this is my first thread in the forum
i bought the O3D LG-P920 before 2 weeks
and its a great device
running on official 2.2
didnt had any proplem ( just the low performance battary)
anyway iam planning to upgrade to the 2.3 GB
and iam afraid of having problems with the download
and from the bugs too
i heard that is huge bug called ghost call
wat is it
can anyone advice me plz
and is it safe to overclock ur CPU >?

Some people reporting no ghost call is encountered!! however, i do not recommanded you to go to gb, if u encounter any ghost call, it will drive you crazy like me and you will doubt when will the next ghost call come!! my girl friend always complain my phone as rubbish after i upgrade to gb!!! i think the reliability to receive call is the important for a mobile phone!!!
or you can wait for the update or report in the xda saying that which version is ghost call free in gb
i am also waiting for the ghost call free version that drive me to look for the forum everyday

by myself ). I would update
with the lg mobile support tool
because it is very is and the risc
isn't very high to brick it. Overclocking
is a little bit dangerous but i neverh had
problems with it (with Titan Kernel
up to 1,43Ghz without reboots )

This post give me a lot of inspiration to customize my rom and this me higher speed and memory. But always do a backup before u do this, it may brick your phone if you do this carelessly, i have one experience on it without backup, finally, i have to reflash the phone and set up all the things from start point
also you can install the 'supercharger v6 script' to boost the performance, lastlly, install the " autostart " apk to give your management of your booting application.

I would start with rooting my phone
(if you root your phone you can everything
on your phone like deleting system apps,
run root scripts like the v6 supercharger,
install new roms (edited versions of android)
like thiaz O3D or CyanogenMod, run root
apps like the sixaxis controller(only on CM
with the O3D) or romtoolbox(really great app!)
and you need root to overclock the phone!
With Froyo I would root it with SuperOneclick
just google it (sometimes the older versions
work better).

I saw ur post i clicked replay to write to u
When i was writing the phone freezed
Nothing were able to dose
Then i restarted my phone to solve it
I was writing with the LG keyboard
Now my quistion is how to put rom to phone i want rom that everythings works fine EVERYTHING !!!
And. When i am installing it
Dose it effect my apps on sd card and my gallery and videos

Ok first you need root superoneclick for froyo aand megatron root for v20 gingerbreads most of the roms on the forums are gingerbread now so u might try updating with the official updater or flashing a kdz your self after root you need to install clockworkmod and back your phone upbefore you do anything. I have never has ghost calls on my phone I'm on acidhazard rom and v20c basebandand its awsome.
If u update official you'll keep everything if u flash kdz manualy ull only keep what's on your sd card you can use titanium back to save your apps look for the thread flashing kdz and returning to stock and there's a thream for installing clockwork mod

cwm-recovery and for recovery
you need root, but you need'nt
install a rom.

cwm isn't dangerous by it
self, but if you make an mistake
like to fergett wiping data
it can be dangerous, for example
bootloop or you reboot always
to recovery mode. In that case
you need your backup or you flash
an kdz or bin with your computer.
There are already tutorials in the forum

hello recently i update from 2,2, to 2.3 with kdz files ( i tried V21E V21A and v21d )
and accrued 2 problems 1st problem was wifi reception was really badly sometimes could not connect even at a very close distance
then i tried to flash some roms both thaiz and acura and some more i found
the roms was for GB baseband ( i had a 2.3 baseband since i update with kdz files ) so when i flash a rom with clockworkmod
the phone opens and did not ask for pin number and could not connect to operator and said something like organizing bla bla
any ideas ??
so i downgrade to 2.2 baseband ( latest v10k ) and flash a acura rom for 2.2 baseband and works like a charm
any ideas guys ? for 2.3 updates
no one has this problem ??

thanks for the reply but i already used it
i believe my phone is not Greek but German or something else from EUrope
in the past was a site from official LG where at the end of the link you put your EMEI and it tells you from where is your phone
unfortunately the link in not working either the site where downloading kdz files
so i think i have to try something like open europe kdz or not know
by now i have flashed the basebands kdz over 10 times with not luck

i flashed almost every kdz for GB
also i tried to flash bin files (same problem) (f*** wifi)
the pin problems are not more but wifi problem still exists
i also tried the official method through lg but same problem
i guess i have to stuck to Froyo
but i also guess that i am going to get rid of this phone and never again buy Lg phone
my next will be for sure galaxy s2 or s3 maybe

Hi xda comunity,
i have problems with installing the recovery on the ported 4.0.4.
i searched everywhere and now im tried about 3 methods and everytime i haved to reflash the rom.
Now im on the portet rom 4.0.4 not from xbsall because i dont know how to get the recovery on it.
i have everything done my phone is rooted, can someone explain me maybe how to flash the recovery now?
i tried the cwm recovery and it doesnt help, how to flash twrp´s revovery?

Well done ,that app is old Milaqs Recovery, btw everytime you say ported ICS not from xbsall you confuse people because the only ported version so far is from xbsall all the rest are custom ROMS.

Hey guys i just bought an Optimus 3D from a friend . He changed stock ROM with an JellyBam 3.2.0. My question is : How can i get it back and use 3D mode , or what ROM is easy to install which supports 3D an all his stuff . My baseband is V21a (don't know very much about this) . If there are anyone who can tell me exactly what steps and which custom ROM i need to use please help me. I got stuck in so much threads didnt understood too much. Thanks

First of all, you need to know wich rom you want, because if you want to go back to gb you have to do other steps then if you want to go on ics... if you want 3d and everything try to flash ics, maybe darkroom ones or xbsas rom.

i've read xbsas's guide but i'm not sure what i need to do. I need to inverse 2 pins on usb cable or something like that , i dont know how to change baseband and stuff , seems preety hard, atm i have jellybam 3.2.0 , was the only one where camera works . In other roms camera was freezing. Anyway if there is an easier way to install that ICS let me know . Thanks again

Yes, its very easy, you dont have tpo cross any cable, you have to flash two files via smartflash. Camera is working on ported ics, im using darkrooms rom and so far i dont have problems.
I will search the right thred you need and post it here.
Edit: this is the first step you have to do, the files you need to flash bin and fls is in xbsas thred for first ported rom

This is very usefull , thanks man ,, i have 1 more question. Do i need to change baseband first then to flash ROM via smartflash?
And what about darkrooms rom , he has any bugs or stuff? if you have no problems with it i should consider flashing that one

Yes you can flash darkroom ones i have no issus so far, everything works great and i use it 2 weeks now. You can flash darkrooms one bit first you need to flash the first ported rom. Then root it and then you can flash darkrooms. At least flash baseband. You can flash basebsnd after you flash ported it doesnt matter

So i dont need to change baseband first or something like this . Just like i said mine is V21a. So it should work right w/o problems right? And other thing: i use win7 . I might have problems with drivers ?

No, with drivers no problem and whnen you flash the new ported rom, your baseband will be overflashed with another baseband, because when you flash ported rom you flash two files bin and fls, try this baseband when everything works is goid if not change baseband its the same thing like flashing the bin and the fls file but this time you add only fls file you will understand this betterwhen you tried to flash ported rom first time

i have some problems with drivers. even if i hold power up button i get other than omap4430.

But your computer sends a sound when you plug in you smartphone, if yes, then open devoce manaher it will show up you smartphone, you must be fast click on it and install the right driver like in tutorial

yes it shows up , imma try more today , hope it works ,
tried on windows xp and only way to install omap is to go to add new hardware , have disk , and when i install it it shows yellow sign and says that hardware couldnt start . dunno what to do
even if i follow steps it doesnt install omap , it installs other things like composite devices etc

You have too choose the right driver, when it shows up you smartphone click on it fast and install driver manually.

nah i cant get it done , on xp i cant install omap (i get yellow sign) and on win 7 32 bit i get omap driver but i cant get other ones this sucks

Omap is the right one, if you had installed omap, then everything is right. In the next step you have to change comport from omapdriver.

Ok pay attention, when you installed the driver, put out battery from your smartphone, and everything else. Afzer that, connect usbcable with your pc ( not with your o3d) only woth pc. Then connect it with your o3d and hold vol up button in the time you connect your smartphone. DONT RELESE THE VOL UP BUTTON IN THIS PROCESS. Your pc do a sound that the phone is connected, then it does the sound that it is disconnected, when your pc made the 3rd sound that you smartphone is connected put fast the battery in your phone, DONT RELESE THE VOL UP. wait until you get sw mode on screen. After that you can configure the port 41 in device manager. I made a pic for you..

ok so i suceeded with OMAP driver but in windows xp keeps beeping , i mean it apears then dissapears and so on
Hi! I am a new XDA-user, and I am having serious trouble to flash my LG 3D P920. I used Xda before to flash my sony xperia x8, but this is by far more difficult for me. I have to say english is not my first language so maybe that's part of the problem. My mobile is new, and has the 2.2 installed (from the package), I want to install ICS (the xsball one) to install darkrom afterwards. I think most of the problem comes from drivers or something. I've tried to flash ICS using smartflashtool and lg flashtool. Smartflashtool doesn't recognise my cellphone, and LG Flashtool asks me for a pass and user. I've been searching a lot on the forums and can't quite get the easier way to do it.
Any help?

Hello,i have some problems also,my phone cant turn on now....except i use wall charger or usb...but the screen only stuck in a battery charging logo....do u have any solutions?
Well, thanks to berni big help I got it all working. Now I only have a doubt related to Baseband. I think I don't have 3g because I only see an R on the top (not H or 3g or anything) and internet goes slooooow. That looks like a BB problem. I checked with getril and what I see is:
Ril: UNKOWN and a bunch of numbers
Baseband recommended LGP920AT-V21D
and below:
LGP925 V10E
So I don't know wich BB I have.
Any help?
