin mode on the tablet.
It reads the SD CARD.
I have wiped data, factory reset and wiped cache partition.
It will not connect to my PC (tried 3 different ones) via the usb cable. I have the drivers installed via the Samsung_Galaxy_Note_ToolKit but the PC's just say USB Device Not Recognized unknown Device Hardware device not connected to this computer (Kies is not installed).
So i cant use the PC to connect to the tablet to use the tool kit or ODIN to flash any recovery.
Does this mean its most likely a hardware problem?
Faulty cable?
Is there a STOCK/CUSTOM ROM that i can install using the ANDROID SYSTEM RECOVERY via a .zip file that i can put on the SD CARD that will pass the signature verification to set it booting normally?
Thank you in Advance for any advice or suggestions.

I have seen this condition a lot lately.
How old is your Note 10.1, do you have the original factory cable and what condition is it in?
Not being able to connect to your computer is not good.

I bought it 0ct 2012 so its passed the 1 year warranty. Haven't contacted Samsung yet.
If it becoming common then is a mass complaint of all the effected units in order?
The cable is the original factory one. Seems fine on the outside. It charges normally and the PC sees it connected but just as an unknown device.
Tried to connect with the Kies (after downloading and installing) not still no connection.
Might try connecting it to my sisters Mac book tonight.
Buy a new cable?
Any repairers in the England sussex area to fix if worst comes to the worst?
Thanks

Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung tablet (GT-P3100) running Android 4.4.2 kitkat (3.0.101-mokee-Espresso 10++)-NIGHTLY.The tablet doesn't connect to my laptop..
It gives a "USB not recognised error". I reinstalled Samsung kies twice, downloaded the drivers from other sources and installed but in vain.
The cable i am using is a usb+charging cable that came with the tablet. I would like to mention that the problem came a month after i installed the Mokee rom(in the mean time everything was working fine).
Using the same cable, however, i am able to charge the tablet.
The tablet shows no other error.
The laptop is Dell Latitude E6320 (original windows 7 professional).
Any help and an early response would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!
(Till then i m using connectify hotspot to share fling files which is slow and it also takes time setting up).

try to uninstall drivers from pc, and install it again. maybe fix
sry for my bad english
I usually keep flashing ROMS.
This time in sheer confidence I didnt charge the battery full.
I was switching from mokee 4.4 to CM11.
I wiped everything for a fresh install and unfortunately CM11 didnt install.
The tab restarted and now it wont go into recovery. what just happened?
It is just showing logo and I cannot get into Odin more either.
The tab had about 30% battery when it shut off and I cannot reach a charger for it for the next 4 hours.
Can I switch it off in any way to save battery?
the phone has switched off now. Is service center the only alternative? the tab was rooted with mokee installed.

Try charging it when you have time and then try re flashing the stock Rom before taking it to service center
will the tab 2 charge without a recovery or ROM in place?

I think it should
Ok, the tab2 is charging. thank you
I installed all the necessary drivers and odin and recovery on my laptop.
The tab2 is giving error on pc (this device wont start) mtp uSB. THe tab is stuck at 'samsung p3100' logo.
If it is any help, I have a working p3100 also running on stock firmware.
what should be my next step? I think I can manage if only I can get odin to recognize my phone or get into recovery (both of which seem to be missing.)

Try reinstalling drivers
@shsagnik : Thank you very much for helping out.
I got installed all drivers by using the other P3100. But when I connect the bricked p3100, pc doesnt install MTP USB drivers. Under device manager it says " failed to start".
ODIN doesn't recognize it. either.
My mistake was I flashed everything on the phone including the internal memory.
PS: Can I force ODIN to recognize my phone?
Ok, my almost bricked device is back and runnning.
This might just help somebody. but my android handset was on a logo only mode. something in the combination of
Attaching it to pc (windows 7 64-bit)
re-installing and rejigging drivers
trying to let ODIN identiify
connecting via Samsung kies (I also tried restore on kies).
connecting a working android phone instead of the dead phone with pc to find and install drivers.
worked.
PS: I also let it sit dead powered off (worked only when charger was attached) for a whole day before trying to boot into recovery or bootlaoder (both worked).
