Ok so i have this really annoying app on my phone called My Mobile Watchdog. It sends all of my texts and phonecalls to my parents (even though im 18 and pay for my own phone). I was wondering if there was a way to get past this app, like use blocked apps and send texts without them getting it?

Maybe your best solution would be a chat with your parents, they are being unfair. Unless youre a really difficult kid, this seems too much

Freedom comes with restrictions. If you restart your android device in "safe mode" as I am doing know, the restricting applocation will be disable, but so will all other 3rd party apps. However this way, you texts will remain private. Amd all restricitons bypassed.

i wish there was an app that auto responds that u r driving when it detects motion for 2 mins continuously after it receives the message.
I believe a company was going to develop that.. then realized ppl could just ignore the text message without the app.

saw a thing a few days ago, where sprint was going to do this but charge a monthly few ($2), I want the app but monthly is asinine
New TMO phones come with an app called DriveSmart which auto responses to Text/Calls. IDK if it's in the market though.
I created this a few months ago, let me know what you think.

I can not find the app I want. Is there a way to lock out everything except contacts and phone calls? Or a way one of the ROMS can be made to do this. I only use cell phones, no landline. I do not want kids playing/texting when not allowed.

I don't think that's possible. I could be wrong though.
There is. Just get them a dumb phone. But there is nothing that will work 100% as a simple reset will remove anything you do. No apps have been made to make a smartphone not use anything. Well I guess you could get an app locker and then set up a password for each and every single app on the phone and that would make it so a password had to be entered every time the app was used. Other then that yeah get them a normal phone and call it good. To be honest that's what I did. Kids have no need for a smartphone and are not mature enough to only use it when they are supposed to. The temptation is to great to show it off to freinds and what not.
That's what I thought. I was just trying to utilize what I have.

Well you could kill the data by messing up the apns or get an app that will kill the apns at the right times. But nothing that will stop the apps from loading. I know how you feel though. Gave my boys my old tilt2 and fuse and after a few calls from school decided it had to go lol
I am in search of an app to text over wifi. At my sisters house I don't get good service and I have people to text...but everyone is all about the whatsapp messanger but I cannot for the life of me figure it out... they say they will send me a message to verify but I never get a message :/ I deleted it and reinstalled it but no luck so any other ideas? Or help with that?

Well I was hoping that I could still use my number so I don't confuse people with mismatched numbers :/

I think you can use google and keep your number. I remember I set it up but didn't want to pay to use my original number or something like that. I can't remember.
Okay thanks man I shall take a look into that I'm trying anything anyone offers that whatsapp never sends me a confirmation text so it doesn't work:/

I use Text+ and have found it to be great. Though it does give a different number my wife just put it in her address book as my tablet. I can at least use it both on my phone and tablet and still have the same number for both.
I might have to try one of these. When I go hang out a my cousins house my phone switches the network to telcel since we are close to the border so this would help me out some.
Gosms is nice..
*Kingpin... get it?*
I use mysms. I can use it from the PC, tablet and phone, and it syncs the message throughout all my devices. Its also free from the market.
google voice does this... works great

This is what I use on my Kindle Fire, and it works alright. Not sure if it has a notification alert.
Hey
Has anyone found a quality application that once its installed on a phone it will:
remain invisible to the user
record/send all SMS, MMS, and possibly GTalk/other
record/send all phone calls (voice)
everything sent to a single access point
potentially control how/when sent to force over wifi at specific time, etc
Any app you have used that does some/most of this, can you please link it for me? paid or free is ok.
I thank you for your help and yes this will be used on phones I own and have full rights over with the user's knowledge.
This is so wrong. I don't think this is allowed. I don't think anyone can post a link to an app like that, even if you have the rights. Someone else could use it in the wrong way.

Its to monitor my children's phone. No different than the monitoring software on my PCs. They know it will be installed and when they are a bit older and more mature, it will be removed.

I am pretty sure nothing out there offers call recording. But, this has most of what you want.
Okay well you can't get an app like that I can guarentee you that. No app can record voice calls, not even with root permission, it is due to android limitations. I don't believe MMS either, but don't take my word on that. But the thing that makes me feel pretty suspicious is that you say that your kids will know the app is on the device and you have their permission, but why do you want the app to be hidden from the devices user? If you want to be able to monitor their phones well, install androidlost on their devices and set it up to an account that you control. I'm sorry but I will not post any links to any secret monitoring apps because I do not approve of them, and they are illegal without permission, and in all truth just because you say you have permission, doesn't prove to me you have permission, you could be lying to me and you want to put this on some random friends phone to monitor his/her phone. Sorry I just can't be sure.

Only reason to be invisible is so they cannot simply remove it.

Tell them not to remove the app, and if they do the website will inform you because it will stop receiving information from the phone, and then you can just take away their phone.

Either way... any app that has the monitoring and you know is not a virus, etc is really what I'm looking for.

This is about 80% of what you're talking about.
It can do everything in bold:
remain invisible to the user
record/send all SMS, MMS, and possibly GTalk/other
record/send all phone calls (voice) <- Call log only
everything sent to a single access point
potentially control how/when sent to force over wifi at specific time, etc'
It's the best security app for Android.

It does not remain fully invisible to the user. It still shows up under the application list.

Last night, I lost my phone while I was out partying. Im not that upset about the loss, since I was going to upgrade it to a Nexus 4 anyway. The only thing that worries me, is that if someone finds the phone, they have acces to all my Google services, Facebook, etc.
Is there a way to prevent that? A way to log me out on all devices?
Anything that can prevent people from accesing my private information. I had my Gmail, my drive files, etc. on the phone.
Im afraid my lockscreen was on "slide to unlock" aswell. So there is not much protection there.
I really hope you can help me out here. It was a Galaxy Nexus running Cyanogenmod.

If it was linked to a microsoft exchange account, you can make it do a remote wipe.
next time use avast antivirus with anti-theft, great app, you can lock your smartphone via remote...

oh its not good at all. you should change your all passwords as soon as possible, and the next step is to inform your nearest police station about this lost.
