I use Google Calendar on all my devices, desktop and mobile. Recently my stock TF700 refuses to sync and shows only local entries - although I can see its entries on my other devices. I have other Android devices, for example a NookColor running CM10, and a Nexus 7 and the calendar syncing works just fine with them. Very strange. It used to work.
My Google account is set up correctly, and I'm driving myself crazy trying to find something in Settings that is different from my other devices...
Any suggestions?
Derek

Are you using the stock one or the updated one form google play. If the latter the sync breaks due to incompatibility with the asus sync app so you will need to uninstall the updates. Try that first.
If not try wiping the data on calendar from settings and forcing a resync from your google sync settings.
I use the update from the Play Store - you have to convert it to a system app to get it to work properly...

For whatever reason, after flashing 3.1, Google Talk doesn't work for either of my Apps accounts. It shows me as signed in in the app, but doesn't pull down my contact list or actually send messages. My Gmail account is just fine, tried deleting the accounts in question and no dice.
I am having the same issue with the Motorola Xoom. I am also running 3.1 and have 3 accounts. Anyone else having the same problem?
I posted a bug report here:
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=17252&colspec=ID%20Type%20Status%20Owner%20Summary%20Stars
Mine shows my contact list but doesnt show any messages recently sent since I flashed to 3.1. Also the status shows everyone offline but on my phone it shows the correct availability,,,,mmmmmm weird

Just to be a bit more specific, one account is a regular GMAIL account, and the other 2 are Google Apps Accounts, on separate domains.

I have one Gmail and one Google Apps account. Works fine, Gmail widget haven't disappeared. What about yours? Was your domain upgraded?

Switched syncing on?
Same problem, not on 3.1
I started experiencing this problem on Saturday.
I'm running Prime 1.3r2 with netformer 1.3 NOT 3.1
I have 3 google apps accounts and 2 traditional gmails. All working as intended until Saturday evening. Now only the first account I sign in to works until I do a reboot. The rest incorrectly show status and fail to send messages. During some testing last night my friends we're receiving test messages from a different account on my list regardless of it was signed in or not.
complete wipe and reload (not restore) did not fix the problem, leading me to believe it's on the google side maybe.
So you got the twitter app for honeycomb. And you can sync your account with your tablet. Am I able to do the same thing with the Facebook app? You know since its not officially in the market for the xoom
Facebook app will not sync on xoom. even when it was officially available on market for xoom it would not sync. Funny thing is it does sync on my girlfriends Asus Transformer

It works on the transformer??? Its time to port things over then. If its possible
of course.
I have had my fair share of frustrations with the Facebook app. I get FB notifications when someone comments, inboxes me, etc... but when I check out the app itself, there is no indication of anything new. If I wait a while (probably an hour), my News feed eventually updates itself.
Also, the FB site sucks in the Browser app. It is difficult to tap on the buttons, and everything goes wonky if I try to view a picture. I usually have to switch to portrait to get anything done.
The FB app is useless. It's worse than terrible on the Xoom and almost as bad on my phone. I use Friendcaster.
so... is there a way to import the sync function from older versions of android to honeycomb? (Pre 2.3) or is there another way to get your facebook contacts into your contacts list on honeycomb??
I've mentioned this atvthe end of a previous post elsewhere on these forums, I'm repostibg to be more specific.
How do I get google to sync my calander (completely) to sgs2??.
It's a problem I've had for about a week; google won't sync my entire calander to droid. I've read a lot and it seems I'm not alone in this; yet I've tried all the work arounds, and still nothing.
Any advice?
Also, if I factory reset my device, will I have to root my sgs2 again? (I had done this prior to rooting and still didn't help google calander sync afterwards, it would only sync 1 month's worth of prior events).
Thanks

Settings->Accounts->"your account"->Sync calendar
that doesn't work, it only places the last 30 days of calendar on my droid

Just got my infinity and set it up and it's downloading all the apps I have on my phone, how do I stop it?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
It asked you if you wanted to sync and you pressed yes. Just start over. I don't have it in front of me but go to system, security and look for factory reset.
I thought it meant sync calendar and stuff. What do you mean start over?

In the setting.
I looked I settings, I can't find it, that's why I posted here

It's there just keep looking. Good luck. Enjoy the infinity.
Wait why do I have to factory reset? I just want stop syncing with apps, I still want to sync with calendar and mail
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
He meant to go for a factory reset and deselect the option for syncing from your Google account presented during install. Your mail and contacts are ALWAYS synced for the first account you enter on an Android device (you can disable the sync afterwards, but it will still have synced at least once) -- and you can't delete that account even if you add (an)other account(s) afterwards)
If you're happy with the results so far, there'd be no urgent need to factory reset at all and I'd just disable the account syncing from Settings >> Backup & Reset instead.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T
It will start from scratch. It only takes couple of minutes. It better if you start over and leave no traces of the apps you didn't want or you can delete them one by one. It's just easier. You can still keep the calendar and gmail syncing.

This is a different setting. Your Google accounts sync settings can be found under Account & Sync, and have nothing to do with the app restore done by Backup & Restore. You can freely disable one or the other, or both, if so desired. As I said, you do not have to factory reset if you're happy worth the apps restored thus far. It's the fastest way to get rid of apps you'd rather not have installed on your tablet, though.

If I delete the apps one by one will they redownload with sync still on?

So the backup and restore syncs the apps, and the account sync syncs calendar and stuff?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Whenever I go through the setup of android (whether due to new ROM or new device), I always skip the account stuff until after I have a running system. Then I turn off sync under the Accounts and then finally add my account. It adds a bit more flexibility as to what to sync. For your case, under the Accounts category, you have your list of accounts. Click on the account entry (and not the circular arrows) and you will see a list of all the data types that are available to sync. I don't really see any individual settings for applications, but I do see "Calendar" and "Contacts". Maybe you should try disabling all the items that you don't want and see if it stops the issue.
Otherwise, you can do like was already suggested before and factory reset then do as I mentioned to get control of what you want to sync before everything gets transferred.
Anyone have an idea why my Google bookmarks are not syncing to my TF700T's stock browser? I am on CleanROM 2.3 with Clemsyn's kernel. I try and select sync on stock browser through the sync settings in system settings but it always tells me "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly". Which service does Google to stock browser sync depend on?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T
There was an issue that the bookmark sync apk was missing from the JB ROM, but that shouldn't be an issue on CleanROM...
It's also possible that the Google server is down for maintenance, but I would've thought that would effect more than the bookmarks...
I would try deleting data from the browser and Google Services Framework, and reboot, to make sure it's not something as simple as corrupt data...
I had the same question. Someone one the forum pointed me to com.google.android.syncadapters.bookmarks.apk. Ran it, went to the Google settings, clicked my account, checked sync browser, and synced my acvount. Bookmarks added.
