I've read the rules and it appears this is okay to do, so long as we do not share software that costs money, and that we give credits to the right owner/dev or claim that we do not own said software.
NOW, for what this is, Basically I ran into a problem once where an apk file was NOT visible in the app store (Google Play Market). This turned out to be that my devices were "not compatible". In my opinion they were just as compatible as any as both had ICS at the time (the latest OS at the time with the latest builds), I understand STOCK versions of my hardware with STOCK versions of 3.2 and 2.2 would NOT work thus being incompatible so "why show it?" became the store's philosophy. I couldn't even see it from MY PC???? (however I COULD when not signed in)
Anyways, long story short I found the apk file (after several months and a few "Yeah its in the store, your thread is now closed" paraphrases), and I have now uploaded it to Google Drive and shared it publicly for anyone to use. It WORKS on BOTH my tablet and phone (Acer A500, Samsung SGH-T679) nearly perfectly.
RULES FOR POSTING BELOW.
1) When asking, please describe IN DETAIL the software you would like, perhaps even adding a link.
2) When REPLYING, please QUOTE the asker's question.
3) When replying, always include the following: APP Title, APP Author, YOUR DISCLAIMER (no liability, this is not my software, etc), and the LINK to the software (and if forwarded, describe how its forwarded), and as much other info as you can gather (such as a URL to the play store, developer's site, etc)
4) BE POLITE IN ASKING, NOBODY OWES YOU ANYTHING. People are just doing this out of their own hearts, try to pay it back at least once over, use an app called "APK SHARE", email it to yourself, upload it somewhere and post it.
Please click the little "Thanks" button (wherever it went) for this idea
TO DEMONSTRATE, I will show you how to begin with.
Does anyone have the Kijiji Canada app? I do not see it in the Google Play Store yet many people/forums/sources are proclaiming it IS visible or available.

Did you not read his post where he clearly states in CAPS that it is a DEMONSTRATION.
Great idea though, there are quite a few times where I've had to scour the internet for an app that was apparently "incompatible".

Has anyone got a result that's not "Secure"? So you know it works.
Take a look also to AndroTotal (andrototal.org).
It is specifically thought to scan suspicious Android APKs against multiple antivirus apps, so that you can easily have an idea of the app maliciousness.
Thanks alot. Though link shifted to http://scan.nq.com/
also virustotal works fine too.

Sites got major problems, it wont upload a file to check it, at the time I'm posting this.
15min to up an apk, still no go.

When MegaUpload was taken down lots of the other sites voluntarily went down. MultiUpload was one of them.
Thanks
so multiupload went offline?, i cant cant connect to it all day,im sure i downloaded something yesterday..just when im free to flash my phone.
I have the same problem. I think it's the next victim of SOPA
It's completely Down! Check link below (Remove space)
host-tracker. com/check_res_ajx/9788492-0/
Same here, I can't download madmack's ROM, link is down for some days now.
yep...down ;-(
It's really annoying, I lost a load of files I didn't have locally, and also have no idea how many downloads they have.
It was working on Feb 9th, as Google has a cached page from then.
It's going to be increasingly hard to find good, free upload places in the future since the US government is poking around with file download services.
Once again, the innocent get the short end of the stick...
I found a way to access MultiUpload. From what I can tell it has more than one IP that the domain resolves to, the current IP is down/timing out yet I have found another IP that works. You will have to edit your hosts file (Google) for multiupload to resolve to the backup IP and not the IP that is timing out. (If this works for you could you pass it around so others are made aware of it, Try to credit where possible). Here it goes, add this in your hosts file (Make sure to remove spaces):
pastebin. com/eZpEp9qz
That is all you need to do. Hope it works,
MiracleM4n
It sounds like the data might be lost for good soon depending on a few decisions. I'm not saying I like how it was handled, but if you know of a way to get your data out, the sooner the better.
edit edit edit edit
Well, looks like the server is down, nothing to do with the US/SOPA etc.
There is a workaround, use this instead of multiupload.com
85.17.76.195
then put in the download alphanum code eg.
85.17.76.195/1GA9HET58U
Works 100%!! and it seems legitimate because I was able to download the actual file, this and many others.
Hope this is helpful!
I doubt Multiupload will be taken down but download your files just in case

this doesnt exactly have to do with mobile devices , but im sick of techhelpspot results appearing in most of my google searches that would otherwyse send XDA results, the only thing that site does is steal the info here in the forums, and then giving you a link to xda (and other tech sites)
i cant see a way to block it , so i wanted to make sure its not something in my pc hijacked or anything else.
example using google.com (us) example search: galaxy s3 clock aokp
here is an example image with results:

another one: atrix hd swype apk
any idea why is this happening or if its only me?
i hate to go there just to click on a link that will bring me here, i think that site is new, xda results used to come on top before.
*MODS if not correct forum section please move or delete. thank you
Happens to me too.. hate it. It's just spam search engine designed to steal ad revenue :/

It's basically a search engine but designed for finding similar questions. Kind of useful, but also a bit annoying.
When you do a Google search, just include
site:forum.xda-developers.com
At the start and it will only search within the XDA forums.

XDA wasn't even on the first page, yet all the information on techstupid was from XDA...
After submission, Google suggested this add-on https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-webspam-report-by/efinmbicabejjhjafeidhfbojhnfiepj , which I have to say I will use relentlessly, and I recommend you do the same. It allows you to navigate to the webspam site, then click a button and have the form auto-filled for you.
Maybe even better though, is this add-on, https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/personal-blocklist-by-goo/nolijncfnkgaikbjbdaogikpmpbdcdef which allows you to click "Block xxxxx.com" from the search results. I think I'll report a few hundred techstupid pages and then click the blocker.
Hope this helps someone else!
Reported to Google! Hate this site so much, waste my time on every search. Hope this stupid techhelpfox.com site to die soon.

nice.
I can't rate on play cause no g+ account.
but I'll use it to inform my kids what's in their favorite junk.
you might want a direct play store link in the OP. the one there now only goes to the play browser page and my finicky Webview_classic phone browser won't initiate download from there.

OP is OriginalPost or OriginalPoster. The first post in a thread.
The link there went to the play webpage with the app details the first time I clicked it on the phone.
Now, reading it, it's formatted exactly right according to the link I posted, and not only that, this time when I clicked your link on the phone to test it again it went to the play store like it was supposed to.
I dunno what the deal was. It's working fine now.
Again, nice app.

Hi I have sifted through the site and found this may be the appropriate area to ask this, please forgive me if I am incorrect. However, I am stumped! I have googled, play stored, and searched high and low. I even asked the author of the video and they said they didn't know but try another app. I am trying to find out what the name of the APP is on this video at approximately 3:25. Thanks ahead, and sorry if I posted in the wrong area.
Well I cannot post outside links, but if you go to YouTube and search "Samsung Galaxy Mega Replica Based on Octa-Core Chipset - Hands On" the author is PandaWill, that is the video I am referring too. Please help.

Well after long investigations and some more searching I finally found out what it was. "Ninja Must Die! 2" or 忍者必须死2 if you are looking for the APP. Very cool game, much better than Yoo Ninja IMHO. I think Yoo Ninja might be a clone of this, the first version only came out on iProducts.
Would post links to Google play, Chinese apps but I can't check out Baidu for Chinese apps.
