Encountered issue restoring some apps, e.g. Chrome beta and Rom Manager. There was still about 10 apps that I haven't restored due to being stuck with the Chrome beta and Rom Manager. Will be doing a reflash and factory reset before trying again.
Edit:
In the above scenario, I had already changed to tablet mode, so not sure if that had caused the issue of Titanium restore.
I did a reflash and factory reset. This time round, during Titanium restore, I did not select Chrome, Chrome beta and Rom Manager. I did not change the DPI to tablet mode as well. Still I encountered issue in restoring of Chaos. I rebooted and excluded Chaos, but got stucked with Button Savior.
Looks like something is not right.
I'm going back to my nandroid of SR12 for now. Thanks.
Nice
Flash and restore via TB with no problems.
All GPS apps work great.
Haven't used Button Savior since my HD2.
Loaded fresh copy from Google Play and works good.
I've backed up ROM with TWRP and will be using as my daily runner for a while.
Will advise if I find any negative

I had some issues with TB like that in the past on different devices. I think it's due to the backup for that app being bad. on my GS3 it would always happen on a few apps when I did a batch restore.(the same apps every time) What I found out is that if while it's trying to restore the app and gets stuck, go to the play store and download the app that's hanging once it installs the back up resumes.. I don't know why but it does. Also how I got it to fix permanently is I just deleted the backup after I did what I said above and then rebacked it up and I didn't have that issue again

I redid the flashing and this time, had no problem restoring all apps from titanium. BTW, I was testing an app that needs me to use the dialer. I downloaded a number dialers from play store but it won't dial. Guess some stuff related to a dialer is missing from the ROM.

cool. Yeah there is no phone.apk since it doesn't have calling functionality. I do think it will be added in the next build as well as MMS so that some people can send MMS. I saw the commit on our Gerrit

Under Quick Links, ROM Control, Signal, the color changes to "Signal color" and "WiFi Signal color" appears in the square boxes but not on the status bar. Even with a reboot, it doesn't work. If I'm not wrong, this has been there since build 4.

PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT.
This is not just build.prop dpi mods! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.
Tablet Mode
Phablet Mode
PER-APP-COLOR,
ParanoidAndroid's newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

You need to go into settings to get the Nav bar to appear. I used the early release of this last week. Not sure why they do not auto include the Nav bar on install, but it is there. I promise. Just start digging around.

From a clean install (factory reset, etc.) you SHOULD have the nav bar show up. If not, you can enable by selecting the "System > Navigation bar > Software buttons" checkbox.

i don't see the point in posting a package that mess up recovery and doesn't work...now with the update,it's began the run to "who first compile and post a 4.2 rom"and doing that in a hurry, neither test what they upload....
I've compiled AOSP also but without GAPPS it's as useless as a screen door on a submarine. I could have posted a ROM just like this 24hrs ago but it's useless. You can't sign in, no toggles pull down.. Nothing. It's a web browser and a clock at most.. Just wait for someone to put a legit gapps package together.

I'm just sitting back on 4.1.2 and waiting for development to catch up.. I'm not moving back to 4.2 until the TWRP and CWM team figure out how to deal with Android burying the user folder another level everytime they factory reset.
4.2 is an odd bird.. It really is the Windows Vista of Android.. I don't like it at all and in no real hurry to leave 4.1.2 yet.
I have a question in regards to AOSP ROMs. Isn't the stock Nexus 7 ROM a Pure AOSP rom?
What's the difference between the one compiled by you vs. the one from Google?
Thanks, and much appreciated.

Awesome ROM
Hey thanks for making this. I just had a couple suggestions for ya. The screens sometimes display text in chinese and the play store installed was for ICS and I had to reinstall the JB one so the GAPPS would work right. Other than that super stable so far.
Can you give me an example of when the screen might display Chinese text?
I would call this a port/build as some of the items were used from the SII's rom.

update: i don't think there is an app drawer. from what i can tell when i flashed it, every app that you have installed on your phone will appear on one of the home screens. and from there you can group your apps into different folders if you like. but it seems basically almost like the latest ipods and iphones as far as user interface is concerned in my oppinion when it comes to the apps and an app drawer. but im no pro when it comes to roms. i am just a guy who loves roms giving my oppinion. but yeah so from what i can tell there is no app drawer though.
Nope sorry doesn't have 4.00 gigs sorry. :/ Let me see how to change it. And yes it's like iPhone style no app drawer.
Nope no app drawer. There is also a restriction to taking apps off the home screen. I used different launcher. I still however get the same force close when I hit launcher in options...

Pretty sure it means make sure you're using the most recent stable recovery. Check with twrp or cwm before flashing. Sometimes outdated versions give off errors and can't flash.

Finally got this installed and it is a very nice ROM IMHO. Very much stock aosp there isn't a ton of feature like some of the other aosp ROMs but I really like the smoothness this ROM has to offer and everything works only bug I have is the speaker phone bug is present when in a call if I put on speaker phone I have to reboot to even get back in the dialer app.

Here are the logcats I promised from G+. This is on a clean flash, barebones. Nothing other then TItanium Backup, the loggers, and my favorite file manager added.
Logcat0 is the first time opening PA OTA. It times out and gives ROM not found error, then update not found error.
Logcat1 is the second time opening it, but this time it sees I could use the gapps. It does allow to download as well, yesterday it wouldn't. May have been my location at work (edit: see data issue below).
Logcat2 is me calling the phone, answering and checking all is well. Then I switch to speaker phone and all seems well. Then switch back to and it stays on speaker with no microphone action. I hang up, close the app. Reopen the dialer and its just a white screen. Then it turns black. Close the dialer and reopen with the same issue. Yesterday I thought it rebooted after. Today I confirmed it reboots shortly after. Couldn't pull a kmsg since there's no "/process/last_kmsg" file/location.
Also, after awhile data drops out and won't come back no matter what. Logcat3 is data turned off, then turned back on. This is after it being on and loosing it totally. Seen some USB state changed for this log, yet nothing was ever plugged in.
I also randomly get this simcard issue window shown but haven't been able to grab it.

Thanks for pulling these logs for the devs I am experiencing the same issues not only on this ROM but every Aosp ROM for us sprint users (the data issue). Hopefully they can solve the issues other than that this ROM is rock solid I'm not running it at this moment but much appreciated that you took the logs.

Touchless Control
Will it be possible to have touchless controls from Motorola working again with the device?

Probably not, aosp roms aren't going to have the Motorola features

Hmm, it's not good. No active display, no notifications led
Thanks, ayysir for bringing P.A. to the moto x.
I have one question. Where are P.A. settings and halo?
I hope they still exist.

Link's in the OP but here it is
CYANOGENMOD 12 for T310
Here I present to you CM12 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8 inch T310.
Please take note that this is a very early release and there are stills many bugs. I most likely will not respond to any bug reports for now, so don't waste our time filling the thread with bugs reports. If you know how to fix a bug, then by all means, please share that info here in the thread.
I do not have time to work on this every day, so please be patient and do not ask for ETAs.
Attention T311 and T315 owners:
Currently I am only building for the T310. If I get it to a stable point, I MAY build for you guys. Please do not ask about that for now.
I do not guarantee that I can fix any of the remaining issues. I do not pretend to be an advanced developer and I do this in my spare time, so feel free to use my device tree and compile some builds on your own.
Lastly, this would not be possible without the efforts of @ketut.kumajaya. All device specific source code is forked from his github.
Please do not fill the thread asking "is blah blah is working?" Download and test for yourself.
Major Component Status:
WiFi - Working
Bluetooth - Working
Sound - Working
Sensors - Most Working
[*]Camera - Partially Working
Videos - Working
Installation:
Ensure that have already are using the KitKat firmware. If not, download it from sammobile.com and flash it with Odin.
Ensure you have the latest version of your custom recovery.
Make a backup.
Perform a factory reset in recovery.
Flash the CM12 zip.
(Optional) Flash a Gapps (Google apps) package.
Reboot and Enjoy.
Be patient, the first boot takes about 3 minutes. Much longer if you flash a Gapps package (~10 min).
After installation, go to Settings -> Language & Input -> Current Keyboard and select the Hardware option.
This will allow the on-screen keyboard to display properly.

Boots up great!!! Took about 7 minutes with gapps.
Note: Don't try the CM Camera Fix...it breaks boot!!!
Great start!! But we always knew a 'Nole could get er done,!!!
Edit: Just restored 60 apps and data using TiBu....no problems.

I thought this gonna never come to us, the tablet owners... But I made a mistake... It did :cyclops:
I noticed that Root Access is disabled by default in Developers Options. I have tried my apps with it disabled and activated and it doesn't seem to make any difference.

The only root app I've used so far is the included file manager and it worked fine with root access.

Thank you for all your time and effort in porting cm12.
Feedback: fast and smooth, had some issues with play movies and TV f/c also spmc/kodi fails to play any videos.
Apart from that everything is running beautifully.

Which Gapps did you use? I used the latest nano, and Google App and Setup Wizard are constantly crashing. I've reinstalled twice.
I used pa stock 5.01 beta 7 if that helps

I've tried both. This is definitely frustrating. I was coming from a rooted, but otherwise stock, setup. Philz will load CM but not Gapps. TWRP will load gapps but not CM. I've been doing this for a long time (even running a custom rom on my G Watch), but I feel like a newb. Is there something obvious I'm missing here?

The only thing I can think of is either you're not on 4.4 firmware or you need to update your TWRP to 2.8.3.

Stock might be your problem as parrothead has suggested. I flashed it over gr8nole latest cm11 dated the 15th Jan.
Philz touch/factory reset and voilà.
Works great, I flashed it on twrp 2.8.3 over SlimKat. If anyone have problem with correct root works, disable root in developer settings and flash supersu in recovery. It helps me in 2 apps.
Woot! That's all I have to say!
