Whats the best - HTC One S

What are the best kernels and roms

WOW a post like this, right smack dab in the Development section, bypassing Q&A should get an automatic 3 day ban or something for not following the simplest of rules LMAO! How comical. And for not even glancing over the rules! This is hilarious! Lol

The best is when you learn to post in the right section.

Last night, a guy posted that he is undermining the forum rules and posting here to get emergency help. Didn't get flamed too bad. This guy get's flamed xD. But it's all personal choice.

I'd love to see that this thread would be closed right now..
Have a nice weekend, cheers

The dev section is no place for questions. Also there is no best ROM for a individual user, so the question is subjective based on individual needs. Please take some time and read the posts in the dev section, that way you can make your own mind up which is best for your individual needs.

Keylogger found on MIUI.us

MIUI Android discovered a key logger on MIUI.us. You can read about it on Twitter. MIUI Android contacted MIUI.us' dev but things got ugly afterwards.
Here's the (mobile) link to MIUI Android's Twitter so you can read everything if you're interested.

I've posted this exact message on MIUI.us based ROM and the hellraised MIUI/WIUI thread in the i777 forums just in case (because that's my phone).
I don't know if I'm doing it right, this is my first thread here. I just want you guys know about the situation.
The name of the .apk in question is LatinIME. I don't know if any of the MIUI ROMS ports for our phone has that .apk.
Just be careful guys.

Why is this thread not closed already, like the other thread?
Thanks for the info.

Haha thats what MIUI deserves
Some say no publicity is bad publicity...
Might work out in MIUI's favor in the end...
you realize that it was a false positive right

THIS guy! (A thread about lame mods)

Alright let's face it... some of these mods up here are ridiculous. This thread is about them. About the mods seemingly have no time on their hands for anything else other than bringing down the rent-a-mod hammer on people. I know I'm not alone so I'll start with THIS guy G1ForFun who apparently had enough to time to pm and warn me that I'll be infracted for non-sense posts on NON-sense threads ( which he conveniently overlooked over.. lol )
Yea. Some of these guys are out their minds. Was this message necessary at all? I was warned for nonsense posts in nonsense threads minus the cm9 camera Bork.
GOOD JOB MOD!!! You're making a huge difference around here. Get real dude lol

Reported. The OP should learn that XDA has rules and he needs to abide by them or f**k off to another site as he won't be missed.
XDA is seriously going downhill at the moment; we need more restrictions for newbies until such time as they can prove themselves to be responsible and trustworthy.

but he's not exactly a newbie and has been here longer than most of us have lol
If you got a problem with a mod, take it to admin. That is where the real power lies.

There are other ways to fix a situation with Mod, but definitely not this one.

If you are really that desperate to know then search and find out for yourself. This has nothing to do with phone development - at the least this thread should have been posted in Off-Topic, where it could have been flamed to death by people far better than me.

This thread isn't in phone development and this thread is located in general discussion/questions and answers.so I can ask any question I want because its in question and answer also its in general discussion so some people would love to discuss some stuff.

Actually a better place to put this is under about xda-developers.com
The general section actually means general discussion of phones, not just any random thing you feel like talking about.
The oldest thread is probably some post by an admin outlining the rules of xda when it first started, or a post talking about what the site is for and what he wanted it to become.

Alternative to XDA Marketplace?

Since the marketplace is closing down, where is everyone going to trade/sell/buy their devices now? I know there's ebay, but I loved the reading aspect the marketplace had.

You posted the same question in the 'General' forum and had it answered ("ebay") and locked by a Mod - yet you thought it was a good idea to come in here and ask again? How long do you think this thread will last?

Your other identical thread was closed for being in the wrong section. I believe Q&A is the appropriate place for such a question so I'll let it go for now, but it will be closely monitored and may be closed.
Why not try Amazon or Sulit.com.ph?

[Q] What is(are) the best kernel(s) ?

Hi guys !
Just a quick question as I will be receiving my N5 fairly soon I wanted to know what is the best kernel for this phone or at least for my use which is not that intensive but battery life is always a plus and I have to say the tap2unlock is really appealing.

Okay, sorry guys, silly me:silly:, forgot about that, I'm actually in a lot of different forums and I sometimes forget some of the rules.
I'll try them and see for myself, feel free to delete this thread, and again, sorry.
As everyone has pointed out these threads are not allowed on XDA as highlited in my post stickied at the top of the section.
