[APP/WIDGET][ICS/JB] Google Ears 1.0.1 - Sound Search for Play Music - 7/12/2012 - Nexus One Themes and Apps

Google Ears is a new music identification App (Shazam alike) by Google that comes pre-installed with Jelly Bean. Because the target SDK is 14, it can be used with ICS, too.
Usage
1.) Obviously: Listen to music
2.) Tap on the widget to start identification
Tip: If it doesn't get it in the first instance, try recording the chorus.
The app is connected to the Play Music Store. By tapping on the album art of the search result you will be redirected to the Play Music store so you can - if you like to - buy the song right away. Note: The Play Music store is available in the U.S. only, so you can't buy the songs from the Play Music store unless you live in the U.S.. However, the core functionality - the music identification - is working regardless of your location.

Try wiping its data through the application settings and retry.
Maybe a silly question but is this worth installing outside the US? That is, is the player worth installing as a standalone bearing in mind I couldn't use the Google Music service?
Can we use lockscreen for swaping tracks?

Under Settings, have you selected a Google account to bind to Music?
The ugliest music player ever.
It's cool to try out, nothing compelling about it. No Equalizer, but playlist functions are nice. I'm sure it'll get better when it officially comes out.
Thanks for the info! But not working on my Phone!
Hm, i don't like this Player.
Meh. Still ugly. The original froyo aosp player was better and simpler. HTC Music player is also better.
what theme is that?
Thanx
Thanx my friend!!!! Works fine on my Sensation!!!
oh.. why can't used beats audio.........
Hmm weird. Phone says cannot open file. I downloaded via QR code over wifi, so I'm kinda boggled.
Ok after installing Music from my phone, I can install this. However, I get this message:
What is that "SJ" there for?

Google Play Store (Android Market) v3.5.15 + Mod

What's in this version:
You now have the Installed and All tabs you can swipe between. The former one is what we used to have before - it lists all apps installed on your device. The latter lists all apps you've ever installed in case you want to download them again or travel down the memory lane. This is quite handy, and I've seen this list before in the Play Store on the web, so it's great to get it here in the mobile app.
The All tab contains a handy dropdown with all your accounts (if you added more than one) and lets you switch between them very easily (as opposed to clicking Menu, etc).
A few of the stock apps that apparently never got linked to the Play Store before got identified and picked up this time, and updates to them were waiting for me when I fired the Store up. I've complained about this very bug in my last rant, and it looks like someone listened.
Mod version features:
Unlimited access to apps in Google Play Store
Removed countries restriction in Google Play Store
Fixed the issue which your device is not compatible with this item in Google Play

In 2012, Apollo became the official music app for CyanogenMod. It was beautiful, functional, and completely customizable, as you might expect from the world's most popular ROM. Today, Apollo is available on the Play Store.
The player comes in two flavors: regular, and +. Apollo+ removes ads and offers quicker updates for a mere $0.99. On the subject of future updates, there are a number of features that are promised to come soon, including tablet support, concert info, customizable widgets and notifications, and Google Dream support. For those wondering, gapless playback isn't a planned feature, it's a current one. Go to the source site and get the download links..
You can grab either the free Apollo or the $0.99 Apollo+ via the widgets below. If you're running CyanogenMod, the player probably came bundled as a stock app. If you want to install this one for whatever reason, you may need to disable the stock app in Settings, or live with two identical icons in your drawer.
I don't think Apollo+ is the same as Apollo in Cyanogenmod: according to the Play Store it works on Android 2.3 and has a different package id at least. I think CM users deserve Apollo+.

I don't know if it was this app or CM10.1 messing up, bu tright after installing this app and trying to add it to the home screen (and it said no room was available because I missed the folder), every app force closed, then pretty much all of my apps data was erased. I mean for every app.
I had to update google play services after rebooting too.

same facebook app or is it via their website?
samsung:
in app:
on click:
nexus 5
in app:
on click: (directly in video...)
when i go back in facebook -> the video plays in the facebook app ^^
I have the same issue you do, it plays in facebook's own video player not your devices video player. This started happening 2 updates ago, it's Facebook doing this it's not your device. I believe it's Kit Kat there is no video support aside from the Facebook player itself.
Update: Just Google Facebook apk 3.7 and it works just like you want it. You can use MX Player or any other video player and even download the video/s.
