Hi to all
I opened this thread because i couldn't find one with exactly the same problem.
A friend of mine got a sensation with a really strange strange battery behavior.
Sometimes it just shuts down and then she isn't able to turn it on again. She never reaches the homescren. It seems to turn off always before. Like she wouldn't have enough battery left to turn it off.
After about 5 tryies she suddenly has about 40% left and it's no more problem.
The battery also drops suddently for about 10 to 20%
Does anyone has a solution for this problem. I'll wipe her phone to see if it solves anything, but I'm not sure if this is enough...
Thanks in advance

Get a new battery. They are pretty cheap these days. For example, an Anker one with 1900mAh is just 9.99£ on Amazon.

So you mean there is no other way. Like a hard reset? the battery is only 1.5 years old. Thought they get older

hey there,
umm, u see, this Senny's got a few problems with battery, which "wrong percentage reading" is one of'em.
but about the random shut downs, put a little portion of a credit card, a several-times-folded paper or stuffs of this sort between the battery and the top part of it to be firm. like this picture.: (HUGE THANKS TO kushXmaster FOR THE PICTURES WHICH I GOT FROM HIS POST )

In sensation the battery area is kinda loose, its a manufacturer issue. As ashkan said, place a small plastic foil to fill the gap under the battery. I'm using those medicine pill holding plastic, such as panadol etc.

Lol... only 1.5 years old... anyway, the stock battery cause problems like randoms reboots and spontaneous battery drains. When I still had the stock battery in my phone, my phone was at 50% battery then it randomly rebooted and when it finished turning on it said that I had 4% battery left. This behavior occurred to me frequently until I got a non-stock, 1900mAh battery from Amazon. With this non-stock battery I've had no battery related random reboots at all (I know this because I'm usually the one causing the reboots with overclocking ) and I've had no spontaneous battery drains.

Alright sadly all my words effords couldn't solve the problem...
I placed the paper like mentioned on the pictures but the reboots didn't stop.
Do you guys guess that buying a new battery would solve the problem?

aha! i think i found it!! i had exactly got the reboot problem, n it is NOT related to the battery, i think you've made sumthin up relating to yo bootloader! listen, put this thing I linked to, in the root of your sd card, then boot into bootloader n it'll automatically start update progress by generating the file n asking u to accept using volume up key, hope ur problem goes away , as mine did.

Well the device doesn't have root so i can't put a file into the root :/ booting into the bootloader shouldn't be a big problem. But installing a file is a bit difficult :/
And where exactly am i able to find the file?
Thanks in advance for your help

well, i meant the main section of the sd card by "root".
after wards, follow this guide to s-off and root your phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26280760
and follow this as well, in order to flash 4ext recovery, it would be good to have: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25587345
after all these, do what i said at the former post

Hmm I'll think about this option. The point is the device isn't rooted because it's mine
I'll think about to root it.
Could you attache the file once more? I can't see it at your post.

I'm ordering a HOS today and I was wondering if the black version was still chipping?
Is there anybody who has had their black HOS for more than 2-3 weeks without any chipping? and is HTC doing anything about the issue or should I simply go for the gray version?
thanks in advance
I think they solved it... They have replaced the bad one(s)

I have a Galaxy Nexus, and would like to remove Verizon's name from the front of my lock screen, Is that possible?
Moved to General Q&A.
Try this, but make a Backup before! I am not shure that it will work on your Phone

Dear all,
Due to the fact that the prizes for the above mentioned phones are at the same level, I would need some help for deciding for the one or the other. The LG one will obviously get an unlocked bootloader soon, but for the SII there are more custom ROMs available.
Your comments are welcome and thanks in advance for your help.
Kind regards
markmu

Definitely recommend this phone.. If you're looking for a phone with a keyboard, then look no further. There are awesome ROMs which have been cooked by an awesome member REV3NT3CH. Battery life with custom ROMs are pretty awesome.. Something between 20 to 40 hours depending on your usage. Would definitely recommend this phone to any keyboard lover..

Some of my ROMs do also have active display...I also use an extended battery which I believe I got shipped from Germany lol that makes it last even longer...I've had over 4 days on it once without it dying or rebooting on me
