Google Ears is a new music identification App (Shazam alike) by Google that comes pre-installed with Jelly Bean. Because the target SDK is 14, it can be used with ICS, too.
Usage
1.) Obviously: Listen to music
2.) Tap on the widget to start identification
Tip: If it doesn't get it in the first instance, try recording the chorus.
The app is connected to the Play Music Store. By tapping on the album art of the search result you will be redirected to the Play Music store so you can - if you like to - buy the song right away. Note: The Play Music store is available in the U.S. only, so you can't buy the songs from the Play Music store unless you live in the U.S.. However, the core functionality - the music identification - is working regardless of your location.
Install
Download Zip to SD and install via recovery.
Download
com.google.android.ears-1.0.1-signed.zip (585.65 KB)

The All-In-One Toolbox (14 Tools) is like your tools hub on your Android device. You can access various system tools all in one app. No need to download separate apps for these 14 tools:

You can easily preserve your privacy by erasing the call logs, Internet history, or messages instantly in the app. You can also select multiple apps and uninst3ll them at the same time.
The app includes an 15) add-on battery booster. This is not included among the default 14 tools. You will have to manually download the add-on for free from the Google Play Store.
The All-In-One Toolbox (14 Tools) is ad-supported and can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. Ads will only appear at the bottom of the screen and don’t interfere with navigation. Depending on your needs the answers will vary like the previous poster stated...
IMHO, the most useful apps (for me) are:
- Flash (Get latest from adobe archives, because they have stopped developing for Android)
- A Tor based browser to circumvent any national blocks. (There is a combined package)
- Google Drive, so you can edit/share spreadsheets etc without filling your SD card.
I'm sure there will be many more things you will get interested in...

Well that's all for now, 3M

SwiFTP it enables an Android phone or tablet to easily share files with computers or other devices over a wifi network. These computers only need to have an FTP client, which all computers do. You can walk around with your MP3/video/ebook/whatever collection and share it seamlessly with almost any wifi-enabled system.

There have been several instances where it would be more comfortable to run an Android app on my computer than to use my smart phone. I have tried running Android in a VirtualBox and it does work, however, Android is its own OS that you still need to boot into. But what if you could run an Android APK directly in Ubuntu? Well.... you can!*
Google released a Chrome app named ARC Welder, which allows you to run Android apps if you’re on the Chrome OS or using the Chrome web browser. Grab the ARC Welder Chrome app here (200MB)...
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/arc-welder/emfinbmielocnlhgmfkkmkngdoccbadn
Just open the link in Google Chrome or search for ARC Welder in the Chrome app store and install it.
Installing Android apps take a little bit of extra steps, but not a big deal. First, find the Android app you want in the
Mod Edit: Link to site containing warez removed
This will generate an APK download link for the app. Once you have downloaded an APK file, open the ARC Welder app in your Chrome browser (thru the browser apps link). The first time you run ARC Welder it will ask you where to store files for the apps. Create a folder wherever you like before installing an APK. I created a folder in my HOME directory. Once you do that, simply add your APK file now.
You'll also be asked about the size of your app such as tablet or phone, landscape or portrait. Put them to your liking and then install!
* Here is the caveat. Not ALL Android apps are going to work. Some do, some dont. There’s no guarantee the apps you try will work or that they’ll be usable.
I originally did this so I can run an investment app called "Robinhood" (pictured at the top of this post) to buy and sell stocks without paying any commission fees. The app is nice, but its much easier to use it on a desktop computer. Other apps I have tried that work are basic programs like "Bitcoin Checker" and "Coin Pirates" and "Backgammon Free". Programs that require heavy graphics like car racing games probably wont work. Hulu DID work for me, Netflix did NOT. Your mileage may very.
Have fun and Good Luck!
