Hi guys,
I am considering getting a Note 10.1 as I watch alot of Videos where I take notes / or doing exercises in a PDF at the same time. Does anyone know if it is possible with the default Video Player to change speed of the playback as I would like to be able to multitask between taking notes whilst a Video is running at a faster playback speed?
I currently just run enounce on a PC for speeding up playback of but would prefer a more portable device when travelling etc ...
TIA
You can always download VLC and use its extensive feature, so you shouldn't have any problems with that.

My Dear Friends
I am using HTC Touch HD running Windows Mobile 6.1 and stock ROM. I have the latest Youtube player installed to watch youtube through my wi-fi connection. However I don't like the Youtube video quality as it is a bit pixelated even on my wifi and there is no way to change it to high quality from the Youtube player. I have latest version of Skyfire too but even there I dont like the Youtube quality. Compared to this my Ipod Touch 3G plays high quality youtube on my wifi.
Is there any application which allows me to watch streaming youtube videos in high quality just like on Ipod Touch. I have searched the internet over the last couple of days but couldn't find a suitable application.
I shall be highly thankful and obliged if someone can guide towards such application for playing streaming High Quality Youtube videos
Hello. By searching it I find topics 5 years old, I couldn't find any solution.
I can read my network shares through file browser. I can play any videos by using mobo player, vplayer or rockplayer. I have noticed that 720p videos are very heavy, they are not smooth when software decoding, but they are smooth enough when hardware decoding with rockplayer : there will be no audio though.
- I have videos 720p on my desktop pc (mkv)
- I have a working wifi network with sharing
- I have a desire hd with enough video players and file explorers
What I want to do:
Over wifi, stream the videos on the phone without having the need to save other files. I was able to reproduce the videos WITHOUT waiting the download on the phone (stream), but they weren't smooth.
I guess 720p is too heavy for the desire hd?
So the questions would actually be:
1 - is there a way to stream the videos from the desktop pc hard drive with a quality INFERIOR to 720p ? Like a 'bitrate downgrade' on the fly, similar to what you would do on youtube by choosing the resolution you want for the selected video.
2 - Second solution (I may sound funny but I am not too expert in these things): is there a way to use the phone as a remote screen, that means the phone DOESN'T process the video. All the work would be done by the PC cpu which can run 720p just fine. The phone would just be a video output over the wifi, making the video pretty much smooth. Of course with enough buffer to get the video ready to go to the phone. Just like you can use the phone as a wifi camera, maybe you can use it as a wifi screen ?
Desire HD root, s-off, rcmixhd rom (sense)
VLC direct fixed everything for me. Can browse the whole pc, stream 720p with lower bitrate (extremely smooth and still sharp picture for a 4.3 display).
I'm looking for a video player with loop/repeat option, so I can test battery capacity with standart "65% brightness 720p video loop" test.
I've only found some horrible apps on market with that option, with ugly interface and only a handful of supported video types. Need mp4 for this one... Nice players like MX, Rock and V don't have 'repeat' option.
Hardware reviews often mention this type of test, so I guess they're using some app for looping video - I doubt they just watch the tablet and seek back when the playback is finished
Hey guise.
I was wondering if there was any video player on android that can handle most video types or scale down video its incapable of playing at full quality. The video compatibility is the biggest problem on my tablet, maybe other users as well.
Try MX Video.
Hello,
I have purchased a second hand T95Z plus, but have been experiencing issues with FullHD videos playback. Everything that is above 7Mbps is lagging. Tried different players - VLC, PlayerXtreme, the integrated video player. Tried with Wifi as well as with ethernet connection. Every time I play a decent FullHD quality video, it starts lagging. Just to confirm, this is not only for streams, but for videos stored internally and on a network share.
Obviously the issue is not with the connectivity, but with the video playback. The box itself is advertised as "easily" able to stream 4K videos, so I am afraid that it might have some hardware issues as 1080p videos with >7Mbps bitrate is lagging.
There might be overheating or some other related issues, but I am fairly new to this, thus am seeking help from other people with more experience with this device. If there is someone that is able to help me narrow down the main cause of this, I would be really thankful.
Here are details:
Android 7.1.2
Build: T5ZPE1081
BTW, when I start some 4K UHD video in Youtube it is playing it just fine. So maybe the issue is with the encoding or the video players that I use? Cause the 4K Youtube video is showing bitrate between 15 and 30Mbps.
